Mr. McGrath did a great job. He was pleasant and kind to work with, explaining what he was doing and why. And I will be calling him back for other projects in the future.

Clay was recommended to us by Greenbrier Lighting. I contacted him and made an appointment to have him give us an estimate. The quote was very fair for the amount of time the job would take....about 20 outdorr fixtures were being replaced. We then contacted him when our fixtures arrived. We agreed upon a date and time for installation and it was done efficiently, neatly, and competently. I would definitely use Clay McGrath again and would recommend him to others. He is very easy to communicate with, and he is a very nice man to deal with.

Clay McGrath is a reliable and competent electrician. He is fair and reasonable with his costs. He is courteous, helpful and reliable. If he needs to reschedule an appointment he calls in a timely manner and is always punctual.
This is the first report I have written on Clay McGrath, and am writing only because I saw his name in the Angie's List magazine with a request for more reviews. To be frank, I would call him first for any electrical work and have since about 2003. He has done multiple jobs in my home including 1) installed lighting fixture in remodeled kitchen, 2) installed outside outlets in backyard, on deck on on front porch, 3) installed additional outlet in upstairs hallway, 4) replaced pole lamp in front yard, and 5) installed additional cable tv outlet. These jobs included working under the house. I would have rated him with an A on each job had I written a review a the time.
Clay McGrath is happy to have the home owner help him in his work and is willing to answer all questions and provide instruction along with reasons for what he is doing.

He is practically a friend of mine. He is my electrician. He is reasonable and within the industry standards. He is very nice and accommodating. When he was installing the light, he was really concerned about the location to make sure that it worked with what I wanted. He was very particular about putting the light in the right location. I will use him again in the future.

Whenever my microwave was used, the circuit blew. I called Clay to see if he could look at the problem and to give me an estimate. He came by my house and took a look at the problem. He gave me suggestions on how to fix it myself. He suggested to go to a hardware store to get a new circuit breaker for my box. "Maybe," he said, "it is just a bad breaker." Well, after we replaced the breaker, the problem still existed. I called him again and we decided the least expensive option was to put a dedicated circuit to the microwave. So, we made an appointment and he came by again with all his tools and spend some time in my attic and at my breaker box. He removed my microwave, put some wires there, added a receptacle so I can plug in the microwave w/o taking it down. Then, he cleaned up the areas he was working. When he was all done, we checked the microwave and guess what happened? The darned thing started smoking!!! It was not an electrical problem at all!!!! My megatron thingie in the microwave had gone bad. So, I called the home insurance agency and they replaced the microwave.
