Still waiting on title after almost 6 weeks. Made several calls with promises that the title will be ready soon. The receptionist will not connect me with a manager.

Koons is “A” straight down the line, they’re just unbelievable. They are why I bought my new car from them. They’re just honest, professional.

Arrived in the morning to drop off vehicle. One person is at the desk of 5 or 6 stations. He's on the phone talking to somebody from some parts warehouse. He's leaned back in his chair with one hand on the receiver and one hand on his knee, trying to look cool. He doesn't acknowledge me as a customer, but instead he gives me some corner eye glances to simply acknowledge my presence, because he's cool, right? I stand there for several minutes waiting for someone to help me. The manager comes in and asks if I've been helped. I say no. Then he just stares at the ground for a few seconds, says some stuff to the guy ignoring me and leaves. A few minutes later another service rep comes in and he seems pretty rushed. He's sweaty and handling a customer who follows him in the door. The customer seems patient and forgiving. She understands he's the only one who's actually doing something. The service rep puts some stuff in the computer while telling me he'll help me after this customer.
Finally he helps me. I get my rental car and I go to work. I come back that evening after my Jeep is ready. I go to the cashier who has my bill. It's about $195 for doing nothing but an oil change and a tire rotation... but that's not the point... I have the Mopar service plan and so my maintenance should have been $0. I point this out and the cashier calls the service rep. He comes over after a few minutes - the same sweaty rushed guy from the morning, but now he looks exhausted. He corrects the problem and reprints the bill for $0. I sign it and leave.
The last straw... I'm accustomed to this place always dripping oil around the fill hole, and predictably I see lots of it after I get home. Actually, it's more oil than usual. Under the fill hole are 2 spark plugs with the ignition coils directly connected. So there's lots of difficult places to poke into to remove oil with a paper towel. After several minutes of trying to remove as much oil as possible, I decide this is the last time I'll bring my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee to Koons for service again.

Auto Body Work
I had a fender bender that scratched the fender and quarter panel of my car. Koons Auto Body was one of the recommended providers of my insurance company. Dropped the car off on Monday morning, work was complete on Thursday afternoon. The initial inspection and estimate took less than half an hour. Quality of the work was great--looks like new.
The reason they get five stars is the office staff. When I picked up the car this morning, they had already done all the paperwork with my insurance company, but the deductible Koons was going to collect from me was higher than what I had been told by my insurance adjuster. I told this to the receptionist, Karen, and asked her to just print everything out for me so I could call the insurance company back and get a refund, but she insisted on calling them herself. 10 minute conversation, she got it sorted and I paid the lower deductible.
The other convenient thing about this location is that there's a rental car office right there.

Koons Tysons Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram are fairly priced. If you get a better quote from somebody else, they'll match the quote or even better it. They're extremely competent in what they do. I've never had an issue where the work has been done wrong. They've never dinged my car or anything. I've used only them for my repairs for the last 20 years. I have an engineering background, so I kind of know what they're doing. If they're doing something, they explain to me what they're doing and why. I usually want to know if something is necessary and why it is. They have never disappointed me.

They're very good about telling you what the cost will be ahead of time. I only take my jeep hear, and I'm very pleased. It's very good service. They call you afterwards when they're done, and it's like dropping your car off to the concierge at a hotel.

Dave was the salesman and he was excellent. It was the easiest car transaction ever. He was very helpful and he didn't harass me while I did some other shopping. Ultimately I went back to him to purchase a car.

This was a disastrous experience. The video player was replaced for $900, when it had been priced at $600 by our Saturn dealer before they went out of business. We asked Koons to fix a rubber seal that had come loose and was interfering with the power-operating sliding door, preventing it from closing fully and causing the open-door alarm to ding incessantly, even when the key was removed from the ignition. Koons replaced the wrong seal, requiring me to make a second trip so that their technician could glue the loose one to the vehicle frame. A week after the initial service visit, the power door malfunctioned again, possibly having worn out from the original loose seal. I took the van back to Koons (visit #3), and it was determined that a door latch would have to be special ordered, which I was required to pay for in advance. After the part came in, I brought the van back (visit #4), only to be told that the wrong part had been ordered, and Koons would have to order the correct part. On visit #5, the correct part was installed and the door finally repaired. I made the mistake of paying for the service over the phone by credit card so that my wife could pick up the van. When I got home, I saw that Koons had charged me for the second special-order part without having been credited for the first, and incorrect, special-order part. I made a 6th and final visit to Koons on a Saturday morning to obtain a credit for the incorrectly ordered part. In the weeks since the repair was finally completed, my wife has continued to receive repeated emails from Koons, informing her that her special-order part has come in, and that she should call to schedule a service appointment (!).

Initially, the salesmen were responsive to my request to factory order a car, but when I asked them to put the sales agreement in writing and sign it, they made excuses and then told me they did not want to do business with me because they thought I wouldn't be a satisfied customer and might give them a bad report on the GM customer satisfaction survey.

They handle Honda, Toyota and other brands, and their service is okay. They are nice and organized. My last visit was for an oil change. There is a light on the dashboard that helps me see at night, and it had burned out. I couldn’t see when I was shifting gears from neutral to reverse at night. It was dangerous not to have that fixed and they asked me to get it done soon. The light cost $65, and the total cost came to around $100. They have a check list - either a long one or a short one - of things that they do. It is all done on schedule. This last time I had a receptionist that wasn’t very friendly but it was the first time that that had happened since we’ve been here. They used to give us a loaner car but they don’t do that anymore. That is the only thing that has changed, which is too bad, but they’ll drop us off at a mall and come pick us up or something. My experience has been very good, and I would recommend them.

They did great. When you call for service, they are polite and quick to get you in. I love it. You drive up for your appointment and they come right away. They are very nice. For this visit they had a look at the car while I waited. Like the previous times, they gave me an estimate on how long it would take. I love this because you know what to expect. They have a waiting area with coffee and donuts and wireless. It's not big and fancy, but sufficient. I'd rather have this than having a big overhead costs driving up the price of service. They looked at the car and advised me about the cost of repairing the windshield wiper which required a new engine. I think it would have been $600. They said they wouldn't do it if was them. I agreed, so I just paid for the evaluation and said if chose to come back and have it fixed they would deduct that amount from my final bill. I appreciate their honesty and professionalism.

David Palumbo, Koons Service Manager is always polite and informative. He kept me informed of the status of the work, discussed options with me to help me make the best decision on repairs and made certain I knew when the work would be complete and my vehicle ready for pickup. Koons offered a senior citizen discount without my having to request it. I continue to take my two GM vehicles to Koons for service based on the courteous and professional treatment provided by David Palumbo and the Koons service staff.

They are exceptional people. The daughter took extra time to come out and welcome us. I'm a car freak, and she brought us some free gifts on top of being very helpful and knowledgeable. They don't give the tough sell. I enjoyed it. Instead of blasting you with things you don't understand anyway, they ask "What do you want to know?" You're not pressured to buy the car that night, but you can take your time and decide. That's rare.

They called back later to make sure that the job was done correctly and to see if I'd had any problems. I think that is so rare among car dealerships. A lot of 'parts departments' will just sell any part you ask for, and this company's 'parts department' makes sure you actually get what you need. They are exceptional people.
