Lacy ran diagnostics and got back to me in less than 2 days. ALthough he could not recreate my "freeze up" in the shop, he did some files clean up and addressed a few other issues at Start Up which might cause conflicts. He made some suggestions to help troubleshoot with my peripherals at home regarding this problem which I intend to try. I have only had the PC home 3 days but so far it is behaving well with no problem and downloading at Start Up more quickly. Lacy only charged me the initial diagnostic fee which was very reasonable and nothing further. I would definitely return to East Coast Computor for my future computor fixes,

I truly enjoyed working with Lacy at East Coast Computers. He thoroughly explained the problem with my laptop prior to conducting the detailed diagnostics and contacted me again to discuss various options with salvaging my laptop or just accessing the data from my hard drive. Lacy provide me with multiple service options that were cost effective for my budget. I was appreciative for his honesty, integrity, and quality service. I also enjoyed the service provided by his colleague as well. This is a great place to visit for all of your computer, laptop, and technology needs. I will visit East Coast Computers again in the future.

I took the computer in for their free checkup because it had stopped working after a spark and small "explosion". I had taken it to East Coast about a year ago for a problem with the case, and they had down a great job solving that problem. I was hoping that they could solve this one. They did the free checkup and determined that it was working fine after discharging the electricity. They took extra time to check that the device manager showed no issues from the electric surge. They were very helpful, honest and professional.

Because the continuous pop-ups were annoying me, I uninstalled Internet Explorer from my Samsung laptop. When I purchased a Neat desktop scanner I needed internet explorer to install the program (my experience is that their website software download will only work with this service).  After attempting to download Internet Explorer from Microsoft, it said there were missing drivers for which I needed the original software.  After attempting a "repair" using the Samsung/Windows software, my computer went bluescreen on me.  I was eventually able to reinstall the Windows program from the Samsung/Windows software, but none of the Samsung drivers worked (printer, internet, etc.) and my backup disk did not fix the issue.  Knowing when I'm beaten I used Angie's List to find a computer repair service.
Once I was there, Lacy at East Coast Computers asked me if I had a warranty on the computer.  I hadn't, but appreciated him asking.   Then he pointed out something I hadn't considered before my visit to them: was my computer worth fixing? I hadn't considered that either. He told me he would include this in his evaluation process and let me know.
 After I explained the problem to him, he reassured me that I genuine Windows products by looking at the bottom of the computer. 
(I only had the Samsung/Windows disk that seemed defective).  He explained what he thought he would need to do and how much time he thought it would take.  We agreed on a price maximum and I left feeling comfortable that he would do no more in services above the dollar amount we agreed upon.
Lacy did exactly what he said he would do and under the price he quoted. He was even able to find my files and reinstall them so I didn't lose any of my data.
I don't have to point out, but I will, that he could have said he needed all the time quoted for the repair and taken up to the amount I approved and I would have been none the wiser and still happy to have my computer repaired. But he didn't.  
That was impressive enough, but I was really impressed when I went to pick up my computer.  After discussing how I was trying to install the "Neat" software, he helped me download it, helped me download the app to my phone, practiced using the software with me and even called one of his family members who had the same product to ask a question I had. Then to top it off, while I was discussing my need for a rollerball mouse for my mother who arthritis, he offered to go home and bring me one of his.  I didn't have to take him up on his offer as they had one in the store I could purchase, but geez, how nice was that?
I was really impressed with the quality of the repair on my computer and the price, but it was the genuine friendliness and the going beyond helpfulness that has made me an East Coast Computers fan.  I've told all my friends and family about them.

Everything went well.  The technician contacted me (promptly) and answered all my questions.  Great work.

Great. I took it in, got an estimate for a repair. I  mistakenly took it to someone else and they made it worse. I took it back to East Coast and they took it, repaired it.

I had gone to them based on what other people had said about them.  They were very good about calling me and trying to get in touch with me and that was good.

Everything went great. Even carried the PC out to the car for me. I called and they said they were busy and said it might be 2 days before they could get to it, unless it was a simple problem.  When I went in to drop it off, he asked me to wait so he could look at it and let me know if it would be a quick fix or whether I'd be waiting a few days.  He called me into his repair room and showed me the quick fix, which was to unplug two usb ports.  Then he turned on the computer and it was fine.  Since I didn't need the usb ports anyway, he sealed them up, cleaned the hardware and reassymbled.  I was done in less than 30 minutes. Geeksquad wanted the computer for 2-4 weeks. I have no problem recommending this company.

I would do business here again. Trustworthy and knowledgeable staff. Competitive pricing with other computer repair stores in the area.

It went well.

Called in the morning and Tech Man was here at 7pm. My network was offline Igot a new wireless roater adpt and lost all internet use. After just under one hour I am up and running again. This is the second time I have used East Coast Computer. And each time I have gotten great response and service. I have called other computer service companys but they always have long times till the can get to you. I think this one is a keeper.
