Airight Duct Cleaning and Dryer Vent Cleaning

We needed the dryer vent re-cleaned, as previous service provider hadn’t done the job effectively. Dana, owner of Airight, has been cleaning our ducts every year since we moved into our house in 1999. His work has been excellent throughout the years. He and his crew are professional, efficient, on time and courteous. His price is reasonable as well. Airight is the only company we trust when it comes to our ducts.

The owner of Airight, Dana, runs a tight ship as he works alongside his crew and they all get along amazingly and get the job done right. We hired Dana in February for our dryer vents and he did such a great job that we hired him for our air ducts a few months later. He brought in extra crew members to do our ducts and they worked hard from the second they stepped foot in my door. They are honest, timely, extremely thorough and very meticulous. Dana showed me issues in our home, even if they were not fixable, just so that I was aware as a homeowner. The attention to detail is UNREAL. These gentlemen take pride in their job, as they should because they work hard and the quality of their work is impeccable. They also care about their customers health and safety. I have a toddler and they made sure everything was in a secure place and out of his reach. These guys did such an outstanding job on our vents and were so friendly and genuine; honestly, a joy to work with and have in our home.

Dana was honest with us by NOT cleaning the ducts. They were in terrible condition with mold and parts were destroyed by an animal (later found the dead possum). He did fix my dryer vent (poorly done in the first place) and recommended a reputable HVAC company that we had a great experience with to replace the duct work.

He confirmed that I had a mold problem and recommended that we get the ducts replaced due to their age and poor condition (which he doesn't do) rather than cleaned (which he does). So he gave us honest advice even though it didn't earn more money for him.

Dana and his team did a great job preparing our house for move in. The team thoroughly cleaned the dryer duct line that had not been properly cleaned for several years; they cleaned out a high fire risk. They also installed two high quality vent guards to prevent birds and other critters from accessing the dryer duct and first floor bathroom exhaust duct. The team also cleaned the HVAC ducts on our house. They identified some mold in a few of the lines and replaced one of the worst lines. They also pointed out a couple of issues with the HVAC transitions that had tears in the flex line that exposed insulation and some mold on the interior insulation in a metal transition duct for the upstairs HVAC system; both were recommended for replacement or repair by a certified HVAC mechanic. Upon completion, they back-fogged each duct, replaced all vents (28 in total), filled gaps between the metal vent and ceilings on the second floor (should have been done when the house was constructed in 2003), and sanitized both HVAC zones. The mold, issues with the transitions and gaps between the metal vent openings and ceiling holes were not note by the home inspector prior to closing, and were not disclosed by the previous homeowner. Total cost for all the work was around $3300. While the price might seem high, the quality and thoroughness of the work completed, the professionalism and efficiency of the crew, and the large volume of work (cleaned 28 vent lines plus the the main trunk for each of two zones) was very reasonable for the time required and the labor quality. In our prior home, I used another local company who advertises through ValuePak to clean the ducts. Following their service I had issues with collapsed HVAC duct lines afterward that caused icing on the AC unit. Initially, the other company was significantly cheaper, but their work was shoddy, their technician was not as careful and diligent, and ended up costing about the same on a smaller house due to the problems caused by the cleaning. I highly recommend Dana and Airight. I will definitely be calling on them again for dryer vent line and duct cleaning in the future.

They came to clean out my dryer vent. When they arrived, they found that there was no vents at all,. They gave me a price to install new vents., They were here for over 4 and half hours. Did an amazing job. Very nice and professional. Kept me updated on what was going on and asked me about different options that were possible. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves. Would hire them in a second.

Dana and his crew were awesome. they did exactly what I wanted them to do and did it in a timely fashion. The breaker in my house went bad and Dana was able to get an HVAC service out to my house asap to help us out during the heat wave. Once they finished installing the breaker, Nick came out and fogged the system before I had to leave the next morning. they were definitely punctual! best money and service out there!

Dana and his crew were punctual and professional. We ended up paying more for additional work, but it had been several years since the vents and air ducts in our home were cleaned and inspected. We also had our dryer cleaned. They did a very good job.

Very professional, thorough and courteous. Explained all processes. Reattached loose duct. (wasn't getting any air flow in the back room.) Glad to know I won't freeze in my bedroom this winter. Went through all procedures on first visit. Reasonably priced. Worth every penny!

The team was punctual and clean. They did a thorough assessment and made recommendations to replace items that were failing and not supporting ventilation health. The materials and labor quoted was what I expected based on industry standards. I feel the quality of the work was well above industry standard. I will hire again for further cleaning and recommend them every chance I get. The duct work had not been cleaned in over 35 years. The ventilation system now works much better and will continue to because of the repairs made and quality of cleaning.

Good, though felt like they were trying to sell me add on services at every turn.

No work was done. When he got here they arrived without their truck which didn't bode well. Dana and one assistant arrived on time and inspected the house and said we had various problems with our ducts including mold throughout, and they had never been cleaned. One they said couldn't be cleaned because it was "rusted through". And even thoughI could not see daylight; they said insulation prevented that. Even then, I felt they could go forward. I just felt throughout this process they didn't want to do this job? For reference: The house was built In the 80's and we bought it in 2010. We had rented out the house for two years and came back To severe respiratory problems we thought was from severe damage to the house's flooring from the tenants' pets and kids. We have never missed an HVAC appointment on our house. It is inspected and cleaned twice yearly, by we have never had the ducts cleaned. I advised him we had asthmatics and really needed this done to make this house liveable. He refused to do even a Partial job calling that " 1/2 measures " not understanding 1/2 done would be better than nothing for us. Also, Having been quoted $495, he then advised us we had mold throughout our system which was RARE and not only would we have to leave our house, it would take all day to treat and clean and be significantly more expensive. No price was quoted. I would have heard him out had he given me one. Again, He didn't appear to want to clean the ducts in my house. At that point, I felt they needed to leave. My time was wasted in this process. What they found: They found a rusted through duct, that may have had "poop" in it from renters. His employee lifted out Some mass of stuff which looked rusty. This wasn't a pleasant inspection. He wanted me to look in all the vents myself, which I refused to do because I am allergic. That's why I hired him. In the end, he confirmed the ducts were in fact very dirty. Having just now read through these glowing comments, I can see most everyone had mold, so in fact his findings are not that rare! Also, I advised him as he was leaving that we should have been advised of the potential for a much higher price and the potential need for us to leave for the day so we could have made arrangements on a hot day with young children and animals. Where are going to go? The only good part: we didn't spend any money, but he wasted my time!
