Back Bay Boxes

A rock from one of their rolloff trucks hit my windshield and broke it. I immediately called the company and was told that they would not pay and would not give their insurance information. Told me it’s too bad and it’s a road hazard. The guy that answered the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional.

It is going very well, they are very nice.

Once the box was removed, I noticed that there was damage to my driveway which consisted of a 6 foot wide slight indentation where the box must have had a bar across the width underneath that it rested on. It had chipped away part of the upper layer of concrete in several areas of the indentation.
I contacted the owner of the company (Greg) who would not accept responsibility for the damage. He actually told me and quot;my driver delivered it, NOT MEand quot;. He let me know that it is the homeowner's responsibility to prevent damage and to provide wood for underneath the dumpster. Had I suspected at all that it could have caused damage, I definately would have taken precautions. I have never had a box delivered and had no reason to suspect that damage might occur. IF the box company is not providing this info, I believe the fault lies with them. His position was that he never spoke to me so it was not his fault. Since he did tell me that he does have customers who provide their own wood, he is aware that the boxes can cause damage. This makes him the Subject Matter Expert and this info needs to be provided to every customer before the box is set in the driveway.
Since the box company is aware that damage might occur, they should either ensure that they prevent the damage OR make sure he homeowner is aware so precautions can be taken. Failure on their part in my opinion. Customer care is not part of their plan.

They were great. If I had to get a box, I'd call Back Bay Boxes. I got six boxes and they gave me a really good price. The boxes were the big ones, around 40 foot. When you call them, they tell you when they are coming, they put the box anywhere you want them to, and when it gets full they come and pick it up.
