This whole experience went better than any other project we've had done. Caleb, the owner, spoke with me first and was willing to look at the bathroom the same day. I got a quote for just the shower and one for the entire bathroom. We decided to replace just the shower. I received weekly phone calls updating me on when they could start. They were able to start earlier than anticipated and they completed the work quickly and efficiently. I was trying to coordinate this from another state and they did a great job taking pictures and staying in touch. The shower looks amazing.

This was a large project and it went wonderfully well. Caleb's vision and the artistry, talent and professionalism of the crew were so very much appreciated. The kitchen, powder room and butler pantry are beautiful. Our new exterior doors are such an improvement and make such a difference in the outside appearance of our home. We had to go out of town for a few days and were quite comfortable with Kevin and his crew continuing the work in our absence. The project just flowed and we couldn't be happier or more satisfied. We are considering one more major remodel (master bath) and will definitely turn to Tidewater Pro. Highly, highly recommend.

After meeting with planning staff in office ,Robert and crew arrived on time, laid out drop cloths, reviewed again what was to be done and went to work. Professional job all the way! Got the work done on time and budget. Great crew from Front Office to the hammer guys to electrician and plaster repair. Robert let us know what was happening all throughout the project. For a completed project these are the guys to get it done!

After many meetings with contractors I chose to hire Tidewater ProBuild to remodel my kitchen. I found companies who offered me a cheaper bid at least it appeared so but as I asked questions it was clear the initial bid was a guesstimate one that would change with the details. All the companies subcontracted out a good deal of the work, this concerned me because it would mean several companies coordinating their schedules to get my remodel completed. Tidewater ProBuild has their own specialist inhouse. The other significant difference was the contract with Tidewater ProBuild was all inclusive. Initially I was overwhelmed with the information I was given and met with Trey twice for several hours just to review the information in the contract and to develop a picture of what I hoped my kitchen would look like when the work was complete. Trey used the computer program to show me how my kitchen would look, and he made changes until it was exactly what I wanted. I changed a few more times even after the remodel was started and he patiently made the changes. Trey, Caleb and Kevin all very experienced in remodels checked in with me each day keeping me apprised of what to expect the next day. They answered my questions and offered creative suggestions throughout the entire process. I now have a kitchen I love, and the job was done on time and slightly under my original budget. I got everything and more than what was promised in the contract. I am happy to talk with anyone about my experience and have let Trey know he can feel free to use me as a reference. The employees of the Tidewater ProBuild were all helpful; they never acted frustrated or hurried when I would stop and ask questions. How did it go? Most Excellently! 1. Responsiveness and communication – our initial inquiry got a response within a day. Throughout the renovation, communication was excellent, and there was always someone onsite who was in charge of the day. Everyone was open to our questions, suggestions, comments and new ideas, which allowed changes during the process which turned out to be great. 2. Design & materials selections –We met with the contractor's designer a few times to begin planning, talk budget, and explain our expectations, wants and needs. Next we met with the contractor who had additional suggestions and ideas which turned out saving us a bit of money. They were very familiar with the materials, supplies and various brands, and made recommendations based on what we wanted. Selection of materials was a fun process, looking at some in their office, or shopping for what was needed. 3. Quality & Punctuality - very good workmanship and attention to details such as with the various moldings and trim painting, and with tile work and grouting. They showed up when they said they would. 4. Project scope - The project included kitchen renovation, master bath and second bath renovations with floor plan changes, opening up the main floor plan, entire interior house painting, new floors throughout, and a few window and both exterior and interior door changes. We already had a lot of custom molding and trim work, and they were able to preserve it, or copy where needed to keep the same look through the house. 5. Professionalism – Everyone was always great. They were respectful to us, and our property. 6. Overall - We were pleased with every member of the team who worked on our project including the Tidewater Pro Build team, their electrician, and all the other subcontractors such as the masons, plasterers, and plumbers. From start to time of completion, a 12 week period was planned. It was extended only by three more days due to unexpected issues which were addressed to our great satisfaction. We lived in the house during the renovations which they planned in stages so we always had a working bathroom and shower, and bedroom, and made sure we stayed as comfortable as possible during the project. 7. We are very satisfied with the price we paid, and know it will greatly add value to our home. We’ve received many compliments on the work and recommend them highly. Trey and Caleb were a pleasure to work with, as was their entire team.

Tremendous high-quality work. Went just fine. Guy comes out and looks at things, draws out plans; project took about 8 weeks but we weren't pressuring. Trey was tangible...he keeps in touch! We had a roof issue a couple of weeks ago and I texted Trey about this and he had his guys out there that night. They did the work over Memorial Day weekend!!! They take a tremendous amount of pride in how they work: where do you want the foot traffic, very aware of your property.

This was not a good experience, sadly. We met with the Sales Manager to get an estimate on a small bathroom renovation. Very quickly, this become a "sales pitch" for the other renovations we had been planning, including jokes from the Sales Manager about how much this was going to cost. Personally, I don't joke about my money - I work too hard to earn it. The day after he left, I wrote an email to him about working through the renovation plan in phases, for both time and money savings. I got a reply: "thanks for the update". A week later I got a phone messagel: "Hey we need to talk about this because the costs are really climbing." Following some "phone tag" while I was on a business trip, I sent him an email: "Please just give me an estimate on the guest bathroom". No response received for three weeks and counting. I guess to him my money and my project turned out to be a joke after all. This is the most disappointing experience I have had to date.

My wife and I are very, very pleased with Tidewater Pro Build’s remodel of our master bathroom, and we are not the easiest customers to please. We had discussed a remodeling project for several years but it became a necessity when our master bathroom shower developed a leak that started to stain and drip through the ceiling of the room below it. After two different plumbers could not find the source of the leak, we knew something drastic had to happen, and that is where Tidewater Pro Build comes in. I called and left messages with several contractors and posted inquiries on several contractor websites. A few of them ignored my requests. One contractor said that most of his men lived in Virginia Beach and would not want to drive as far as Suffolk for a job. Tidewater Pro Build responded to my website inquiry in the middle of a Sunday morning. Frank, the Sales Manager said that when he saw that we were having a leak through the ceiling, he knew the job was urgent and wanted to make contact as soon as possible. Frank met with us later that day and just a day or two later, Tidewater Pro Build was at our house to troubleshoot. They had to take down the drywall around the shower to find the leak, but once it was isolated and the living room ceiling dried out, they did a beautiful job in repairing and painting the ceiling. We did a total makeover of the bathroom. Frank made some design recommendations during the initial walk-through planning. We met with Trey and Brian to develop our design and lay out our plans. Along the way, Trey made several very helpful suggestions that kept our supply costs under better control. He recommended strongly that we stick with one line of plumbing fixtures to ensure that the finishes matched throughout the room. Trey offered a very creative solution to our problem of where in the bathroom to relocate the linen cabinet. The demolition phase went very quickly. The rebuilding phase proceeded much more slowly, as they predicted it would. Quality work takes time. We needed the job completed by a wedding-date deadline, before out-of-town family started to arrive. And even though, about a week before the deadline, it looked like the project would not be finished, we had a fully functional master bathroom in time for the wedding. It was not a rushed patch-job to get the project finished; the last phases of the job were done as carefully and with as much craftsmanship as the earliest. There were a few touch-up items that needed to be addressed after the wedding and those were done on schedule. When we found a few more add-on punch list items we wanted fixed, Tidewater Pro Build did not hesitate to come to our house and correct them promptly. Sales Manager Frank even came out to inspect the project when it was completed to ensure our satisfaction. This is the kind of customer service anyone would want from their home contractor. We now have a beautiful, designer-quality, custom master bathroom that is one of the prettiest rooms in the house and one of the nicest you will ever see. I will forward photographs to Tidewater Pro Build to post on their Facebook page when we have all the furnishings and décor in place. There are a few already. My wife and I would not hesitate to use Tidewater Pro Build for our future remodeling projects. Thank you Trey, Caleb, Brian, Frank, and Kevin!

These guys were awesome. I was warned upfront that they were not the cheapest, but in the end I'd be happy with the work. I was NOT disappointed. They made me the envy of my neighborhood. They even collaborated with another contracting in ensuring the timing was perfect when I replaced my roof. They also advised me about getting some added air conditioning work so I wouldn't suffer the same water damage again. They do quality work!!!! I'm anxious to bring them back. The next time I'm ready to add a room or even build a house, I want them.

I have used Tidewater Pro Build for many projects on my house in Williamsburg. Before I bought the house, Trey and his team had remodeled the kitchen, and I was so impressed that I hired them to replace the roofing and siding. Most recently, I hired them to gut and remodel the three bathrooms in the house. They did an outstanding job, and the bathrooms are absolutely beautiful! Trey and Caleb made a number of recommendations that worked perfectly to make the most efficient use of the space in the bathrooms. I could not have been happier with the results.. Caleb led the team that literally gutted our bathroom and rebuilt it in a way that exceeded our expectations. Likewise with the kitchen. Caleb took care to address every detail as if the job was for his own house. His team was fantastic; very respectful...yes sir, no sir...rare these days. I was so pleased with the work Caleb and his team did on the interior of my house I asked his brother Trey to do some exterior work to repair some significant water damage below my deck that had begun to manifest in wood rot, doors that didn't work right, cracks, etc. With the same work ethic as Caleb, Trey brought in a team that removed my old deck, made the repairs and replaced the deck with one that was way better built. Their joinery was clean and detailed and the design was very attractive. Again, very respectful crew that did great work, cleaned up every day, and paid attention to every detail as if their own. I absolutely would hire Tidewater ProBuild over anyone else out there today for just about any job I had. Trey Whitten has the licenses to build a house from the ground up so when I need something done I will call Tidewater ProBuild again.

The owner of Tidewater Pro-Build, Trey, contacted me within a day. He listened to my concerns and dispatched Kevin and Steve (the shower door pros) to handle the job. Both men were on-time, looked and acted professional in my home from start to finish. Kevin listened to our concerns, provided us with his professional opinion and he & Steve executed the job with ease. Our bathroom looks great! The shower door shuts perfectly, allowing no water to seep through, the baseboard trim looks great- flush against the wall and the angled cuts that we couldn't do look great! Kevin came up with a plan to fix our barn door which not only provided us with the privacy we were seeking, but he added trim and additional wood around the frame that looks great with the existing trim we had in the neighboring room. I am so pleased! They even cleaned up after themselves, ridding the area of debris and sweeping the floor. I would highly recommend Tidewater Pro-Build to anyone looking to remodel or fix a DIY project gone wrong.

The cost of service noted above includes fixtures, tile, vanities, etc.
These people are wonderful to work with.  They use their own employees, not sub-contractors.  Their estimate was the highest of all I got, but gut feeling told me to go with them and I don't regret it.  They were focused on what I wanted and worked to make it happen. Their rep went "shopping" with me to pick out fixtures, vanities and tile and offer suggestions. I didn't have a clue about what tile to get for the new enlarged shower, but after settling on a floor tile, they were able to pick out a complementary shower tile which I liked.  
The master bath was a major rework.  After tearing down the interior wall I wanted removed, it was discovered that there a vent pipe in it.  This necessitated an additional charge to rework the plumbing.  As I am on a slab, the floor had to be dug up to reroute the vent pipe.  The inspector was not happy with their original plumbing rereoute, so a lot of the work had to be redone. They didn't ask for more money to do this.  
A false wall behind the existing shower was removed and moved back maybe 6 inches and the front of the shower was extended a few inches.  A bench was installed.  The few inches on the side and front of the shower made quite a difference in the size of the shower.  
When it came time to pick a top for the new vanities, once again, once again I didn't have a clue what to do.  I knew I wanted quartz and a not a dark color.  Trey brought two samples one of which I fell in love with.  Since it was a remnant, he got a reduced price on it.  
This project started in June/July of 2015 and they are still trying to get the shower door straight.  The door is not standard size and had to be ordered.  The first two doors had defects. (I am using the second one now).  Third door, wrong color, 4th door not right either.  Because of all the problems, they are not charging me for the door.  They have ordered a fifth which hopefully will be OK.  I am sure others would have walked away once I had the second door which is usable but has a defect.
Trey decided a needed a ceiling fan for my my bedroom and said they would put it in if I bought one  I did and his brother Robert installed it, no charge. My total satisfaction was their foremost focus.

All went well once we started on the work.  Unfortunately, the proposed design would not work in the space and we had to go back to the existing floor plan.  There was a lot of back and forth for the design and materials.  It ended up costing more than the original estimate.   They had to take out a wall in our kitchen to get to a pipe and they did a great job with the repair.  The tile work is excellent.
