TEST drove and inspected a few vehicles I was interested in purchasing at the time. Spoke to several sales people within a 4 week time period. Each one person offered vehicle test drives without sales pressure to buy.

I think one of the best company I've been out with for used cars is Carmax. They're pretty much in the large cities. They're a large chain. They're very professional. They're not high-pressured for the people. The pricing is good and the selection is excellent. We looked at every dealership for the cars but their selection was really good. It was very quick to purchase a car. They have a very good follow-up. I would buy another car from them in the future.

Very easy process start to finish. We purchased a truck within 2 hours and were back home.

First time I bought a car without going through a local dealer. These folks are a class act. I got a great vehicle for my wife, traded in the old minivan and got a good trade in price. Best part - no haggle. The customer service is the best ever. I had to transfer a vehicle - the salesman made sure it arrived before Thanksgiving. The warranty on a used vehicle is up to 150,000 miles - and far cheaper than a local dealer. All vehicles come with a 30 day warranty. I will never go to a car dealer again. The web based search service for a vehicle is unmatched and you can tailor your search with multiple vehicles and daily email updates. My salesman was highly informed on the vehicle we bought. I will seek him out again. The paperwork for the sale took only two hours - which includes transfer of registration and plates - therefore no DMW visit or wait in the mail. The only drawback - I used my USAA finance option - CarMax finance rates are higher than many credit unions or USAA.

We needed to purchase a vehicle for my son to use in college. My wife and I wanted practical, he wanted "cool". Found a 2000 Ford Mustang convertible (he won) that had 90,000 miles on it. At first I was against it, too many miles. But after looking over it very carefully and taking it to my personal mechanic to check it out (he said it was in excellent shape) I decided to purchase it although it was priced higher than blue book value ($8,000). My mechanic noted that it had a slight crack in the exhaust manifold which you could only detect when the engine first started (after the engine heated up the metal expanded so you couldn't hear exhaust leak). They replaced it within two days (had to order the part) with no questions asked. This was after I purchased it during the 30 day warranty period.

I had a lot of problems with them, the vehicle they sold me was in an accident and they never told me. I had to go through a lot of hoops to get my money back. Their professionalism is horrible!! I would never use them again and would never recommend them to anyone!!!!
