DAVE'S CONCRETE

Dave told me that he would be at my house at 7am and arrived at 6:52 am. They started work promptly. When I came home for lunch at 12 pm the old driveway was already removed and the new concrete poured. His crew was finishing the surface. When I asked if my grandson could put his name in the new pour they said ok. They even left a semi frame around his name when they brush finished the new. Would I recommend him, Absolutely. Was a great price, and the workers were courteous and efficient. The owner was a pleasure to work with and brought smiles to my wife's face.

Although we had a long wait for the work, it was well worth the time for the beautiful and professional job done by Dave's Concrete. Our original concrete plan was improved by being realigned in a much prettier form, and the drainage of the concrete and the wider width of the sidewalks make all of it easier to use. Our yard was kept in good condition, and the edges were graded nicely after the work had been completed. We also were given good advice/instructions on how to keep the concrete looking good. Dave of Dave's Concrete was on-site for the entire job, but his crew of workers were exemplary--hard working and courteous.

Dave and his crew are excellent. He is very knowledgeable about concrete and thoroughly explained the estimate and the job as it progressed. His crew is on time, uniformed, polite, nonsmoking and they cleaned up the job site every day. We had weather delays so it was months between estimate and the job but it was worth the wait, our new drive and sidewalk look wonderful and make the house look fabulous. I highly recommend Dave.

Dave was thoroughly professional - came out to give an estimate
promptly, and did the work in the 2 days promised. The finished drive
looks great. He also - voluntarily - dug a trench for a new water line
and placed the line in the trench for our plumber to connect later. A
great contractor.

Everything went great. Job was completed on time exactly as indicated. The driveway is great.

It went very well. Dave and his crew of 5 worked very hard. The first day they removed our old driveway, front sidewalk and the walk to the side garage door.  They laid out the forms for a wider driveway and walkways that provided more curb appeal.  The second day they poured the new concrete.  Dave, the business owner, was on-site all the time and worked along side of his employees. Great job! Thank you.

Dave was very good at the time of estimate tell me what he would do and why.  Estimate was very easy to understand.  Work was done in estimated 3 days on time. Good Clean up. He and his men were there 7AM and were neat and cleaned up after the work.  Dave answered all my questions at each step of the project.  I would strongly recommend him.  I would use him again.

Dave has been a little busy this summer so it took a couple of months after signing the contract for the job to start.  I had no problem with this.  When Dave and his crew showed up on the 27th at about 0700, they got right to work.  We went over the details and then his crew proceeded to demonish the existing structure.  They were there until about 4 PM and Dave was with them the entire time.  Ended up taking away about 5 truckloads of old concrete.   They were back to the job on the nexdtf day at 0730 and proceeded to finish up all of the work.  i cannot say enough about Dave and his crew.  They worked diligently from start fo finish and now, about a week later, after curing and all, the driveway looks beautiful.  I would use them again for any concrete project.

Dave and his crew are excellent! They are professional and efficient with their time. They broke up and removed the old concrete patio and sidewalk and replaced it all in one day. They even replaced the landscape bricks I had that bordered each side of the sidewalk. We first learned of Dave's Concrete when a neighbor had their driveway replaced and extended. Since, three other households on our street have used him this summer! Highly recommend!!!

He was present - on site the entire time the job was being done - except when he had to take the old concrete which had been scooped up into a truck - he took it to the landfill -
otherwise, he was present the entire time!

I contacted several companies from Angie's list to do a tear out, widening, and replacement of an existing driveway. One never called back., and the 3 others offered bids that were about $2000 difference from low to high. From my perspective, Dave was a straight shooter with no BS. I felt from the beginning he was a contractor with high integrity, and probably would have chosen him to do the work even if he was the highest. Nice to find contractors who do what they say.

Dave and his crew are superb craftsmen; no detail was left alone.  Dave regraded the driveway for water run-off, widened the 1930s footprint, replaced a couple of sections that were not in the original estimate, dealt with a nasty neighbor, and left the site in pristine condition.  In addition--something that is important to me--Dave is friendly, honest, punctual, and so very accomodating.  He is a true pleasure to work with.
Dave arrived very quickly after we contacted him, measured, and immediately submitted an accurate estimate.  He made excellent suggestions without putting pressure on us to do more than we wanted to.  Ultimately, his estimate was far less than that of the other concrete contractor we contacted.  However, that was not the major reason we chose Dave's Concrete: we selected him because of his integrity--a choice that was well-rewarded.
Dave and his crew are also meticulous.  As I said, every detail was checked and double-checked.  He also puts a fiber addition into the cement to prevent future cracking, and he left the site spotless, and the wonderful men who work for Dave were friendly and skilled at their jobs.
When we went to the city for permits, the city people--and the people who marked for utilities--all sang Dave's praises, telling us again and again what a good choice we had made.

Dave clearly described what he would do, provided detailed description in contract exactly matching what he said he would do.  Then he followed through as scheduled doing exactly what the contract prescribed.  Professional, punctual and pleasant.  I'd hire Dave again!

The work was completed in two days.  The first day Dave and his crew removed an old patio slab. The crew hand dug the foundation slab footings, installed the proper fill and added the rebar as well as preparing and framing the the other two parts of the project..  The foundation slab was inspected and passed with no questions or concerns by the City Inspector.  The second day Dave and his crew poured all three slabs.  Due to overnight rains and the ground being wet Dave went to extra lengths to minimize any damage to my side yard by laying down a plywood ramp to the backyard and using a power wheel barrel to move the concrete from the street to the project site.  The project was completed to my great satisfaction and was done exactly as Dave and I had discussed prior to the start of the project.  From the handshake that started the process to the handshake at the end, Dave communicated with me and kept me abreast of the project schedule and any issue.  Dave was onsite during the work to ensure it went smoothly an according to the plan.  I highly recommend Dave's Concrete.

My grandmother and I were looking to get our driveway done because roots from a nearby pine tree had caused the concrete to raise.   Dave and his crew were prompt and on time, and they did an excellent job from start to finish.  He was very professional and so was his crew, they were polite and courteous and hard working.  Dave's crew was neat and clean not leaving debris laying around.  Dave added a new look and feel to the walkway in the front of my house there is more space and its nice and smooth.  Since we live on a corner lot many people stopped and inquired about his work and I think he will have more jobs in my neighborhood.  My grandmother and I are very pleased with his work and how efficient and neat the process was.    We would use him again and we would recommend him to friends and neighbors. 

It is sooo pretty!  He did such a good job on it.  He frequently showed up early to do work, and he is very professional.  On the off chance he did run late, he called ahead to let us know.  It is a small company, but he gave us an estimate on what we wanted to do and he stuck by that estimate.  He even takes checks.  He needs to be patted on the back because he does great work.

He had the job done in a-day-and-a-half. He does excellent work and is fast. People down the street saw his work and I think he got two or three other jobs based on our job. He made recommendations to us and we accepted his ideas.
