Tart Lumber

I needed a bathroom cabinet and wanted to use an independent company which has an interest in their customers, and TART is the best choice! I worked with Jason at the Design Center, he was so patient with my questions and how long it took to make my decisions, and very easy to work with. I will use TART again and highly recommend them. Thanks!

When I went to the company to purchase these products for my project I was very impressed with how helpful their whole team was in helping me gather my supplies. I was particularly impressed because they deal to primarily contractors and construction companies for bulk rates but they treated me as well as if I were in placing a bulk order for a large company.

It's been nine months since we ordered our cabinets with Tart Lumber and we still don't have everything we need to complete our kitchen. I know that everybody who remodels their kitchen has some problems with cabinets, but Tart Lumber has repeatedly made mistakes that have delayed our new kitchen by months and months. Just one example: we ordered a cabinet that sits over a wall oven. Tart Lumber ordered the wrong size--the cabinet was not deep enough--so they ordered a new one, but they ordered the wrong size again. They only got it right the third time--and because it took Greenfields four weeks to build a new cabinet, Tart Lumber's mistakes added two full months to the job (we can't finish installing the trim, etc., until all the cabinets are in). You can order your cabinets from any design showroom. I recommend that you choose somebody other than Tart Lumber.

I have dealt with Tart for over 35 years and never been disappointed with the service or the quality of the wood.  The lumber is always straight and stays that way (as opposed to the stuff from Home Depot and Lowes that bows and twists within days).  Though I have moved further west (Aldie) and it costs more for a delivery now, they will get all my lumber and millwork business for years to come.

- Salesman didn't seem to have ever installed a door, didn't know how to
guide me on how to measure, and was convined I had to have a custom
size door
- Salesman didn't listen - ordered wrong swing, didn't order screen
- 1st Delivery men were unprofessional
- Salesman continued to be arrogant and unapologetic
- Owner responded finally to email to set things right
- However I asked for another salesman, but was not not honored, thus owner didn't listen either
- Ordered another door - this time standard size - and hey - it fits!
- 2nd delivery men placed door in rear like I aksed - thank you
- Still awaiting refund in difference in cost from custom to standard size
Pending repsonse and resolution to this issue, I may improve or degrade the rating
Update - no leadership/follow-up from senior management nor salesman -
so downgraded grade to F. I'll be going to Lowe's for all my needs.

Tart Lumber and Tart Millwork are the same company. The general manager of Tart Millwork and his sub-contractor installer arrived and measured the countertop areas and discussed the wood finishing and sealing. The work was completed in about 10 days and installed to my satisfaction.

The end result was perfect. Thanks, Bruce, for all your help and patience as we selected the vanity and countertop, and then sought your help again with the mirror.
