We were greeted by Nazy and escorted to one of the private rooms to discuss the sale of a class ring and a family heirloom ring. We received a fair price for the rings and decided to look around while we were there since we have been looking for engagement rings and wedding bands. While browsing engagement rings and bands, I found an engagement ring I loved. My fiance worked with Nazy and talked about price, etc. while I continued to browse. We left the store and on the way home he showed me the picture of the ring that he had taken at the store (he had planned to return to buy it). I immediately knew it wasn't the right one so we turned around and went back. We ended up buying the ring that day and they sized it while we waited. We were so thrilled with the service and quality of the jewelry. Nazy even came out from behind the counter to give me a hug. We plan to return to sell other pieces of jewelry and purchase wedding bands. The only snafu was that the price originally quoted for the ring we purchased was incorrect (though it's possible that the price quoted was for the incorrect ring that my fiance had taken a picture of) and was actually a bit higher. That combined with the inability to locate the certification for the ring was a little unsettling. However, in the end they found the certification, the ring price fit into our budget, and the appraisal was still more than double so we are very happy customers.

Very long wait.  It was a Saturday and it was busy.  I brought in a diamond engagement ring? it had a stone that was slightly less than one carat ( I could not remember if it was .94 or .96) After a very long wait they came back and said that the center diamond was .85 carats.  That is too far from true to be a mistake .  I took it to another jewelry store who now has it on consignment for me and they said it was .94 carat center stone.

I finally went to The Art and Jewelry Exchange of Tysons to see what I could get for a diamond and gold necklace that I received for my wedding 10 years ago.  The marriage did not last and having the necklace in my jewelry box did not make me happy.  It wasn't nice enough to save for my children and I had no desire to wear it.  I also had no desire to sell it online myself.
I walked in and someone greeted me immediately.  I explained that I wanted to see what I could get for my necklace and she asked what I wanted.  It cost more than $1,400 and I said I would like $750.  She took it to her colleague who inspected it. After explaining that they pay 30%-70% of retail (since they will be selling it to someone else) they offered me $500.00. Since I no longer wanted it and did not want to deal with selling it myself, I took the $500.
The woman took me back to the office and had me fill out a reciept and I was given $500 in cash.
They made the entire situation as comfortable as possible and I would return again.  I was told that they buy anything of value, though they seem to have a large selection of jewelry.

This experience was terrible. I walked into this establishment and was greeted almost immediately by a lady in the back. When I told her my business, she escorted me to a back office and proceeded to check out the pieces of jewelry I had pulled out of my case. What she probably thought was constructive criticism about my jewelry was actually just criticism, and she made me feel like my jewelry was not only cheap and worthless but that I was wasting her time bringing it in. She also treated it with little care in the way she handled it and was unprofessional in her tone, almost as if she needed to speak down to me when I was asking how she came to a conclusion on certain prices or what made a gold piece of jewelry be priced as silver by her (for example). I'm even less apt to believe someone when they talk and act as if I should just trust them based on their "education" or vocation and aren't willing to explain things. Because of this treatment, I knew I couldn't trust her, regardless of her price. I was given her "verdict" on my price which was significantly less than I've received from another jewelry buyer recently. I was also told by the other jewelry buyer that the pieces I knew to be gold were, in fact, gold, and nothing else. In the end, I'm glad I walked out without accepting her "time-sensitive" offer, since I was giving up not just pieces of metal, but a piece of my past, and would rather be treated as if I were a first-class customer when having to do such a difficult thing.

I had no idea that the Art and Jewelry Exchange of Tysons had such a vast selection of beautiful high quality jewelry. The sales people were so friendly and knowledgeable, the value offered fabulous. I purchased an exquisitely designed ruby and diamond bracelet as well as a unique pearl and diamond necklace with matching bracelet and earrings. I will go back again and again.
