Judy couldn't give us an answer about anything, because everything is controlled from their corporate headquarters in Texas. Our primary problem was that we had just come back from a two year overseas posting with the State Dept. and hadn't paid rent in that time--this turned out to be a major issue (although it wasn't for the company we ended up using, First Savings). This can't have been the first time that this problem came up in the DC area, but Judy was flummoxed. Her instinct was to raise problems first and only attempt to get solutions later. The ''renting requirement'' was finally waived, but we didn't have confidence in the company (which incidentally handles our banking as well), and they didn't even have particularly attractive interest rates.
