CASA DECKS

CASA is one of the best and most professional contractors that I have ever worked with.  George Drummond (the owner) was courteous in all aspects of the project.  He and his work partner, Zack. treated me, my family and my property with the utmost respect.

I had wanted to install a composite deck and rail posts on two sides of my house and have a rotten side entrance rail replaced with an up to date railing.

I contacted CASA because of other good ratings on Angie's in early August 2015 .  He came within a few days to look at the property and a rough sketch I had made of what I wanted.  We discussed several options and he indicated what he thought would be the most practical and we agreed on the types of material.  He did state that he was very busy and the earliest he could begin was the first week in January 2016.  I indicated that would be fine and he said he would send out samples and a quote within the week.

I received a quote in the mail (and email) on time as he said and I agreed to it.  He stopped by several days later with material  drops for my selection along with a computer drawing of the visualized decking.  After I finalized the contract cost with him I noticed two main entrance railings were not shown and the quote for the side entrance rail was not included.  I called him about these and he stated the main rails would be included with the estimate and he apologized for the side rails but gave me a great cost estimate for them stating he would only charge for the material since labor could be done concurrently with the main deck.

George contacted me the first week of Jan 16 and stated he would start the end of the week and apologized but weather had him a couple of days off schedule.  I told him I understood the situation and I wanted to keep the contract.

As he promised, the material showed up a day before he started and he had the basic labor done for the inspector on his first workday.  From then to completion was almost exactly within the time span he had estimated 5 months before.  During that time he keep me continually in the loop as to what was being done and came up with several great variations to the basic design for better access and eye appeal.  At the end of the days he and Zack completely cleaned up the area and removed any trash that was generated.  Also, I had wanted the side entrance railing to have a removable section to it so that I would be able to use the kitchen entrance to use for appliance install and removal.  He went beyond that and made a gate out of the railing to a much better design than I had imagined originally. 

Other items that I needed was access to water pipes and sewer clean-out and fitment around the sat dish.  All these he did with expert finesse in addition to adding beautiful detail work at the entrances to the main decks and stairways.  He completed the 500+ square foot deck exactly on budgeted estimate that he made months before.   

It must be said that he would not take any payments until the job was completed and we were completely happy with the work and only then when he sent the final quote a week after completion. 

There are many neighbors that have watched his work while it was being done and we have had several people inquire about it.

We could not be happier with the relationship and the work provided by George, Zack and CASA Decking.

They didn't ask for any money up front, that was one thing I really liked. He was knowledgeable about what he was talking about and he wasn't pushy. He was just a great guy, George is a fantastic man. The price was excellent. I got about 4 quotes and he was the guy in the middle. The quality is excellent, as was his responsiveness. I would recommend him to anybody.

George is an awesome contractor! He provided a detailed quote for the job and took all the time we needed to explain everything to us. Our home backs up to a wildlife preserve which created some unique issues for the permit process. George directed us to the people we needed to get the necessary permits.
At every step of the process, George communicated frequently to keep us updated on the status of our project. He was always responsive to our emails and phone calls and provided so much up-front information that we rarely had questions.
The project started right on time. George and Zack worked every day except a few that were too rainy for work. I've never seen anyone work harder than those two men. Even with the rain days, the project was done right on time!
There is no one I'd recommend more for a screened porch, deck, or any kind of project.
If I could give Casa Decks a grade higher than an A, I would. Consider my grade for this company to be A+++++!

The job was huge and required 2 solid weeks of work to take down and dispose of the old decking and then redo the new. George and his crew culd not have been more accomodating to our lifestyle (3 big dogs and summer near our pool) . They were truly professional and very skilled. I would use them again ina heartbeat! Perhaps not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and more with George! His advice and experience were invaluable.

On time. on target and the cost was exactly what we were promised.

They did a major job. I loved them and when I'm going to do my deck in the back, I will call them again. I would highly recommend them. I wanted to do a report on Angie's List with pictures because I started with three foot big porch and I now have an 8 foot by 32 porch on the front which turns to a 14 by 26 foot deck. They did a beautiful job and my whole neighborhood has come by to look at it. I have three people already come out ask about it because it looks gorgeous. I have recommended them to several people already. They did a good job.

That went very well. The only problem we had was with the city inspector getting out in a timely fashion. I was pleased because the had all of the documentation for his insurance, got the city permit ahead of time, and had everything on schedule.

George is very professional. Kept me completely informed both prior to and during project. Highly recommended.

I wish Angie's list would allow me to get an A++. It was an absolute dream working with George. He is incredibly professional, always on time, and updated us weekly on the location of materials, building permits, etc. In terms of the word provided, the deck looks FANTASTIC. Our neighbors have each stopped by to comment on how great the deck looks. George's quoted price was also spot on, and significanly less than other bids we received. I highly recommend Casa Decks!
