They beds were very shallow and it was hard to tell that they did any work.  The drainage problem was made worse when pipes from the house were extended adding A/C condensation water to the area.  The shrubs promised were not delivered, several emails were sent regarding the issue.  Mr.  Conway the owner came to the house to inspect the work and announced that they had not caused a problem but he would resolved the issue with the shrubs.  The shrubs were substituted for the ones that I wanted.  I am hesitant to have them complete the work because of how bad the first job was.  I truely beleive that they did not start from the ground up when replacing the beds.  I feel that it is fair to have my landscaping look presentable.  I have not heard anything back from the service provider after contacting them about the issue.  Every other company that has come out to look at thier work has said that the company cheated me.

Great service overall.  Very friendly and knowledgeable.  Provided details landscaping design with no upfront costs, plant recommendations, etc.  Installation was very professional and looks great.  Several plants were relocated without any issue.  High quality plants/mulch and service!  Would definitely recommend again.

Design the landscape, and discussed with us.  Made all necessary changes.  The plants they chose fit the surroundings and locals well.  We have HOA and they follow the guidance as well.  After signing the contract, they came to loosen the soil, plant the shrubs, and put the multch.  Everything to our satisfaction.

They took longer than anticipated. However, they went to the home, looked at what had to be done, did a very good job and completed the job for exactly what they quoted. They finished the job, sent me a bill and never called me back. They were worth my money.

I really like their personal service. Whenever I need help I can just turn around and somebody is there.

In Virginia, we do a lot of landscaping in the late fall.  Fall is the best time to plant perennials; we have a mild winter.  They had reasonable pricing.  They have great quality plants that are native to the area, unlike stores that sell plants that grow in Michigan and such.  They provide expert advice.  They are certified people with horticulture degrees; you can trust their judgment.  Their landscape planning is outstanding.

Smithfield Gardens was responsive, helped me plan, worked on revisions, lighting, listened to my concerns and helped me stay within budget.

They are excellent.

They were the one that actually saved my trees. They were very good. I will use them again in the future.

This was a tornado recovery project - since we lost more than 15 trees, Paul helped me to choose plants for my new sunny yard and plan what to do with our now-barren landscape. The time lapse between calls was a bit much - in order to stay in touch with Paul, YOU need to get in touch with HIM. But that wasn't a problem for me, because when work started his crew was always friendly, on time, and ready to work. The work was completed in a timely manner. Paul stopped by occasionally to check on the progress of the project. My yard looks much better, and we look forward to completing more sections of the landscape plan as we can afford them.

The people at Smithfield did wonderful work and our yard looked fantastic. They graded everything and cleaned up real well after all the work we had done on the house. They hauled in topsoil for the garden and lawn. They created a nice rock garden with gravel pathways. We were having them come back to do more work very soon.
