My garage door opener stopped working. I called on Thursday to schedule an appointment and quickly had one for Friday morning. I am a first time garage owner - Clint came and quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. In about 30 minutes, my garage door opener was fixed, I learned more than I ever knew about my equipment and what to expect going forward, and we even looked at my remote openers and talked about different batteries to use. Very satisfied with the service and will be calling Eastern Door Service for all things garage door-related from now on.

Highly recommended. A technician (Clint) was able to come to the house within a few hours of our call. Handled our work quickly, provided safety information, discussed various products on the market for us to consider when the time comes to replace equipment. Made sure we understood what to do should door system fail. Highly-experienced and pleasant technician. Costs were reasonable. This is the sort of customer engagement every company should aspire to achieve. We will certainly use them for any future garage door work and encourage you to do the same.

I called the company 2 hours ago based on 2 neighbors recommendations. Fit me in same day. They just left and the door has been fixed. The pulley needed to be replaced. They didn't try to up-sell me to a new unit despite my opener being prehistoric. The gentleman came, diagnosed the problem; explained it to me; got to work; fixed and left. What more can you ask for?

They arrived promptly, diagnosed the issue and fixed it quickly. Also tightened up unrelated bolts and oiled various locations before he left.

Overall outstanding experience. We needed to replace our original wood & masonite garage door that was 25+ years old, and a maintenance burden due to moisture intrusion and rot. We selected a new Clopay insulated steel door. The owner Joe provided a highly competitive bid in a very timely manner. Our installer Enoch was highly professional, on time and extremely competent in removing the old door & installing the new door. He made all of the connections to our existing electric opener and successfully tested the new door for safe and reliable operation.

We called Eastern Door Services and they dispatched a technician to our house the same day. The technician provided a recommendation on the best replacement spring which we accepted. He ordered the new spring and returned the next business day to perform the required work. The technician was very professional and personable. We originally purchased the garage door from Eastern Door Services and that was also a great experience.

We had a great experience with Eastern Door in Vienna. The first company (Precision Door) just quoted a new high end opener. Eastern came out and said it was just the logic board and, for $300 less than a new opener, replaced it along with the switch and the technician even helped me with programming the Home link on the car.

Eastern was outstanding. Easy to make an appointment. Showed up right on time. Clint, the technician, was friendly, highly informative, and completed the work very efficiently. Highly recommend them.

The technician from Eastern Door arrived promptly and was professional, courteous, and he had expert knowledge with regard to our door installation. We were really impressed with his focus on customer service and the technician spent extra time reviewing the condition of our existing garage door openers and needed service. The price was very fair and we would most definitely call Eastern Door again for our Garage Door service needs.

Our garage door cable had snapped and the spring was yanked from the support. We called Eastern in the morning to schedule an appointment. They were able to send a service repair representative within 2 hours with no surcharge for immediate repair. The technician re-stabilized the spring, replaced the snapped cable and the other cable which showed signs of fraying. In addition he replaced both pully assemblies and lubricated the track and the door wheels. The door works better than it has in years. And the price was very reasonable.

The technician arrived right on time, completed the service in less than an hour.

I called and Eastern came out for service the same day. The repair was completed within an hour. Everything works perfectly, and the price was extremely reasonable. Enoch also gave us some good advice on what to look for as the doors age. Excellent service.

Thursday morning, went to open garage door and found out one of the torsion springs was broken. (The door opener can't lift the door with a broken spring, and you notice how much force the spring applies when you have to open the door yourself without the spring)! Found nearby A-rated Eastern Door on Angie's List.  Sent message to Eastern Door via their website to get a quote for price/timeline to repair.  Got call back in less than two hours...went to my voicemail while I was in a meeting.  Their message gave me a quote and a few schedule options for them to come out the next morning.  Sounded good, so I left voicemail back later in the day to arrange for appointment the next morning.  Eastern showed up as scheduled, replaced the springs (you really need to replace both), lubricated the door, and re-set the door travel.  Billed as quoted. Punctual, courteous, efficient, and delivered as stated.  Can't ask for more.

After calling Joe (at Eastern) and a short phone consult, he determined the problem w/ my garage door was a broken spring....and he was absolutely correct.   Enik was sent out, who was very professional and extremely knowledgeable!!  Having a double garage door, he highly recommended that I replace both springs, even though one was broken.  A great call and an industry standard.  The springs were replaced quickly and he did a quick garage door tune-up (tightening door hinges and the roller track).  He noticed the rollers were aging Steel ones and recommended replacing them w/ Nylon ones.  Again a great call...Very quiet and rollers only took an additional 12-minutes.



Overall....a great experience, scheduled within 1-day and at a fair/competitive price !!

I received estimates from four (4) companies for repair of a stripped main gear assembly and replacement of (what I perceived as) a weak & insufficient garage door torsion spring.
Eastern Door Service and I discussed the project online through Angie's List.  The owner (?) presented several options (with prices).  Eastern Door Service was not the cheapest of the four bids, but they were the most responsive and responsible bidder and their stated cost was the second lowest and only a little more than the lowest.  I awarded them the job and set up an appointment for the next day.
Clint showed up at the very beginning of the time window for the appointment.   We discussed the job: scope of work, confirmed the cost, estimated time of completion, and some technical details.  In addition to repair of the motor, I had been repaired to replace the garage door torsion spring.  Upon inspection, Clint told me that while the spring was a little weak, he did not believe that it had contributed to the stripping of the main gear assembly, which was much more likely due to age (material weakening due to age and environmental factors) and suggested that I did not really need to replace the spring (a $245 savings on the expected cost).  Clint also lubed the moving parts of the door itself, even though that was outside the scope of work, and explained how I easily could do that myself as preventative maintenance.
Overall, Clint was very informative, worked efficiently.  He could easily have simply done the original work requested but was very professional  and saved me $245!
I definitely recommend Eastern Door Service.
As an additional note, labor is warranted for 30 days and parts for one (1) year.
