The owner was quick to get back to me and schedule a visit for the estimate. I was impressed with his knowledge and expertise in repairing my swirled plaster ceiling. His estimate was very reasonable so I scheduled the work. We had one delay caused by a necessary shower repair to prevent more ceiling damage so had to reschedule. The work was completed and I am very happy with the results. The owner is prompt, pleasant and more than willing to give advice on how to do some repairs yourself to save money. I would certainly use him again.

David Patterson did a fantastic job - everything was completed on time and on budget. David is extremely thorough and takes the time to explain exactly what is needed and why. He did work for us a couple of years prior -- repairing a wall crack and my son's bedroom ceiling -- and we have been very pleased with that as well. In fact, when he first came to look at our son's ceiling, he was so concerned that he came back the next day (a Sunday) to buttress the ceiling until he could come back to start the job. We can't recommend him highly enough.

I can't say enough good things about this company! Mr. Patterson took a careful look at the job and gave me an estimate, in writing, within a day's time. He laid out a schedule for the work and showed up promptly every day. He took great pains to protect my property, covering everything (even the walls!) with plastic sheeting. When he sanded, he briefly turned off my furnace and the system's fan, to avoid getting dust in other areas of the house. He was courteous and professional at all times and his work was excellent. My ceiling is smooth as glass, even under a bright light! I couldn't be more pleased.
I have spent almost four months making repairs to my home from the water damage and also having some previously scheduled work done. I've had a dozen workers in and out of the house. D. S. Patterson came, did the job, and left without damaging something else. Unfortunately, in my experience now and during renovations over the past ten years, this is the exception, rather than the rule. I feel very fortunate to have found him to restore my ceiling. I would absolutely recommend him for any drywall or plaster job. My confidence in this company is such that, if I need future repairs or do more remodeling, I would hire them for other types of work, too.

I highly recommend David Patterson for all drywall, plastering, custom designs, tile repair, and painting.
Patterson has worked for me twice now. The first time I called 3 companies for estimates for a ceiling repair and textured swirl design. Patterson was the only person who actually explained the entire scope of the project; how he would repair the ceiling; how he would duplicate the texture with swirl design and the paint to match the rest of the ceiling. When he finished, everything was just perfect and exactly the way I had expected after listening to his detailed explanation. In addition, his cost for the job was the most reasonable quoted.
So the second time I had a drywall issue, there was absolutely no question who I would call. Again, Patterson explained the entire scope of the project, which turned out to more than either of us expected, and in his true professional manner, he followed the project right through to completion with perfect results again. He even saved a ceramic tile baseboard when he removed the drywall and later reattached it to the new drywall.
Not only is the high quality of his work meticulous with excellent results, he is punctual; his prices are more than reasonable; he treats my house like his own and it is just as clean when he leaves as it was when he arrived.
An added plus, is the timely direct communication with his office. All questions are promptly answered, comments and suggestions carefully considered and addressed to complete satisfaction.
Due to my experience with Patterson, my neighbors have also called him for their drywall and plaster repairs and been extremely pleased with the final product.

Mr. Patterson repaired numerous plaster cracks in three rooms of our prewar, Arlington house. We?ve been here a long time, so one concern was finding someone who could do quality work while working around a lifetime of accumulated possessions. Mr. Patterson inspected the plaster and determined that durable repairs were possible. He gave us a contract describing the work. He explained what we needed to move so he could do his work. He arrived on time and completed the job in three days. We understand that some cracks could recur because of the age of our house, but feel confident that Mr. Patterson gave us a high probability of a lasting fix. We think price and quality work make D.S. Patterson Company an outstanding value.

Turned out to be a tricky repair, as the new plumbing protruded out a few millimeters. The repairman was quite experienced and skilled, and performed this work over a required 2 visits. You can't even tell where the repair was made now! This guy is by the book, has all the credentials, insurance, and know-how.
This repair was actually the 2nd time I used them, and was also quite happy with their first repair last year by another tradesman.

When we replaced our shower the plumber needed to cut a large hole into a corner of our closet. The drywall repair company recommended by the plumber never responded, so we looked up alternatives on Angie's List. D S Patterson not only called us right back, but came by that day to assess the damage. Over the next two days Dave Patterson himself installed a new backing frame (the plumber had to remove a stud), new drywall, and plastered, taped and finished the job so smoothly that we are in no hurry to paint it. Service was quick, efficient, and very friendly both over the phone and in person. One of the other companies we called had a minimum that would have more than doubled the cost. We would definitely call D S Patterson for any future drywall or plaster work.

Hugo at D.S. Patterson was great. He came on time, took a look and said it wouldn't be a problem, we got a price we really liked and got the work done the next week or so and it was finished in 2 days. Drying time really is the only thing that kept it from being done in 1 day. 100% satisfied with this guys and will definitely use them again.

John from D.S. Patterson was amazing. My wife and I are looking for excuses to bring him back into our home for drywall work all the time. The work that he did was top notch. My brother and I thought we knew how to properly finish the drywall (mudding and taping) in a large media room. Our end result was less than acceptable. John came in, was blunt in telling us it would have been cheaper to have him mud and tape the whole room rather than have him fix it after a botched attempt. We paid the price and have never looked back. The job John did was detailed and thorough and completely promptly.

Incredible artistry! Dave is a master and does all of the work himself. His walls are the centerpiece of my newly refurbished living room/dining room. Very careful, very methodical, very precise. Protected all floors with a full treatment of thick paper which we kept down until the painting contractor finished. If you want an outstanding product, go with Dave.
