Anderson's Corner Animal Hospital

A highly qualified veterinary staff with a beautifully laid out facility. Unfortunately their customer service has severely deteriorated in recent months. It is not unusual to have a confirmed appointment and sit in the waiting room for 30 minutes or more, without explanation. A common courtesy would be to explain the reason for the delay after 10 minutes - never happens. I brought 2 rescues in as new clients. They had their vaccination records. Twenty five minutes later the admin staff was still entering 10 data points into their system and they will not tell the Vet you are ready until they have finished. It takes the Vet 20 seconds to review a paper copy. I will say they do perk up when you tell them you're leaving. My advice is if you have a lot of time on your hands this is the place for you - just bring a good book - like War and Peace.

So far our dog is doing fine. 5 more weeks of rehap to go.

They show great concern for their human clients and also for the pets that they take care of. They are courteous and professional. My pets interact with them very well. Over the past 4 years they've taken care of 2 cats and 2 dogs and they have done well on all.

Their services are wonderful. They are thorough, professional, and knowledgeable. They are always looking for solutions. I have been going here for about 3 years now. My dog has had surgery here, and been boarded as well. I go here about twice a week. My dog is my life, and I drive 70 miles just to go here. Everyone that works here is wonderful!

The initial evaluation and then the treatment were the first I worked with Dr. Robb directly although BJ has been out to the facility numerous times since he first had TPLO surgery with Doc Murphie Sr. almost two years ago.  Since then I have never looked back as I truly believe BJ was the luckiest dog in the world to have been introduced to this practice.   I am one of those awful pet parents, worse than picky, and overly obsessed with the quality of vet care for my dogs. so I do not provide accolades easily.  Nor would I take the time away from work to travel 70 miles each way for BJ's care.  Excellent care is something I have full expectations to receive.  While many disappoint,  ACAH has never failed to impress nor have they ever disappointed.  Maybe they are not perfect all the time, but then who is and I guess I am lucky as I haven't caught any of those times. One of the things they do is  actually listen to you and don't treat you like they know your dog better than you do.  They address your concerns, always taking the time to insure you are comfortable and understand what they are saying. And always open and honest with you. .   

This last session was above and beyond what I expected.  Dr. Robb and Katie were nothing short of fantastic.  Knowledgeable, interested, proactive, thinking outside the box, conversant, open and I guess I could go on and on.  I was as impressed with what he did with BJ and what he said he might try as I was when I first met Doc Murphie Sr for BJ's TPLO 18 months earlier.  Not only did BJ need the surgery, but I needed to have him there for the full 8 weeks post op.  And almost right off the bat Doc said he needed to keep him post op for the whole time.  IT was as though he was reading my mind.  Strangest thing ever.  But that feeling you get when you walk into a new spot and you look around, take notice of what is going on and the interaction of the staff with each other, the clients and the animals, and you watch your dog and notice his reaction when first meeting the people that will work with him.  In that instant you know. Your instinct and that of your dogs, your gut reaction was spot on. 

They have built up a phenomenal clinic with a great staff, from reception thru to surgery and treatment, to the groomers through to the kennel.   And yes, BJ has been a patient and 'guest' in just about every section, numerous time  and I am always comfortable knowing he is in the best of hands;  at the very least, a professional and caring staff, 24/7 who are always accessible.

Awesome place. Actually nicer than many people's homes. No unpleasant animal smells that are typical of so many animal hospitals/kennels. Very busy place but yet, my wait was short. Gave the receptionist the instructions. Had the food bagged and labeled for each meal complete with a supplement we give her. They also clipped her nails. She seemed really enjoy the place and everything went like clockwork. When going to the next kennel, we were missing some paperwork and Anderson Corner was nice enough to fax it to the new kennel in North Carolina. 
Very pleased with this kennel, Great hours. Bonus is having an animal hospital there with 24 hour staffing should anything go awry. 
Would DEFINITELY use this kennel again and highly recommend it!!!!!

I go regularly, I have two dogs. The price depends on what's being done. They are not more expensive that any other vet and they are very good. They are the best I've seen around here. In an emergency, they'll see you right away.

Once I decided that only certain vets could treat my animals, it was fine. I think the older, more experienced vets are more willing to listen and actually appear to be a little less overly confident. It is a very convenient practice because they stay open late and are open on both Saturdays or Sundays.

The visit went great, Anderson's Corner Animal Hospital is the greatest.  They have a very nice and comfortable waiting room and they are very prompt. The veterinarian Dr. Murphy is wonderful, he is a very caring person, very knowledgeable and dedicated.

She had developed cancer about six years ago and they had taken care of her all along and one day in June, she got really sick and we called them and we too her right up there. They took her right in. There was nothing they could do but they were so good and put her down and let me stay with her.

Have taken this same dog for regular wellness examinations and on occasions where a problem existed. The dog has had two major surgeries which were very successful. In the process we interacted with several of the veterinians and found them to be highly qualified, helpful, compassionate, caring. The facility is beautiful, well maintained and welcoming. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. My experiences with this provider have always been very positive, and I would highly recommend them.
Services at ACA include Primary Care Veterinary Medicine; Critical/Emergency Care; Advanced Orthopedic Surgery; Dentistry and Oral Surgery; Bird and Exotic Pet Care; Holistic/Complementary Verterinary Medicine; Pet Boarding and Daycare at their Animal Hotel; Grooming and Bathing. In addition they work closely with several breed rescue groups.

We have used Andersons Corner for about 4 years. The veterinarians and staff go above and beyond for the care of the animals. The staff will call when the pet goes into surgery and right after surgery to let you know that your pet is doing fine. If anything unforeseen happens during surgery or if the surgery takes a little longer then expected somebody from the staff will call and let you know what is happening. I also love the fact that when your pet has to stay overnight it is not left alone. An assistant is always at the clinic to take care of the sick and vacation pets. Andersons Corner has staff at the facility 24/7. I highly recommend them.
