Atlantic Well Drilling & Pump Service

He was here six years ago.  The last time we would have used him, It would have been May 2008.  It cost around eleven hundred what he charged us was twenty four hundred.  There was nothing different from the first paperwork to the last paperwork for paying final cost.  So it's not like he said well I added new lines or something like that, what he gave us for an estimate and told us what was going to be charged and what (inaudible) because it was double priced.  I wouldn't pay him for awhile, I was like you have to look at this, something isn't right, how could you do that.  You know if you come and tell me hey there's going to be a problem it's going to cost a lot more, that's one thing, but to do the work and then come in a couple hours later and say yeah here's your bill and we look at it and be how can it be $2400?, you said it wouldn't be more than $1200, so anyway, there was no justification, I'm not happy about that.  We already knew we were kind of overpaying for the sprinklers but when you get things like that.  His work is good, I give him a good rating on his work, I think morally, I mean, why the contractors can do a good job but trustworthiness I think he lost between my neighbor who went to church with him, my neighbor and me are not using him anymore and I think it's a morals issue. 

Well pump quit around 9 am called them and they were here by 12 noon and we had water by 1 pm.

I had to be out of the house when the technician came so my wife had to work with them.  The people I spoke with on the phone were a little abrupt but nothing outrageous.  The tech showed up at the house, looked at the problem, poked a wire into the venturri thinking it might be clogged.  When that didn't resolve the problem he told my wife 'looks like you need a new pump" and charged us $175 for the service call.

He did not check any other aspects of the well, hook up any test equipment or even look under the house where the splitters and well head is (5 feet from the pump).

I have had two other companies come out since then.  One looked at the venturi and operation and suggested I have the well checked as the pump seemed to operate fine and DID NOT CHARGE ME A DIME.

Do not use Atlantic - I have had much better luck in cost, quality and professionalism with C&G.  Chris has been terrific to work with.

The service was outstanding, I called on a Sunday 6:30pm at night to explain the situation where our line had been crushed and they put me on the list for the first thing the next morning and were there on time to complete the service. I watched them service the well and they explained what was wrong before fixing. The gentlemen had no problem with me watching and in fact were quite happy to answer questions I had. They told me the pump was on its way out however they said it had some time before going out, he didn't try and talk me into buying one the same day which I did appreciate.
