• Day 1.  Hardwood delivery, 1 day late due to thunderstorms. 
• Day 2.  Floor prep. Removal of carpet, laminate and linoleum in areas designated for hardwood.
• Day 3-5.  Hardwood installation. The wood sat in the house only 1 day; but the vendor said that the wood shipped from a climate-controlled warehouse in Richmond to his own climate-controlled warehouse.  Mild weather allowed the workmen to keep the doors open and air circulating to minimize dust as they ripped out the old flooring.  

The last day was devoted to trim and the stairs.  The workmen could not install the hardwood on the stairs until the particle-board steps were replaced with better wood. That was the only glitch. It didn't result in a delay. Replacing the wood added $600 to the cost.  We agreed to split it with the vendor.
We had 2 days to put  back the small items in the completed rooms, and move the stuff out of  4 other rooms in time for the carpet installers.
Day 6 (Day 8 in elapsed time) Carpet installation.  Beds were dismantled and all but the heaviest pieces removed from the rooms.  The hardwood went in first because of the dust, larger area and complexity. But the carpeting was trickier because the furniture couldn't be put on the new hardwood without risk. That meant carpeting a room and then using it to stash furniture from the next unfinished room, and so on. 
 
Both 2-man installation crews were punctual, skilled and hard-working. They took away the flooring trash when they left. Best of all, the whole job was completed on schedule. (On schedule also meant that we had to do our part: moving the little stuff out of the installers' way in a timely fashion is a chore that should not be underestimated.) They always arrived early. Cars had to be moved out of the driveway and garage to accommodate the work.
We are very pleased with the quality of the work. We visited 3 other flooring vendors. Creative Floorworks did the best job of simplifying the experience, being attentive to our wants and needs. After the materials selection, Mr. Saghafi came by the house to measure. Before he left, we knew the price and timing, and all our questions were answered. Throughout the installations, he came to check on progress and keep things on track.

I really couldn t believe how fast they got the job done. Everything was so even and smooth. They really did hard work and they were all skilled in floor work. They cleaned up the whole mess when they were done and they were kind and polite people.

They came out exactly when they said they would. The crew looked very knowledgeable and professional. They did a beautiful job and we are very happy with their work. We were very comfortable having them in our home and would recommend them to everyone. They did a very good job of cleaning up their mess. We have not had any problems with the job.
