Last May (2015) I ordered a floral arrangement for a new baby girl. The experience was very difficult - the vase that I wanted that was on the web site was not available in the city where the baby lives.  ProFlowers offered a substitute vase, and then told me that it was not available either. Finally, they identified a vase (train) that was suitable.
When that floral arrangement was delivered, I asked my niece to send me a picture of it.  It did not look like the picture on the web site - not nearly the # of flowers that were advertised.
Because of the difficulty in getting an appropriate vase, the company sent me an email with a $25 credit for another order by 12/31/15.  It was signed by Doug Chaplin, Head of Customer Care, FloristExpress.com, 1-888-240-6486, 24 hours, 7 days a week.
I didn't have an occasion to use that credit by 12/31/15, so it expired.
Another baby has been born into the family, so I contacted ProFlowers to place an order with the request to issue a current credit.  I gave them the code # for the credit I received last May via email from Doug Chaplin's office.
I was transferred to at least 4 people who were unable to help me.  I then called the # for Doug Chaplin, Head of Customer Care, 1-888-240-6486.  I explained to Michael that I had not used the $25 credit last year and would like to have a new $25 credit since I now had a reason to use it.  He said that a new credit could NOT be issued.
Bottom line:  I didn't use their $25 last year, and they won't let me use a new $25 credit in its place this year.
The process of ordering anything from ProFlowers two times has been frustrating - I will never use them again.

This website and their marketing is confusing. I heard several ads for 1 dz roses for $29.95 with a promo code (there are several promo codes for this same price). However, on the website you find out they are not long stemmed but only short roses. Long stemmed roses were $39.95. The promo codes were accepted but made no difference in price. I left the item in my cart without completing the purchase. I then received 4 emails over the next 18 hours. Two said they would give me an additional 10% off to complete my order bringing the total to $35.98 and two that offered me an additional 20% to complete my order for $31.98. However, when I clicked on that email to complete my order it simply added another item to my cart. And it added it at $34.98, which is not what was offered in either of the 4 emails (35.98 or 31.98 but not 34.98. I thought ok, this is close enough and was going to complete the order. But then, in picking the shipping day I had three options, 2/11,  2/12, 2/13 with a $4.95 upcharge. Or if I was "flexible" I could save. These options changed from the night before when 2/13 was with NO upcharge. So I selected flexible, either 2/11 or 2/12 at their convenience. After this you must complete your recipient card, billing and shipping info before you see what the actual charges are. That's when I found out that I had to pay $14.95 shipping, plus $2+ for "handling" plus tax. So my $29 roses, which became $34.98 (and should have been $31.98) became $57.00. And every time you start over to see if the promo codes were working, you have to reenter all your recipient info, billing and contact info to see what the price will be. WAY too much trouble. I emailed their customer service department, with copies of the emails with the lower price, and only received a canned response spouting their delivery charge policies and how great their flowers are. They completely ignored the questions of why their emailed offers were not the same as what they were charging me. I have ordered from them in the past and the flowers have been acceptable but not especially good. It's just not worth the effort. And if you want long stemmed roses they are apparently not offered at special discounted prices. I will support my local florist from now on.

  • Five of the seven lillies opened up by Mothers Day.  Two big buds never opened.  All seven of the iris never opened.  They were obviously not fresh when delivered.  I followed the instructions to the letter.  I was left with a big green vase with five lillies, two dead lily buds and seven dead iris buds.  My kids spent money they can't afford to get me flowers for Mother's Day.

Each time i have order flowers it has never been close to the pictures. So i double up the amount of flowers you get and they still did not seem as fresh looking as the pictures. For each time i order chocolate they usual are melted by the time they make it off the fedex truck. They did not use enough material to keep them cool. Someone was home for each delivery so that they would not have to sit in the heat. To receive melted chocolate while at home is wrong and it happen on every pruchase. So they need to relook on how they do delivers. And i know this marketing but if you can't get the flowers as fresh as the pictures then to me that is wrong. They at least should be close, mine have been looking as if i had 3 days left before they die...

I bought flowers and candy for my spouse birthday. The flowers never look as good as the picture and you do not get everything in the picture. So i double up and still did not look close to the picture which was disappointing. The chocolate was melted beyond recongnition. I bought flowers from them several times along with chocolate dipped strawberrys. The was melted but replace and are good. But on the last exhange they seem to be given me issues. I guess because everytime i get melted chocolate and i had someone home during the deliver. i can see if the package had to wait until i came home from work... I will not buy flowers again but i will get the strawberries.

This was HORRIBLE. I when on line and ordered flowers for a funeral. The picture on their website shows lilies (my aunt loved lilies) and the price was cheap. But gee, I didn't expect what I saw when I got to the funeral. I was SO DISAPPOINTED and EMBARASSED when I saw what was actually delivered by proflowers. I would never never never never never never never use them again.

I'm trying to post a picture here, but Angie won't let me. Well, let's see if I can describe how horrible it was.  I found out later that the funeral director actually tried to do me a favor by opening the box and putting the flowers into the vase. So there were 3 stems of lilies, looked like they were all dead, just hanging out in a vase. Compared to the beautiful flowers that my family had delivered to the funeral from flower shops, I was horrified and I actually snuck my flowers out of the room and threw them in the garbage before my uncle saw them.

I ordered them as early as June 6/17/2013 t0 be delivered on 6/20/213 to Pillsbury's Funeral Home in Littleton NH for a memorial  scheduled for 10AM on 6/21/2013.ProFlowers didn't notified me until 2:45PM on 6/20/2013 that they could not find a florist in the Littleton NH area to for fill the order. Then in the same breath they asked me if I could have the funeral arrangement sent to the recipients house (which was my deceased daughter house)????? How rude and unprofessional.
I just couldn't believe it. I live near 3hours from where the Memorial was to be held so as it went we didn't have time to place another order. It was heart breaking.
My daughters brother David ordered flowers through the same company and he to did not get his flowers.
There parting words when I asked for a full refund was "Thank you for your order" ????????

I was attracted to this ad on Google, as I was playing one of their "Zynga" games.  I should have checked it out before ordering from them, I confess.  I was disappointed to hear that flowers in vases came in a box. I expected flower delivery like FTD, like everyone else, I guess.  In my case, it didn't matter. I didn't buy a vase.  I may use them again, but I'll be sending them to myself, so I can see what I'm sending people.

I want to post my bill here too.  Just so you know what to expect:

Deluxe Mom's Smiles & Sunshine: $39.98
Happy Mother's Day Card: $  2.99
Standard Delivery $12.99
Care & Handling $  2.99
Tax: $  2.76
TOTAL: $61.71

I will pay more attention next time. I somehow got the idea that delivery on the 9th was going to be "free shipping".  The "Care & Handling" is just a renamed charge they said they weren't charging anymore.  I didn't expect my $40 purchase to exceed $60.  The price doesn't bother me as much as the surprise!  My mom is worth $60.  I'm not sure the flowers were, but she is!

In case anyone wonders; their rating at the Better Business Bureau is a "C" also.

It was a disaster. I placed the order during the week to make sure that the flowers would get to their destination on time. On Saturday I received a notification that the flowers had been picked up by FedEx and were scheduled to be delivered on time. Around noon the same day I recieved a notification from ProFlowers.com saying that there had been an inventory issue and the flowers hadn't been delivered. I called FedEx wondering what was going on; it turned out that ProFlowers.com had put the wrong name in the database so that when FedEx got my package it had the wrong name on it. The flowers had been delivered to the wrong person, and they endeavored to remedy the issue by giving me a $75.00 gift card and then only refunded me $29.00

I paid two premiums, one for delivery on VD and another to make sure it arrived before noon. I accepted this. And they did arrive on time. However, the flowers and vase were in a box and my wife had to assemble the whole thing herself. This was not specified when I ordered on line. When she brought the flowers home the next day, I could see they were not fresh or impressive in the least. I will not do business with these people again.

Their service was okay. I was a little disappointed that I had to actually put the flowers into the vase. The price was higher than I expected because of shipping and I wasn’t that pleased with the flowers themselves.

I was last there for mother's day.   I got some yellow mums.  I had to get there early, they are very busy.  They were preparing wreaths when I got there and they told me to go ahead and get what I needed.

They have never failed me in 25 years. They are always on time. This happened about 15 years ago, they called and said we may be getting to the address a little late delivering it by 7 o'clock in the evening of the same day. And that is the only glitch they ever had. At that time, my wife was a Marine Corp so when I send things to work like on a birthday and things like that, it was always perfect. I'm going to be using them again real soon because my wife's birthday is real soon.

They have good specials. You can always count on them to arrive on time. I have sent orchids to a special person every year, and they are excellent. The orchids have lived a long time. The product is really good since orchids are hard to grow. I think it's a good company. It's reasonably priced. You can always count on them to get there on time.

ProFlowers.com is convenient because we don't have to worry about it. We have no qualms about their quality. One time we sent a gardenia plant and it really looked poorly and they immediately replaced it. ProFlowers.com has been good about that sort of thing.
