Overall, a very unsatisfactory product and service.
Description of Work: My son sent me flowers on two separate occasions , Mother's Day and for my birthday and both times there was a mix up in delivering the flowers. They had to be resubmitted for delivery. The first bouquet arrived looking as though it had been used as a weapon in a fight, just awful. and the second looked as though they had been around the warehouse or on the truck too long. Now I did not purchase these flowers but I was the recipient and I can vouch for the shoddy quality.

The ordering experience was simple and quick, and I received e-mail confirmation of my order. My stepmother received the bouquet from ProFlowers, delivered by UPS, on Friday morning. She called me that evening to let me know that the flowers were in extremely poor condition: many were browning; some were dead; some were just stems; etc. I saw the remains when we visited just a short time later, and was very upset. I contacted Shari's Berries by e-mail and did receive a quick response. They were apologetic, credited the full amount of the purchase to my credit card, and then delivered the dipped strawberries on Saturday, at no charge. My stepmother reported that the berries were quite good. I did receive restitution for ProFlowers' poor service, but through the agency that was working with them, so I was satisfied, but I will never use ProFlowers again, and will warn others.
Description of Work: I placed an online order through Shari's Berries for a package deal, for Mother's Day. My stepmother was to receive a bouquet of flowers, from ProFlowers, on Friday, and then an order of chocolate dipped strawberries from Shari's Berries on Saturday.

On July 10, 2011 I ordered a very beautiful, unique arrangement for my daughter's birthday the following day. The arrangement was available through ProFlowers' FloralExpress and was to be completed and delivered by a local florist. What went wrong: First, I never received any confirmation email from FloralExpress, ProFlowers, or the local florist. Secondly, she received the gift on Tuesday July 12 rather then on the 11th. It turns out that the florist and their reps called her cell phone 5 times on Tuesday to confirm her address...I was never contacted. Third, and worst of all, the arrangement that I ordered was called Pure Perfection "Our Pure Perfection arrangement is a memorable piece of floral design that will make a lasting impression. Green orchids, green roses, Bells of Ireland, hypericum and monstera leaves are carefully arranged by floral artisans in a 9" Ikebana Oval Planter and accented with a colorful caterpillar", what she received was a purple and pink bouquet. I tried to copy pictures here but for some reason I am unable to. I was so excited for her to receive the gift even though neither one of us is crazy about floral bouquets and usually order live plants instead, however it was so beautiful I knew she would love it! Because I was so excited I kept bugging her to send me a picture of it and couldn't figure out why she was being so evasive about it. Finally she told me that the difference between what I had ordered (I sent her a picture) and what she received was so great that she didn't want to tell me because she knew that I'd be disappointed! To add insult to injury as soon as I found out I emailed ProFlowers, and their response? A $10 gift certificate for a future purchase!!! WOW....really??!! I was furious. I called them. They finally agreed to refund me $11.00 on a $65.00 purchase. They would not even replace it with the correct item. They said that the florist (whom I will feature on here as soon as I have the name) never even contacted them with any issues regarding the order.
Description of Work: An order was placed through the ProFlowers website. The order was a floral arrangement for my daughter's birthday.

Badly for one customer not our fault, it was pro flowers and lack of money and description of order.
Description of Work: People need to realize this is not a floral business, this is a wire service only ....they suck you in to thinking they are the floral shop. NO they are not ....they take your money ....in a misleading way as to prices of items, then they find a local florist to fill this order, local florist may or may not have the items to fill the order accordingly..but no matter Pro flowers says go ahead...by the time local florist receive these orders what you have paid is only a fraction of what is given to the local florist, they have no idea what you have originally spent to begin with....saying substitution is fine....locally it's filled , but then the person who placed the order is completely unhappy, unbenounced to local florist....that was to small not the right color or not the right flowers...please people go online, find a local florist in that town, order, direct talk to the local florist themselves know what your getting and what you're paying for..don't go through these Pro flowers and such they will rip you off.

When I ordered the Purple Petals arrangement, I was expecting to get beautiful sunflowers (big ones with dark centers and yellow petals) as well a ton of purple flowers - hence the name, PURPLE petals. When the UPS driver FINALLY delivered them after being on a truck all day in 94 degree heat, most of the flowers were either dead or near death -- and the bouquet was absolutely NOTHING like the picture nor description on the internet. (Please bear in mind, that while it is UPS's fault that the FLOWER DELIVERY which was clearly marked on the box, was not delivered until 7PM after spending the whole day on a hot truck, ProFlowers could have been more proactive to make sure their deliveries are delivered in a timely fashion.) When I called customer service, all I got was the pat answer of "well, the bouquets are not always as represented." Orange Sunflowers and barely NO PURPLE flowers at all are not as represented, they were not even in the same country as the description on the internet. While they refunded my money, they claimed they are going to send another bouquet to show that they don't mess up all the time. However, I will never buy from them again -- as when I also ordered tulips for my mother on Mother's Day, the tulips were horrendous and they gave me a "credit" for that atrocious arrangement. I also asked for that store credit to be voided and another credit card refund be issued. The customer service people were unbelievable and I even spoke to a woman in the customer service managerial division and she was absolutely no help nor did she really care about the quality of flowers sent. Do not order from them. You are much better off just calling a local florist in whatever area you are sending flowers and just having them do it. At least, then you get what pay for and want.

I found Pro-flowers to be very professional and reliable. The best part was when I came over to my girlfriends house after delivery and I was able to see in real life what I had paid for online. I was impressed, but MOST IMPORTANT my girlfriend was happy and even more impressed than I was.It was beautiful, perfect, lovely and on time.I couldn't ask for more from a florist!
Description of Work: In the summer of 2009 I ordered Roses and chocolate for my girlfriend. The product was delivered on time and in perfect condition! My girlfriend was happy and felt special and she loved it! Pro-Flowers got it right,on time with no mistakes and left me a very happy customer!

I placed an order on the proflowers.com website for flowers to be delivered to my mother on May 6, as her Mother's Day gift. Despite email confirmation of the order and full payment, the flowers were not delivered on time, by Mother's Day, or ever. Attempts to remedy the problem via telephone calls to representatives from the company's customer service department, including a supervisor, were unsuccessful. The response of the represerntatives, as well as the company overall, was unhelpful and unacceptable. As a result of this fiasco, Mother's Day came and went without receipt of the ordered gift. The company did agree to refund my money, which they did do several days later. They also agreed to provide a letter of explanation and apology, which did not occur. To add insult to injury, on May 10, two days following Mother's Day, I received a message from the company that the flowers had been delivered, which was not correct. I will not do business with this company again.

when we found out the flowers had been improperly delivered, we called and had our account credited by proflowers.
Description of Work: We ordered a orchid for mother's day to be delivered to my mom outside of philadelphia, pa. however, the flowers were delivered to someone else, at a location, about 50 miles away, even though proflowers had the right address including zip code. Now she does NOT get a delivery by mother's day. even if the company were to pick up the orchid and redeliver, the plant would not arrive before tuesday AFTER mothers day. this is unacceptable.

We received an email the following day indicating they would issue a refund immediately and that we should expect the funds to be returned to our credit card account within 3 days. After 7 days we contacted Proflowers again about the missing refund. All we got was another email that said EXACTLY the same thing as the earlier promise for a refund. So far these guys have YET to get anything right.
Description of Work: This service is heavily touted on TV as well as a web presence. I ordered a Valentine gift of flowers and candy for my wife. By 7 p.m. on Valentine's day we contacted the company to inquire about delivery. They were unable to contact the local firm hired to deliver our gift, so we canceled our order both verbally and in writing to their web site. This firm touts its 100% Satisfaction Guaranty, but don't count on it.

The the ad that got my attention was: For only $29.99 you can buy a dozen red roses and we will include a free ruby red vase.. ... what they don't tell you is the extra fees they charge for delivery. That shows up only when you finalize the order.. Standard Delivery Fee-$9.99; Morning Delivery Fee-$14.99; Care and Handling-$2.99.....so you end up paying almost as much for the delivery as you do the flowers themselves. Secondly, my wife was surprised at the inferior product that was brought to her. 1. Tips of many of them (roses) were slightly dark as if frozen 2. Stems too short for the large lovely vase 3. Vase too wide- roses looked lost 4. one stem was broken 4 inches down

My wife ordered mothers day flowers for her mother and her mother in law and they did not come at all. We did get an e-mail on her mothers order that they were out of the flowers we ordered and they would substitute diffrent flowers but nothing ever came to either one. They had a big advertizing blitz on the Rush limbaugh show and they obviously suceeded beyond their wildest expectations. We were never billed but as you can imagine the wife was pretty unhappy, especially considering the mother in law got nothing and the normal mother in law dynamic being in place!

I went on line to purchase the advertised "100 blooms for $19.99". Unable to link to the site that would allow me to buy the flowers I ordered a live plant instead. The cost was excessive and the shipping was a lot as well. When the plant arrived it was really hot (from being in the UPS truck all day). It was very small and should have come with a "death certificate" after reading everything a person needed to do just to keep it alive! Watering it was almost impossible due to the packed soil....the water just rolled off. The container was small, so I just removed it and planted the thing in the back yard! I could have gone to a local box store and gotten five plants of the same size for the same price.
Description of Work: Ordered a live Azelia tree (small). Don't do it! If you take a vacation, this plant is like having a small child.....you would have to take it with you or hire a "plant sitter" !!!!!! I emailed ProFlowers and expressed my displeasure....have heard nothing from them. Of course they already have my money!!!

ProFlowers emailed me to confirm the flowers were on their way for delivery on the 13th. I tracked the package through the tracking link provided, and saw that it was scheduled for delivery on the 16th. I called ProFlowers and was informed that it was ok, the shipping company often didn't have accurate information and was told the package should arrive by 5PM. At 5PM I called ProFlowers again, to be told that they would need me to call back after 8PM as that was their cutoff for delivery to a residence. At 8:30 I called back as instructed, only to be told there was nothing they could do as it was still the 13th and the flowers weren't technically late. On Valentine's Day morning I called both the shipper and ProFlowers, only to be told: - There was weather in the shipping location and they would be delayed (there wasn't) - There was weather in the delivery area and they would be delayed (there wasn't) - The shipper had made an error in the delivery mode - The shipping company had made an error in the delivery mode At this point I asked the ProFlowers customer service representative what she could do to fix the situation as it was Valentine's Day. She stated she could either refund my money or she could resend the order -- but that it would not make it for Valentine's Day. She directed me to the website for orders for Valentine's Day shipping, but all were far more expensive than the order I had placed in advance. I asked for my refund and purchased my last-minute bouquet elsewhere.

I like them because the flowers are direct from the growers and the product is very fresh. They guarantee they will be fresh for one week or they will replace them. They have been very good about replacing anything that has been a problem. I don't have to get a vase; I can just get the flowers if I want. I am on their email list and they have a tickler system to remind me of what I've sent in the past. They also have plants. I think their prices are very competitive.

Eleven flowers were delivered. No roses at all. The flowers were delivered in a box with the vase separate so my wife had to arrange the flowers in the vase. The flowers also came wrapped in a green fabric material that had a big sticker on it saying "don't remove this wrapping until the flowers have been in a vase for 24 hours." The company apologized and refunded my money within 24 hours of reporting the problem.

The ordering process was fairly easy. The pictures and descriptions on the website matched up with what was delivered. Although the flowers were shipped instead of brought over, they were well packed and obviously well cared for. The roses have lasted more than a week and are still attractive. I have been happy with this company. They have nice arrangements of cut flowers, preserved flowers and wreaths, and living plants. They have always to the recipients arrived fresh and intact. The photos on the website are clear, and represent the final delivered product. The prices are fair. There are often specials to include vases for free or additional flowers, especially once you've used them before. The hardest part is deciding which arrangement to order.
