I'd give them an "A" overall. They are prompt when taking care of emergencies. They are very responsive to my needs and got me an appointment the same day. Generally very good, very helpful. Very loving towards my cat.

The vet gave her a quick look over and totally missed that she had a bad infection due to a bite from another cat. Charged me a hefty fee and sent us home to a night of pain and misery. Went to the wonderful Vets to Cats the next morning, where they quickly resolved the problem at a reasonable price. After I put up quite a fuss Botetourt Vet refunded my money, but let me know that we were not to seek care with them again. No problem!

There are multiple vets at this location, all of which are wonderful, very personable and kind. They are great with the animals! They take time to let the animals get to know them before they start poking and sticking which is a practice that I can honestly say not all Vet offices nearby share . Botetourt Vet might be a little pricey but they know their stuff there and are well worth it!

It's quick and easy to get an appointment. Everyone there is professional. They have a large staff. The location is good and their hours are good. The vets are compassionate as I did have to put an animal down and they were very good about that.

In our experience with Botetourt Veterinary Hospital we have not had any problems. All the vets there are knowledgeable and the staff is helpful and friendly. The building is clean. They also offer boarding services but I'd rather leave my large dogs at a facility that has outdoor runs. The indoor kennel would be OK for smaller dogs and cats, I was told they take them for a short walk at 8 hour intervals.
