I would like to thank Ali and the crew from Dulles Kitchen and Bath in Fairfax for the great job they did on my kitchen remodel. From the first day I met Ali until the kitchen was complete, he was always there for questions, concerns, answers or just to check in on the progress. In fact he checked in on us 2 weeks after it was done just to make sure everything was still to our satisfaction. The design they came up with was just what I was looking for and the project went smoothly without any issues up to the last bit of dust was swept up. Johan and his crew were always there on time, were professional in everything they did and asked our opinion and made suggestions for any questions we had as we went along. I was originally told to expect 4-6 weeks in construction time and they had the job completed at 3 ½ weeks with only painting left to do. It looks amazing and we are so happy with the results. I walked into Dulles Kitchen and Bath not knowing what to expect. I had no idea where to begin, what to ask for, afraid of seeming ignorant, and that all went away the minute I spoke to Ali. After I met with him I still interviewed other companies just to be sure and I did not get the same feeling I did with Ali, so I contacted him and my husband felt the same way. The quality and pricing was very competitive as well. My husband's work schedule is so busy that he was not able to play a role in the renovation. It was left all up to me. Ali, took me from A to Z in the selection of my cabinets, style, what features, upgrades, and where to place the appliances. His guidance and support was an immense help. The best part of working with Ali was that he continued to be of great service months after the cabinets were installed. Nothing was too small to ask of him. He may not want me to say this, but he was always so responsive that he even responded on his days off. It made the world of difference to work with someone like Ali when you've never renovated your home or have a general contractor.

We had great experiences working with Dulles Kitchen and Bath in the past and chose to work with them again when we moved recently. They have designed a total of 5 bathrooms and 2 kitchens for us, and we have been highly satisfied with all of our projects. We just had our kitchen and powder room remodeled by Dulles Kitchen and Bath and I highly recommend them. They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish and both our kitchen and powder room came out beautifully. All of the subs they work with are top notch and their work was truly impeccable. In addition, they completed everything in a timely fashion and the entire experience was fairly painless, as far as construction goes. The owner, Ali , is an honest businessman and was very nice to deal with and responsive to our needs. We also felt that their pricing was quite fair. We are thrilled with our beautiful new kitchen and bath.

Dulles Kitchen and Bath did two jobs for us from start to finish: Added a bedroom and bathroom to our roof; remodeled our kitchen and downstairs bathroom. From the beginning until the end, Johan and his crew were very easy to work with. They respected our bottom lines and gave feedback to our suggestions. Their communication style was clear and ongoing. They were great listeners. They gave their opinions only when asked for. They were always on time and kept the job site clean. The kept to their time frames. Their in house architect, he was smart, creative, and never condescending. I have recommended them to my friends and would not hesitate to use them in the future.

We hired Dulles Kitchen and Bath to remodel our kitchen. We met with them priced out many other remodeling companies in Virginia. They were able to meet our tight deadline of five months before our baby was born to complete a design, get a permit, and complete the remodel. Our project manager was awesome. We always felt that he had our best interest in mind and he was always quick to return my calls or messages. He is a true gem and ultimately made the experience an A plus for us!!! Also all of the Dulles Kitchen and Bath technicians that came to our house were on time, polite, and very hard workers!! You can tell that Dulles Kitchen and bath takes pride in hiring the best people in the business. We are 100% happy with the remodel and love our kitchen. I would use Dulles Kitchen and Bath again for any future!!!!

Johan and his team at Dulles Kitchen and Bath were simply superb. His team finished my basement, including building a partition wall, basement kitchen, installing hardwood flooring, some additional carpentry. Everything they did looks great. His estimate was also lower than the others with whom I inquired. I'm very pleased with the quality of the work. Further, Johan and his whole team had a great demeanor and it was a pleasure to work with them from estimate to finish. Importantly, he was very responsive to emails and texts. Johan and his team stuck to the timeline and made me feel very comfortable during the entire process. I definitely recommend Johan and will use him and his team in the future for my contracting plans.

They sent me renderings and options, they listened to our concerns and most importantly understood them, and worked with the best available job start day for us. When the job started the designer Nathan and project manager Johan who worked with us from the beginning showed up at the door with his crew. Johan did a great job during the construction time, he was a perfect bridge between us and their working crew. The craftsmanship of Rothnny and Valentin was superb and they informed me with every step what they had been doing, from plumbing to tiling to cabinet set up. That made me feel secure and gave me a sense of control over the whole process. Of course we had little problems and setbacks with the job which is reasonable but Johan would communicate with me to understand exactly what we wanted in the design; such as the load bearing wall, new front and rear doors, the hardwood floors, and new staircase. Johan took all suggestions so that Rothnny and Valentin could move quickly to get the job done. The result is fantastic! I have been writing this review sitting at the computer desk in my kitchen and I am so happy with the outcome. I don't know if small things make me happy but I know the details make the difference between good and perfect. This is exactly what I envisioned. If you read this far I hope it has been helpful for your decisions too, because as a Do IT Yourselfer this is the first time I've hired 'contractors' to improve our house. Johan help me get a customized vanity / sink combo that I couldn't find any where else (even on the web). The team there even help drill additional holes into the sink top. Johan was very easy to talk to over the phone and communicated promptly by email. I wish I actually set foot in the shop before picking up the vanity I ordered over the phone / email. The selection here is awesome and the prices beat alot of internet retailers as well. They stock both traditional and contemporary fixtures. (Grohe, Toto, hansgrohe - home depot doesn't stock these higher end fixtures) After they provided me the 3D draft, I was in love with the look. Somehow they were able to make the master bathroom way bigger than what it was before. They were so helpful with the product and color choice. We went with Cambria for our master bathroom and granite for girls bathroom. They were able the find the specific color we were looking. I am glad I chose Dulles Kitchen & Bath for my remodeling project! Thanks Dulles and thanks Johan!

Initial contact was with a designer who did the initial estimates and estimate.? He was not the one who actually did the day-to-day supervision.? This led to some confusion as he said one thing, but the designer that did the daily management said something different.? For example, the initial designer said we could layout tiles since we were concerned about the color variation in travertine stone; the daily manager seemed surprised that we had done so.? Also the initial designer recommended that we get 26% overage on tiles (again, because of the color variation) and that they would return the unused ones; the daily manager indicated that they do not usually do that (in the end he relented).? I took care of the demo which saved us quite a bit on the labor costs.? We had a two man team doing the work and they did a really good job and kept us informed about what was going on and any challenges that popped up.? We asked them to replace two tiles that had already been placed because they were out of sequence with what we had originally laid out and they did so.? We had a big issue with the threshold; it's color was significantly different than the rest of the tiles so it needed to be replaced.? As we were trying to find one with a color that would work we realized that there was a bigger issue than just the color.? We were going to have hardwood laid in the hallway outside that bathroom and did not need the stone threshold after all.? We had told both designers about this and neither picked up on the impact that it would have on selection of a threshold.? The worker who laid the tile had cut them to fit the stone threshold and this would have resulted in the hardwood actually running all the way through the doorway.? We had them replace those tiles with new ones cut to match the future hardwood installation.? What was interesting was that the worker said that this made perfect sense since we were laying hardwood.? The project took significantly less time than the initial designer had said (three days instead of ten).? All in all we ended up with a good job and the team was responsive to changes we asked for.? The confusion between the two designers could have been eliminated by having both of them meet with us prior to day one to ensure a smooth hand-off between them.

I’d like to begin with telling you all that I am a very busy woman, as I own a business, which keeps me up on my feet all the time. I often have to travel to different states for business purposes, and it doesn’t leave me enough time to take care of maintenance issues in my home. The neighborhood I live in had some pipeline issues a few weeks back which caused leakage and literally ruined my bathrooms. I knew that it was necessary to get the bathrooms remodeled, but needed a company that could do the job in the least possible time. My secretary recommended me Dulles Kitchen and Bath and told me that I should contact Ali who is a project manager and designer. I called him and he came to my home just after two hours. I was surprised to see him come on such a short notice. He went through all my bathrooms and we sat down to discuss the plan of action. I specifically pointed out that I want the job to be done in the least possible time, and he told me that he would do everything to complete the remodeling task as soon as possible. The next day, my house was crawling with people, with Ali supervising them. I thought that my house would be a mess after they were done with remodeling the bathrooms. But not only did they complete the job well before the deadline mentioned in the contract, they also left my house just the way it was before the remodeling project started, i.e. spotlessly clean. I am on a flight to Miami, and got the time to share my experience with Dulles Kitchen and Bath here. I would like to thank Ali and his team for doing a splendid job with my bathrooms.

I worked with Dulles Kitchen and Bath while ago for my kitchen remodeling project and I was amazed with the result that’s why when I decided to renew my master bathroom I didn’t want to deal with bathroom shopping to get the best price out there my ultimate thought was working with them again. Ali came to my house to measure the bathroom and invite me to their showroom for the tile, fixture, vanity and tub selection, once I got there we went through every single details to be honest, he was really patient with me. They started the project a week later which was surprisingly quick. They had all the materials once they started with the demo and everything was done less than 2 weeks. That pleased me a lot. I am working three days from home and I really didn’t want to have such a mess in my house but they kept their construction side very isolated with plastic curtains and cleaned up every day when they were leaving my house. I knew they were very professional at their job but I didn’t really expect such a job would be done less than two weeks without any problem. Long story short I already told them they can use me as reference for their future clients, I would be happy to help people who are seeking for a decent job with a fair price. The new Silestone, Pulsar color countertop with backsplash looks fantastic!! You can barely see the one seam in the counter. We worked with Johan who did a great job explaining options and working with us. We had a few issues to work through since we were keeping the existing kitchen cabinets, and were separately getting a new gas cooktop. We did purchase and have installed the Brita sink & faucet which was offered through Dulles Kitchen and bath. Johan was very professional and responsive in working through any small or bigger issues. Here is our example of his responsiveness-- After about 3 weeks the Brita faucet started leaking significantly around the handle and into the under sink cabinetry., and we needed to turn off our water. We realized the Brita warranty pamphlet had no contact info at all, and the Brita website gave no warranty information about faucets at all. Therefore we called Johan. The same day as our call-in Johan had the plumber from Brita out to replace the faucet. Unfortunately, the 2nd Brita started leaking under the sink within a few hours. Apparently Brita faucets are manufactured in China and there has recently been a big increase in this leaky faucet replacement like ours. After that, I talked to Johan and same day at our request he purchased and had installed a new Moen Arbor faucet, which works great so far and has extensive warranty provisions, all stated clearly on Moen's website, with contact information. Moen also has excellent customer reviews. I would not recommend purchasing a Brita faucet. And the Brita 18 gauge sink is ok so far, looks very nice but based on the Brita company care instructions does not appear to be as durable as we would like. For example the Britasink.com website care instructions for the sink among other things says, "Always keep the sink clean, dry and exposed to room atmosphere when not in use. Keep the sink free of standing water...." Really, seriously? This is a kitchen sink- who keeps it dry? So the bottom line as buyers, we did not do enough advance homework ourselves to review various faucet and sinks. We will definitely keep Dulles Kitchen and Bath in mind when we remodel our master bath in the near future.

This is an update to a prior review. After my initial bad review they were finally able to contact me. Still not sure why they weren't able to before. Did finally get my 3D layouts, but I thought I'd get a floor plan layout too. Was not able to open the layouts at first because of the format they sent them in. The ideas are okay, but was hoping for a little more information. Guess you get what you pay for.

Dulles Kitchen and Bath provided a quality product at a reasonable price in a timely manner. Ali was an excellent sales representative and project manager. He understood our needs and was very cooperative and responsive throughout the process. He was very helpful and efficient in selecting materials and fixtures and making suggestions for project improvements. The construction in both rooms was substantially complete in two weeks and several performance issues were promptly handled in a fair and professional manner. The project was well planned, materials and fixtures were delivered in a timely manner, daily cleanup was performed, regular inspection visits occurred, and our input was sought on several issues during construction. Dulles Kitchen and Bath is an excellent company and we would hire them again.

Johan was our designer and completely understood our project and we discussed differed options. Johan promptly sent me the proposal and my wife and I came to the showroom to discuss the project further. We made some changes and then finalized the details. Unfortunately our kitchen sink pipe broke off in the wall and we were 3 weeks from the start of the remodel. Johan was able to get his crew to start the job 2 weeks early. Nelson and his crew, Franco and Hector, were great. They always showed up on time too. Any issue that arose during the project they handled at no extra cost. They ensured we were happy with the recessed lighting layout as the project progressed. Although not completely finished we were able to use our kitchen in 2-3 weeks which was great. We cannot be happier with the finished project and it was 100% on time. Our kitchen looks beautiful and much larger. DKB was so easy to work with. Our price was more because of the materials selected and the desired manufacturer. The great thing is the price is all inclusive and there was no additional charges for any add-ons or incidentals. And not only did they fix my main sink line but they routed almost completely straight and easy to fix if there is ever an issue in the future. We cannot happier with DKB as a whole. We are looking forward to using them in the future to remodel our bathrooms.

Johan was the project manager. He was excellent. He worked with us on the design, selecting materials, provided great suggestions and maintained discipline on the pricing. Nelson was the crew leader. There was not a challenge presented that he did not handle in a professional manner and the results were outstanding. His crew was on time every day. The project was completed 3 days after the estimated time and that was after discovering an air return running inside one of the walls that we were removing. Nelson worked with that element as well as a vent pipe that was in another wall found an accommodation and made it work. The tile work was excellent. They painted everything quickly and well. Electrical work was done with a minimum of disruption. We did all this work in 5 weeks and lived in the house during the project. They did everything one can expect to keep down the dust. They kept 2 of the 3 bathrooms operational throughout the process and every evening they had tools picked up, the area cleaned up and vacuumed. We could not have been happier with the quality of the finished product and with Johan and Nelson and his team.

It went very smoothly. ?We had two or three consultation visits up front to be sure we had the right plan which would satisfy our needs with the new design/space and work within our budget-- and it certainly has fulfilled our vision. ?We had a bathroom in mind which is not ornate but simple and elegant while using the space more efficiently. ?This new design entailed cutting back two walls, relocating plumbing and electrical and tearing out our old tile (and the layer of concrete found underneath). ?A lot of work. ?The quality of the materials--tile, cabinets, countertops and fixtures is excellent and the tiling of the shower just gorgeous. ?This was a very well planned and executed job. ?The workmanship is excellent, and evident in every detail. ?The professionals from Dulles who coordinated this job and who actually did the installation, carpentry, tiling and painting were an absolute pleasure to work with and very polite, quiet, neat and conscientious, disturbing the household as little as possible while consulting us on details and preferences (and making suggestions as well) along the way to make sure we would be happy with the results and we certainly are.

My experience was not good. They came in with not much information. They said they were going to follow-up, but we never heard back from them. We told them we were going on vacation soon and to give us a call after a certain amount of time, and I never heard from them. I did not try to call them back because I did not have time. I am on a special project at work and I just did not have the time to do it. I kept waiting for them to call me and we got busy and we went out of town again for another vacation. I was not looking for them to do the work. I was looking for them to plan out the space. He started talking about picking out floors and walls. I just thought I was just kind of misled in terms of what he was offering in terms of the Big Deal because it was just supposed to be a floor plan and an estimate. I paid $49 for a kitchen or bathroom design consultation with 3D rendering. I did not receive that at all. Well, they showed up promptly and they showed up when they said they were going to. The way he talked, I just thought it was kind of bait-and-switch situation. I have had people here before because we have been looking into redoing this bathroom and I have called people and they came out. You think you are going to have one type of experience and they come out thinking they are going to sell you all of their products. I did not ask for that. I asked for a design.

Dulles did a fantastic job. Our kitchen is beautiful, exactly how we wanted it to look. The owner Johan and project manager Ali were outstanding -- very responsive, pleasant to work with, and accommodating. We interviewed at least five companies in Northern Virginia and felt most comfortable with Johan. The pricing was very reasonable (but not so low that we were concerned about quality), and it was so easy to work with Dulles. Johan always responded to our questions quickly and spend a lot of time with us on choosing materials and finishes (we were not the easiest customers). They work with a huge selection of cabinet and tile suppliers. The construction work is of very high quality -- everything went just about exactly as planned. When a minor issue arose with construction (as it always does), Dulles knew exactly what to do to solve the problem efficiently. Dulles uses a couple of different specialty subcontractors, who were all outstanding. They were prompt, professional, friendly, and knew what they were doing. We had some very challenging aspects including a backsplash with custom tiles that came out beautifully. They were also very careful to protect the other floors/furniture near the kitchen as they were doing the construction. At the end of the job, we reviewed everything in great detail to create "punchlist" of minor items requiring adjustments, and Dulles immediately addressed every item until the Project was flawless. They are also extremely efficient -- they finished a very large kitchen remodel in under 4 weeks working long days and Saturdays to do so and did a great job coordinating the various trade works. We are very happy about our experience with Dulles. I have already recommended Dulles to a co-worker who will be using Dulles for a kitchen project, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the future. I had 6 or 7 estimates for this remodeling job. I found that DKB, while not the cheapest, seemed to be the company that I could easily work with. Ali was very responsive to my questions and concerns throughout the project. There were some unforeseen problems, which inevitably occur during any remodeling, but he and Alex handled them professionally and promptly. I am very happy with the work that they did and would definitely hire them again.

I ran across Dulles Kitchen and Bath when I took a trip to the Home Depot in Fairfax circle. I was looking for an immediate solution for my leaking shower problem, which could have ruined my bathroom and other areas if not quickly fixed. The first thing that came to mind was to go to Home Depot. I loathe Home Depot but drove there anyway. I saw the sign for Dulles Kitchen and Bath right across the street, so I decided to walk in, perhaps to delay going to Home Depot, but in hopes that maybe they could help. I walked in the store and saw a lot of nice models for kitchens and bathrooms. I liked looking at the variety of the designs, they had classic and modern styles and various stones. After a couple of minutes looking around the store I met a designer named Ali. I told him about the problem and showed him pictures and explained I didn't really know if they handled these types of issues but that I saw the sign and decided to walk in. He was super nice and approached the problem very delicately- he explained why and how shower pans leak every few years. He said its normal and described how they usually solve this type of leak. He said he'd be happy to assess it the next day in person free of charge. To be honest, it was such a relief compared to what I thought I was going to have to deal with. Everything was really simple and relaxed and straightforward. I left happier and less worried. The next day Ali came to my place for the measurements. After the inspection and all the measurements he assured me that they could immediately fix the problem with the shower. He also offered to renovate the whole master bathroom as an option. I told him that I'd be open to the idea if I had more details. He didn't pressure me on anything which I liked. I agreed because I was curious to see what they offered. The next day he sent me the proposals for just the leak and the renovation. Weighing the costs and benefits I decided to go with the whole renovation because the price was good and I wanted to update it anyway and I was already going to have to deal with coordinating with workers in my house. I asked him how soon this could happen and he told me his crew could begin the project the next week. So I agreed. The crew showed up the following week as promised. They covered their area and the stairs from the door to the bathroom which was so nice because I didn't have to deal with cleaning the mess of demolition. I work 9am-5pm but when I came home I never felt like my house was under construction during the renovation which took almost 2 weeks. The project manager came many times during the construction time, even when it was after hours for him, to talk to me in person and address any concerns I had. I really appreciated that. I am really pleased with the result. I don't have a leak problem anymore and I have a sleek looking bathroom with new vanity faucets, a mirror and lights. I especially love my frameless glass door, it is very chic and still impressing me! :) Thank you Dulles Kitchen & Bath, you guys saved me a lot of headache and have gone above and beyond my expectations. This turned from an annoying problem to a total upgrade. Thank you again!
