Although I selected this company because of the rating it received on Angie's list, I don't think it lived up to the reputation it presented.  There was minimum communication and when there was it was ambiguous.  This resulted in having incorrect information on the closing paperwork.  The day of closing was not as smooth as I would have liked, with changes being made "on the go" and agents questioning each other on the process.  The person who did the paperwork was not the person who presented it to me, so many of the questions were not answered without leaving the room and asking the person who completed the documents.  In the end, I was able to get all of my questions answered and the right amount returned to me at closing.  Better preparation, communication, and research of the "new laws" would have made this a better company to work with.

I was selling my old home and purchasing a new home in Virginia Beach. I was a little overwhelmed with what exactly I needed to do to make the transition as smooth as possible. That was the best call I made during the transition. Michelle had all the answers to my many many (probably annoying) questions about the closing. She was extremely knowledgable about the real estate market and buying and selling process. She handled the closing of my sale and then when I found the new home I wanted to purchase, she explained some of the different financing options and got me in touch with a great mortgage guy that she referred. I put the offer on my new house, got the loan approved, and had Michelle at Bayville Title and Escrow handle the closing. There were a couple of issues with the properties title right before the closing that came up and Michellle handled them so quickly that it didn't budge the closing by even a minute! We didn't realize what a difference it was to have an amazing closing agent to handle the transaction but now know that it can be a breeze with the right companies help.

A friend recommended Bayville Title and Escrow, LLC. Since this was my first home, I wanted to use a company that would take care of all my needs and explain all the procedures carefully. The seller did not have representation, so they used Bayville Title and Escrow as well. The closing went smoothly, their location is easy to find and they explained all the documents very carefully. After closing, they gave us a gift basket, it was so nice!! The staff was very professional. I would highly recommend them to my friends!
