Tysons was excellent. Called on a Saturday about getting a quote for removing two medium sized that were leaning toward a neighbors house. Mark came out on Sunday afternoon and gave me a reasonable quote for removing them, as well as grinding down an old stump. By the next day, Monday at 2pm, the Tysons crew of five or six guys, a crane, a wood chipper, and a truck to remove the big logs were at my house. They took each tree out in two pieces, using the crane to lift the trees over my house and between a narrow gap between my and my neighbors house. It was tricky work, and they did a great job. The crew cleaned up carefully, and by the time there were finished removing the trees at 4pm there was barely any sign they had been there. The stump grinding was postponed because my yard was muddy, and Tysons was concerned rolling the 5,000lb stump grinder to the back yard would damage the lawn. Tysons will be back when the ground is firmer to finish. All in all, Tysons did great work on a very quick timeline for a reasonable price. Highly recommend using them (two of my neighbors already asked for Mark's number).

Returned initial call within 24 hrs, had an appraiser out within 72 hrs, then contracted, scheduled, and pruned all within a week's time. I just had to sit back and watch in awe how good these guys were. Highly recommend and will use again.

Tyson's did an excellent job from start to finish. The crane makes the work go faster and looks safer for the workers. Some delays to the starting date were unavoidable because of rainy weather, but once they came out they worked very quickly to remove the trees. Our large trees were all oaks that were 15-25 feet from the house in a heavily wooded back yard. They also went above and beyond by removing some wood left from a prior tree service and fixing damage that the other workers did to surrounding trees. Tyson's cleaned the yard very well and there was no damage (again, unlike the other tree service we hired this summer, which was a horrible experience). Our neighbors also hired Tyson's recently and had a great experience, so between that, their use of a crane, and the reasonable price, it was an easy decision. So glad we went with them. I can't recommend them enough. They are our new go-to tree company now.

The estimate process was easy; they were extremely competitive - beat all other estimates. Service was timely but initially they did not remove the ivy/vines as discussed with the person who provided me with the estimate. When I called to follow up immediately after service was performed, I was told that they cut the roots and preferred to wait until the ivy died before removing it from the tree. They performed job in winter and I was told they could come back in the spring to follow up and remove the ivy then. I called in early May because the ivy/vines did not die (in fact, seemed to come back more lush) and initially was told that my original order did not mention the ivy. But I reminded them of our conversation and they did send a crew out to remove the ivy/vines - so I really appreciated that. I just learned to make sure the contract is VERY specific.

We had used Tysons before and were pleased with them, but this was such a big job we decided to get three estimates. Starting with Chris, the arborist who came to our house, the experience was great. He explained how they would do the job and left a written estimate. On the day of the work Tysons arrived with a crew of seven led by Cesar, a crane, a chipper, and two trucks to haul the wood. The job was done quickly, safely and professionally. Chris stopped by mid-way to check on things. The stump grinding also took place the same day and was was well done. Cleanup of our yard was excellent. The price was fair and right in the middle of the other two estimates we got. We’re very pleased with the service we got and will no doubt use Tysons in the future.

Wonderful! Tysons was on time, completed the work carefully and completely (very important when a 20' section of tree trunk is hauled over your house by crane). The crew worked quickly, checked in with me if they were not sure about something, and cleaned up carefully at the end.

Went awesome. Chris of Tyson's Tree submitted my permit to the city and got it approved without me having to pay anything. The day it got approved, Chris was ready to do the work and the trees came down about 2 days later. They cleaned everything up and his crew displayed exceptional professionalism. I saved an incredible amount of money by going with Tyson's. I was impressed all across the board and have already recommended them to two friends.

It went well. Tyson's quote was thousands under the next best quote, I suspect because they had the cranes and heavy machinery in-house to remove two very big diseased trees on tricky, inclined spots on my property. On the day of the removal the crew arrived promptly and worked very quickly to get the job done. Tyson's arborist was also there early morning and before the crew left to make sure everything was done right. I was sad to have to remove these trees, but pleased with Tyson's service.

Went satisfactorily. Trunk removal was completed over two days. Awkward location required chainsawing trunks into chunks on site for sectional removal by crane. Company decided to bring in the crane (they own several -- check their website) to avoid wheel-track damage to lawn. This was done at no extra charge even though the initial quotation had not specified crane removal. Stump could not be ground as scheduled because specialized grinder had broken down and required parts from Germany. Customer decided later to forego grinding and live with the (interesting) stump.

I think the price was very reasonable actually for cutting down a tree. Some places, they can charge you $3,000 to do that, and I thought that was a good price. It went fine. I'd give them an A for everything. It was starting the rainy season so they had some difficulty because it was raining and raining. So they didn't come when they originally said they were, but I don't know if that's their fault. So I'll give them an A on everything; they were fine.

The crew arrived promptly, were very professional and cleaned up all the debris. This is not the first time that we have used Tysons Tree Service and we have always been very pleased. We will have them come back in the fall to cut the remaining trees down that are dying and also trim up our Bradford Pear trees.

I couldn't be happier about the overall quality and professionalism of Tyson's Tree Company from fair pricing to the completion of the work. The work crew did a fantastic job and cleaned up before they left and our oak tree looks great! I plan on having Tyson's Tree Company do some additional work at my home in the future, including some stump grinding, and I highly recommend this company to all Angies List subscribers. I also like the fact that I was provided with straight forward and honest options regarding a large and healthy pine tree in our back yard that did not need to be cut down and removed.

AWESOME!!! Very professional, prompt, courteous, at a very reasonable price. They set up a huge crane in my driveway to take down the standing tree and load big sections of cut tree into a truck for hauling. Much safer than felling the tree. Chipped all the branches and hauled all the debris away. Raked the yard clean. If you have a big tree job, you really want someone who has the proper heavy equipment to do the job right. I got one other bid, but Tyson's was much less. Always check that your tree company has liability and workers comp insurance coverage - especially for big jobs.
