I had this at the bottom of my review, but it’s actually very important to note: Greg actually spent quite a bit of time when he was at my home complaining about a woman he is working for who he perceived as being particularly difficult. He repeatedly called her crazy and a princess and, while I found it offensive, I guess I thought he was just venting. That was my fault. I should really have said something. Well, my most recent text from Greg: “Don’t EVER contact me AGAIN C R A Z Y” is actually now showing an offensive and misogynistic pattern of behavior that should be avoided. The rest of my review is below. I’ve actually known Greg Kunstbeck since around 2013 when I bought my condo. He used to be a really nice guy. I have no idea what happened but this most recent experience with him (spanning several months because of mistakes) and his team was absolutely terrible. In terms of a work evaluation he seems great, casually looks around and promises you all of the things you’re asking for. Then he sends contractors, most of whom I’m sure are very capable, but they have not had any instruction from Greg as to the initial requests during the consult. This causes constant mismanagement of work and repetition of requests and instructions. And in the end, the work is still not complete. Like, for example, my new vanity legs are floating 1/3 of an inch above the floor. That seems unfinished. And a bathroom tub faucet should actually turn one way or another so that water comes out. I had Greg’s contractors leave my house having fixed my shower which would actually not turn on at all. The dial literally would not move. I did not raise a stink about that, no I did not. And that happened after they actually picked up the wrong vanity from Home Depot, which wound up costing me four hours on hold with the store, and another six weeks of waiting for a different vanity to be sent. I don’t even know how this mistake could possibly have been made. I ordered a full vanity with the cabinets and the top, they came to my house with just a vanity top. The numbers did not match, the color did not match, the size did not match. I did not make a stink about that either, no I did not. For that I received no acknowledgment of their fault, and of course no apology. I did not mention this to Greg at the time because, as I said, I have known him for a long time, and I liked him. Over the course of the last couple months, I have had to ask Greg to have someone return to repair work that was unfinished or simply did not work – like a faucet that would not turn on at all. I thought I had been quite fair and tolerant. Today was meant to be the final day that any return repairs were required. Because of construction on my street I sent Greg specific instructions about where to park. He did not seem to have listened to any of the instructions I sent, and told me that the electrician was at the door. They were not. He told me they called and got VM, they had not. Greg asked me to wait down outside in front of my building to let everyone in. I went down twice, I waited twice, no one was anywhere in sight, and they had not parked in the lot directly in front of my house, which is where they should have parked. So, I told Greg that I would wait upstairs. That somehow turned into him calling me crazy, telling me that I was too difficult and refusing to work with me ever again. I am at a loss for words here. But the man owes me money so I will pursue that by legal means if necessary. This really has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a contractor. I was tolerant because of what I considered to be a friendship but I think that there is absolutely no reliable work coming from nova contracting at this time. Stay away!

Excellent. Initially, we had R Walter Engineering review for the best approach. The pit was about 5 feet deep and 5 feet wide and had ground water in it. We then contacted Mr. G. Kunstbeck of Nova Contracting, Inc. in Vienna, VA. He reviewed the project along with Mr. Walter's recommendations. After signing the detailed contract, the work was completed as scheduled. Very pleased with NOVA Contracting, Inc, and plan to request their services on a future project.

NOVA failed to complete some work and did some work incorrectly. Failed to provide needed tools and supplies. NOVA had to borrow my tools, ladders and cleaning supplies. NOVA did not provide sufficient instructions to subcontractors. Left construction debris inside and outside of house. Left rotten wood under new siding, gaps around windows, uneven drywalling, footing holes not filled in, garage door unable to reverse on hitting obstruction. Generally an unprofessional job and not responsive to complaints.

I would absolutely use them again. In fact, If they're available for handyman services, I'd like them to get in touch. Thank you.

On the day work was to begin, the NOVA crew showed up “EARLY.” I was extremely impressed with their level of professionalism and courtesy upon arrival. Greg performed project management throughout and frequently came by to check progress and perform Quality Assurance.
They immediately began work and didn’t stop until the scheduled repairs were finished. Between wait time for patches/paint drying
etc. the crew began knocking out future scheduled projects which amounted to additional cost savings for me. These guys didn’t stop! They were literally looking around my house for things to fix.
Their quality of work was EXCELLENT!
“The NOVA Contracting crew was technically superior to all other contractors I've worked with and they're very serious about customer service. So long as NOVA Contracting is around I may never work on my own house again.”
