They never answer when you call and you have to leave a message. They take forever to get back to you. We had them come to clean our gas fireplace and repair it, it worked for about a month then it stopped working. We called and of course had to leave a message, then called a second time and their mailbox was full, called 2 more times and they have never called us back. So we are out $250 and our gas fireplace is not working. I do not recommend this company, they have very poor customer service and don't warranty their work if it doesn't stay fixed.

Contacted company via voice and text on Wed 8 Sept 2021 at 9:45am. Explained I preferred text since it is hard to talk on my phone at work. I did get a text response 5 days later on Monday 13 Sept at 10:22am saying they could come on a Mon, Thurs, or Fri to perform a sweep/inspection for a specific price. I responded with a text less than 1 hour later suggesting Monday 20 September with some details of the job: - I don't use the fireplaces and haven't in 20 years - I was looking for an exterior inspection with possible repairs b/c the last time the crowns were repaired was 20 years ago by this company (when we bought the house). I never received a text or call after my text response to them on the 13th and no one showed up on the 20th either. As a background, I chose this company b/c they did the inspection, caps, and crown repair on my home when I bought it 20 years ago. We never use the fireplaces and I just wanted an exterior inspection. No idea why the lack of response but I cannot recommend them.

Raul did a thorough and wonderful job servicing our gas logs and inspecting our chimney and the gas line leading into the home. He was methodical in his work and extremely conscientious about keeping the family room clean. He replaced the batteries and was very helpful in explaining what work should be performed on next year's cleaning. Raul knows his stuff and you owe it to yourself to utilize his expertise. Other companies could take lessons from Nicholas Chimney!

The technician, Elvis, was great! He knew how to assemble and disassemble our systems though they were different from their company’s manufacturer. Elvis was polite, professional, thorough, and clean. After checking every nook and cranny of each fireplace, he cleaned and replaced pieces (at no extra charge), and followed up with a gas leak check. We will be enjoying this cold weather knowing our fireplaces are safe. Definitely hiring them again in the future!

Very easy to reach and schedule an appointment. The technicians arrived a little early and did a very thorough job. They were very professional and courteous. I will definitely use them again.

The experience was very positive. he arrived when he said he would. He gave me a couple of scenarios that could have happened. He was able to relight and clean the fireplace for me.

The technician arrived on schedule. He quickly found the problem - batteries needed to be changed in the mechanism that communicates from the fireplace to the remote. I didn't even know about these batteries as they were concealed. Technician has put the mechanism in a place I can see it now. He cleaned and checked out the unit, checking for gas leaks. He did a clean job, putting a drop cloth in front of the fireplace to protect my carpet. Cost was about $20 more than some other companies I called, but I chose Nicholas because they offered the quickest appointment. I'm glad I did and would hire them again.

On balance the project went very well and pretty much as John at Nicholas Chimney told us it would. There were a few problems with coordination due to the difficulty reaching John. Based on research, I believe the price was fair.

The came, examined the situation, diagnosed a blockage and need for cleaning, and did all of the above with a complete explanation.

Great! Raul came and got to work. Protected the area in front of the fireplace and covered the vents. After he finished, he suggested some other maintenance work that could be done down the road but NOOO hard sell of their services. I loved this!

Raul arrived on time, explained what he was doing and why, is well trained and competent.
