He responded very quickly, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it. I haven't met anybody better.

The coolant was leaking. They had to take the furnace apart to get to it. Our furnace is in a crawl space under the house, it is not very accessible and they got it. It was a lot of money, but they are reasonable priced. I had to call them back on something. Not on the job they did, but I had trouble with one of my other units. I have a 2 zone house, and they came right away and took care of it. They were on time, very good. Excellent on professionalism. They are very pleasant to deal with. They cleaned up after themselves. They gave me a quote before hand, and the quote was accurate. I would recommend them to anyone.

They are phenomenal. I use them every six months. We had a problem with our circuit box and Owens is the one that figured it out. They were great and they do our heating and air six month service. They always punctual, polite and I have no complaints with them.

The original appointment was missed. The technician never showed but called later in the day and said they forgot to come out. The said it was due to a large amount of calls but he said he could show up later in the week. I agreed and he did show at the time he said he would. He checked the system and found it was low on freon. He charged the system as best as he could. Apparently, it takes a long time to get freon in a system when it is cold outside. That wasn't the techs fault. The systems appears to be working better now that it has a good charge of freon.

I contacted three well reviewed local heating and airconditioning providers.
Mr. Owens provided me the best price for the highest SEER system.
He gave me several options and I chose an AMANA 18 SEER 4 ton unit for $7300.
He ordered the system but one of the units had a dent, so he returned it and ordered a replacement.
Ordering the replacement unit delayed the installation one day.
He arrived at the scheduled time and installed the entire system in less than a day.
My wife was home while he did his work.
Once he finished, he waited around 30 minutes until I returned home so he could brief me on the new system.
He also assisted me with setting up the programmable thermostat and going online to register the system for warranty purposes and tax documentation.
It was a good experience and i would use Owens Mechanical again.

The heatpump was serviced by a large company about a year prior and the thermostat was replaced. My friend recommended Owens Mechanical, and I gave Mr Owens a call and he came fast, reviewed the owners manual for the thermostat and determined that it was not installed correctly. He fixed it and did a check of my system and my system was up and running in no time.

The serveiceman was om time, called in advance to let me know he was coming and had the furnace up and running in 45 minutes. Also provided an estimate on replacing the unit. Extremely polite and professional! We will definitely continue to use this company!

The system looks good and I am satisfied with the installation of the inside equipment. When the outside unit was installed, I cautioned the contractor that I was planning on installing a dual fuel unit next to the unit he was replacing and that the unit he was installing could not go in the same footprint of the old unit. When the crew leader/owner told me the unit was set, I saw that they had installed the new unit was sitting where the old one was set. When I told them that I need more room the men dragged the unit over as far as the electric cable would reach. I asked if the line set was in risk of being pinched under the house they replied that there was a big loop under the house and there was “no way we could kink that line”. Long story short they kinked the line but, I found that out 6 months later when the other unit was installed. In the mean time I kept calling the original contractor because the out side unit made so much noise when it stopped and started. All he did was check the charge. Then, after I told him about the kinked line set, he charged me to fix the kinked line. When I went to inspect his work, I found that he never replaced the insulation on the line set. The unit still makes a lot of noise when it stops and starts. The system was installed in the fall, when winter came and the temperature dropped below 40 degrees the unit’s furnace never started. The installer came out and found that he had the thermostat running on the wrong program. When I complained about how loud the system was, his response was that there was a manual with the paper work and it would show me how to set switches in the unit so the fan would run at a slower speed. What a guy. As for the Samsung split system, the unit seemed to run all the time last winter. Now that I need it to heat again the unit just flashes lights at me. When I called the Samsung support number, the technician talked me through the trouble shooting and he determined the unit needs to be charged. The installing contractor does not return my calls so I guess I have to hire someone to recharge the system. Also, the contractor installed a gutter on the out side of the garage. On the outside the gutter looked good. As summer came along, where the gutter runs horizontally it would leak water and became moldy. I took the gutter apart and found that the line set for the last two feet was insulated together causing a lot of condensation.
