The Nansemond Exteriors team did an outstanding job on our window install from start to finish! Thorough estimate process and great value compared to 4 big name competitors for 23 windows. Fabulous. Nick was great to work with. He was responsive and had guys out that worked **** ** the roof for a week and a separate team that work on the soffitt work below the roof. Both look great. The company gave a fair price and kept in touch with as the work was being done. I highly advise everyone to strongly consider nansemond exteriors for their roofing and soffitt siding work.

I had 24 windows replaced. It was a job well done with workers who showed pride in their work. They cleaned up well after each day and left me with sparkling clean windows that will be easier to maintain.

The men who did the work were very professional, cleaned up when they were finished, and placed the furniture back where it belonged. The windows and the trim work are beautiful. We are very happy with the product and service that was provided.

My experience with Nansemond Exteriors has been nothing short of fantastic. They recently installed nearly 30 new windows; repaired and wrapped my fascia, frieze, and rake boards; covered my soffit system, and replaced my old gutters with seamless gutters and downspouts. All of their products are high quality and their prices are very fair. When Fairren came to my house to discuss the job and what I wanted to have done, he spent as much time as I needed to answer questions and make recommendations. In fact, he saved me thousands of dollars by not selling me a number of windows that were not needed... and he could easily have sold me those windows. Nick was prompt when he performed his estimate and moved forward with the order, which was 1 large bay picture window with cherry interior and 19 other windows with cherry interior as well as one white on white window for our garage. The order came in on time without delay. Unfortunately the installers were late arriving the first day on the job. They proceeded to install the first floor windows except the large picture window. The picture window was broken during shipment so there was a delay in getting a new window. The installers came back and installed the 2nd floor windows. As they were leaving for the day we noticed that the windows were white on white. Not the ones we had ordered. According to Nansemond Interiors, the order was correct but Sunrise windows messed up the order. I guess the installers do not review the job because they installed the wrong windows. The windows did come in after reordering them and everything else went OK. A few times during the work process I attempted to get in touch with Nick and most of the time he was prompt but a few times he did not respond. He did let me know that he was sorry for the delay for his response but I was not the only customer that he responded to, because he had around 30 other customers he was helping at the same time. In general, the installers kept the job site quite clean, unfortunately I did find cigarette butts in my flower pots and in my bushes. I also found numerous metal shards around my yard and flower beds that could have dangerous if I had not removed them. After completion of the task, I am pleased with the quality of the windows.

Nansemond Exteriors replaced siding and soffit 2 years ago from severe wind damage. Matched original 18 y. o. exterior siding color and style very well and completed job professionally at at a very good price. Recent Hurricane Matthew caused wind to tear partial soffit and siding from area of original repair. Called Nansemond who came out the next week and replaced/repaired damage at no cost. Fairren and worker were very personable and professional. Work was completed in a timely manner. Area repaired looks like new.

We were originally given an estimated start time of 4 weeks after the windows were ordered. They were finished earlier and Nick called to arrange a start date approximately one week sooner than we had originally anticipated. We had 2 windows that were originally some type of glass doors (our neighbor's house is an exact duplicate so you can compare the two). They were converted to windows at some point prior to us purchasing the house. This is a very old home, built somewhere around 1935, and nothing is standard size. It turned out those 2 windows were not as straight forward as the others. It took them a couple of hours on the first window to get the old one out and the frame ready for the new one. The second window went a bit faster but still took much longer than they had anticipated. They probably lost a half day on these two windows. Nick came by at the end of the first day and checked on everything. Things went much quicker after that. The crew was always courteous and friendly. When they finished it looked like a new house.

The kitchen window is a cathedral Shaped and when we seen the completion, it took our breath away.  The crew were fantastic and friendly.  Performed the job as if it was their home.  Nick is always availiable to you requirements.  We are now having them do our roof.

All aspects related to this effort went exceptionally well. It was clear that we were dealing with an experienced and established company who represented a quality, yet reasonably priced product. Nick, the owner's son, began the process, with a visit to our home to present his product and to take measurements. An estimate followed that was significantly lower than a competitor's quote. Scheduling for installation was arranged with flexibility that was sensitive to our own work schedules. Explanations related to use and care for the windows were provided as well. Two of the installers that I met, David and Cary, had 30 & 25 years experience with the company respectively and it showed in their craftsmanship. They were artists in their trade and the end result was beautifully wrapped and installed windows. There were others involved that I didn't have the opportunity to meet, to include the owner of Nansemond Exteriors, that were also a part of this effort both on and off site. Mentioning them is to point out that we felt we were dealing with not just a company, but rather a team that acted like family. Loyalty, pride, and quality were just a few of the characteristics I would use to describe the folks we dealt with and the end product they provided. I wouldn't hesitate doing business with them again and will be recommending them to friends and family needing this same kind of service!

A+++++++++++++ job from start to finish.  From the quote, to the instillation, to the clean up everything exceeded our expectations. AND, the price is half of what we were quoted by other major brands for windows that are better quality and have a better warranty.  We shopped them all and let me save you some time.  Call Nick, pick a window and let them do their job.  Couldn't be happier. 

This was not a cheap project, but it was a situation where "you get what you pay for." We got other bids that were lower, but the quality of the windows did not come close to matching what Nansemond had to offer. We had all the of windows on the first floor of the house replaced; it's a bungalow with a lot of windows. Most of the windows are fairly large casements with muntins applied on both the interiors and exteriors, which tend to be more expensive than regular windows anyway. Part of the job required reframing a sun porch.  Every step of the process was carried out very professionally, from the estimate through the final installation. The whole project took about a week altogether; the crew arrived on time each day, and the owner was on site working and supervising most of the time.The whole process went very smoothly. The windows are beautifully installed and look like they came with the house. It was a pleasure to work with everyone involved, and we'll definitely call again when it's time to replace the upstairs windows.

The price was reasonable as I did call around. They did a great job with the installation. They were on time, friendly, and very professional to work with. They got the work done quickly. They came right back to replace one of the windows as it had an issue after they left. We had no hassle with the follow up.

They actually came to my daughter's school which was supporting the PTA events like games, vendors and different things. He came and got a space and was providing home improvements, exteriors, windows, siding that kind of stuff. What they offered and what I took them up on was to wrap these windows. They were able to match the color according to the house. Now I will never have to go out there, stand on the ladder painting my windows. They were very thorough and professional as far as measuring all the windows and double checked a couple of times to make sure they had the right things. It looked like a good product as far as I can tell at a very competitive price. The people they have doing the windows, they have a windows crew and that's all they do and they just do windows. They came out and just took two days to do our entire house; it was some twenty odd windows. By the end of the first day they had every windows installed and the company they bought the windows from had not actually filled the order completely. They didn't realize that until they got here. They ended up having to come back the second time to replace. It was two picture windows and it was one of the picture windows that they had to come back. The second was just trimming, putting the trim that I had mentioned on the windows. They are a company that is very straight forward and that will do what it needs to be done to make you happy. There were three four windows that the screens were damaged in transit or when they were installed it but I don't know which. They ordered the screens from the manufacturer which came and they installed the screens with no problem. In fact there was a manufacturing defect in one of the windows and they had to replace one of the sashes of the windows and they did it with no problem. We are very pleased with the windows. We have noticed it's not quite welcoming during the winter time but we like it a lot in summer. I'm currently sitting on a chair with the window behind me and I've got four fronts and it's substantially cool than we had the original windows. You don't get quite the nice warm window effect in the winter time but in the summer time more that like a lot. We have definitely noticed a decrease in our heating belt. I'm very pleased. They're price is competitive and they were doing more work for their price. They are very responsive. They've come out and done the extra things that I've talked about. The only thing they do, that I wasn't happy with is that they don't do a final proposal. When they're done, they don't give you a final invoice, you just pay them and you're done which is a little bit surprising to me. They didn't have to deviate the original proposal and that may be why they didn't give me a final proposal. They did it right the first time which I appreciate. I would use them in the future in fact I'm planning on having them come back and do some of the cladding around my garage doors. Another thing they did which I appreciate is, I have three indoor cats they were very happy to work with us on shifting the cats from room to room and making sure that cats didn't get out while there were holes in the wall.
