Home Solution Presents: The Home Improvement Guys

Rico is a perfectionist when it comes to carpentry, electrical and plumbing. Will post pics of my latest makeover in the works when it is complete. While working for JMW Construction (which I have also reviewed) Rico came up with all kinds of solutions to make my renovation visions come to life. He was the lead craftsman on my first two projects - a 1961 bathroom and a scary, unfinished laundry room that needed walls, new plumbing, lighting and a custom counter. Rico devised a way to make my custom counter vision come to life in limited space and look like it was always there. When it came to finishing the basement he took extra time and care to make sure that the set up would make the most of the space and be functional for our family. He built it from the foundation up, including a beautiful custom closet, custom shelving in the bath and egress and in the storage space. Finally, he was here again this spring making my kitchen come together. When Home Depot screwed all kinds of things up, he found ways to keep working so that we could stay as close to our timeline as possible. When they ordered the wrong height and I was about to send everything back over three inches of storage space, he came up with the idea of adding over cabinet lighting, which we ended up loving better than the original plan (and he spent tireless hours figuring out how to make it the proper voltage for a switch). This attention to detail and desire to exceed the homeowner's expectations are qualities that you can't always find when looking for contractors who you can trust in your home, and also charge fair and reasonable prices.
