DPM Handyman

David Musumeci, aka "Moose" is a very nice man, but I wouldn't hire him to do any work on my home again after our experience with him.  Our relationship began in December, 2011 and ended in May of 2013.  From the very beginning, he was never able to keep to the schedule (he proposed) or maintain a consistent level of effort on our home.  Within a few weeks after the work was (finally) completed, I had to ask Mr. Musumeci to return to fix, first the bay window caps that he had reconnected to the brick façade and had come loose again, repair and reaffix to the external walls the covers he had placed around the tubing for heat pumps we added to the house, and finally, the shutters he installed on the side of our home.  In each case, several calls and e-mails were required to get him to return to re-do work which he had initially completed improperly.  The final straw, however, were the "new" shutters which he installed on the side of our home. Within a few weeks after installation, they began to fall apart and we would find pieces in the driveway and in the yard.  Mr. Musumeci returned to fix the first couple that were damaged, but they, and others, soon fell apart again.  His excuses ranged from windy conditions in our neighborhood, that seemed to only affect our home (no other homes on our street experienced this problem), to faulty manufacture which was also not his fault.  In May of 2013, it became impossible to even get him to come back to the house to fix his shoddy work.  Agreed to dates for return would be set and missed, and it also became obvious that even if he came back; the workmanship was so poor, he would need to make repairs again within a few days or weeks.  I finally "fired" him on the 11th of May, 2013.  My plan now is to hire another handyman to fix his work.  Again, Mr. Musumeci is very nice man, but in the wrong line of work!
