I am a shop at home business. I have been in business since 1987 and handle Hunter Douglas products exclusively. My installer has been with me for 35 years. I have an extremely good eye for color and design and can make a complicated job easy and stress free. WE DO NOT DO REPAIRS UNLESS YOU BOUGHT THE BLINDS FROM Blinds For Less. We are very happy with the Hunter Douglas shades that we ordered from Blinds for Less. Ellen came to our house the day after I called her. We were looking for roller shades for our screened in porch (where we get lots of blinding sun in the late afternoon/early evening). She brought samples and measured the next day. We placed the order with her that day. The shades were ordered and they were installed in less than a month. We are very happy with the shades and the service we received. I would definitely order from Blinds for Less again! Thank you!

Ellen helped me select beautiful roller shades for my windows that were not only exceptional quality but also worked with my budget. She was patient and offered different options to consider. She used her expertise to guide me in terms of specific fabric selection and the results were better than I could have anticipated. The shades are beautiful and I cannot stop looking at them! Importantly, she and her installer, Jeff, take measurement very seriously and I am so thankful that I chose them because the results are superb. The shades fit perfectly and Jeff did a truly outstanding job mounting the shades. I know some people think this is something they can DIY but when I look at the results, I can only think thank goodness I did not try to do this myself. The amazing outcome was well worth every penny.

This firm should be avoided. I ordered some blinds and paid a deposit but the blinds were never provided. Her installer repeatedly missed appointments and did not respond to a request for another. It is not a professional firm and it is not a reliable firm. Am pursuing with Visa and with the Better Business Bureau.

"This client called me to his house to give a 2nd option/solution for a shade for a sliding glass door. He liked my suggestion and I proceeded to order the shade, have it installed and he was quite satisfied with what we did. As a result he called me back to do one more window. We agreed on a blind. My installer had an appointment to do the installation and sadly he had issues with his truck that prohibited the installation to take place. My installer said he could perhaps install another time. This was not a definite appointment. There was a miscommunication. The customer thought this was a definite appointment and the installer said a hopeful. A definite time was not decided upon. As a result things went downhill. This was an unfortunate misunderstanding. The customer was not satisfied. I refunded his deposit. Sometimes there are mishaps and this is one of them. I have been in business for over 30 years and fortunately all has gone very well. I am very sorry this happened as I truly like to satisfy every client regardless of how small or large the order can be. I look forward to helping all "Angie" people. Ellen was very profesional, and punctual. She showed us all the available options suitable for what we needed. She didn’t try to up-sell anything and her recommendations were honest and on-point. no response yet I called several more times,called again and still no luck - late 2018 I hired some one to look at the blinds. They showed me where the attachments from the blinds to the support were bent, this the dropping of the blinds, dragging the floor, and making it difficult to open/close the curtains. They repaired the bent attachments and I paid them. Thus the reason for my final low rating for BLINDS FOR LESS. 1501

It went great, which is usually the case when dealing with Ellen. Full disclosure, she has done the majority of the blinds in my home. She has a great designer eye, and always selects the blind the works well with my windows. She is responsive to her emails (usually within 24 hours), and makes the time to ensure that her customer is happy. I highly recommend Ellen and Blinds for Less.

Ellen came to our house and made the measurements to start with. She also brought along her samples and went over what we were interested in, and then provided her recommendations. She has an eye for design, so with her you are getting more of an aesthetic evaluation than just a provision of x-feet of drapes in whatever color you pick out. We found it to be valuable to have her experience and style to guide out decision-making.

We recently purchased our first home. Like many new homeowners, we were nervous about the many choices we would have to make to keep the home we fell in love with -- the home of our dreams. One of our biggest first decisions as home owners was choosing blinds! Especially so since we had purchased a home without window treatments of any kind!
We began our search for blinds at one of those brand name companies. We weren't all that impressed with their product, and would have had to pay more for the brand we did prefer. We then began calling several local retailers, garnering several estimates. At the time, we were leaning towards plantation shutters. But as a first time home owner about to make a significant purchase, I really wanted some help regarding style, practicality and functionality.
Ellen Goodman was able to fit that bill beautifully. Not only did she have the best prices around, but she took the time to measure every window, offer her suggestions on the space, return to our house to do more measurements, and just really make sure we would have a product that we were happy with. She listened to what we wanted, what we were concerned about, and even went room-by-room, offering suggestions. For example, an office would have blackout shades, a guest room would have standard cords for ease of use, and a sun room would have a top-down bottom-up honeycomb to allow for maximum light and privacy. In addition, it took less than three weeks to receive and have our blinds installed. Her installer, Gary, was fabulous, completing the entire job in under three hours, and making sure to show both me and my husband how everything worked. Everything looks stunning. But more importantly, it is practical for our space.
We couldn't be happier with the product and service that Ellen Goodman provided. We would highly recommend her to those seeking a consummate professional, who cares deeply about the product she provides, and the people receiving it.

I left a message for Ellen through the website, if I remember correctly. She was in touch and set up an appointment. We met shortly thereafter and she showed me several options for blinds. I think I chose the cheapest option, which were Hunter Douglas blinds, though I don't think they're cheap in quality in anyway and look very nice through the window. I went with her immediately, I did not consider any other vendor as my house did not have any window treatments and I needed some installed immediately. I paid a deposit for half the amount. They were installed a little over a month later as the installer was not available. The installer was good, I think his name was Gary, came on time and was done in about an hour, answered all of the questions I had. This was probably the easiest time I've had hiring a contractor and getting work done. Pretty painless. I would hire again and will probably do so in the future as I have more windows to put blinds on.

I had purchased a "deal" and had a general idea of what I wanted. Ellen Goodman is extremely knowledgeable and able to make decision making process an ease. The installation of everything took less than a 1/2 hour and the tech explained how everything worked. I highly recommend Blinds for Less and will definitely be using them again in the future,
