Despite being provided a clear map of the common areas in the neighborhood that are to be cared for, Sunrise has routinely skipped entire sections and have required numerous phone calls and follow-up from the customer just to get the minimum service completed. There continue to be sections of the neighborhood that have not been touched or mulched. The work crews routinely stay for less than an hour and mow but do not attend to any of the other neighborhood requirements.
Our neighborhood switched contracts to get better service. We were willing to pay more for that service. Sunrise has charged us more and provided less.
"We are sorry to hear you haven't been pleased with our service Ms. Barker. As of May 2015, Sunrise is still doing the work for your community. Our account manager has been in contact with Mr. Edison, and the Chadds Ford HOA board and have been told everyone is happy with the work Sunrise has been doing. Should you have any questions about the parameters of the work Sunrise has been contracted to complete please touch base with your HOA. Should there be work you feel needs to be done to the common area that is not part of the contract you could bring that up at the next HOA meeting. If there are any questions we can answer for you in the meantime, please don't hesitate to give us a call. Customer satisfaction is one of our top priorities!"
One last thing I failed to mention above was that Peter also drafted a letter and provided pictures to my HOA that enabled me to get approval to make the dramatic changes in the front of the house, including removing a tree that had been butched by the prior owner of the house.
5/18/13 update. With respect to the Company's response all I can say is thanks for getting my Spring cleanup done in the Spring.
"We regret that you are unhappy with our service. We do have on record that someone spoke with you on April 23rd to schedule your Spring Clean up and you requested it be finished by Memorial Day, May 27th. According to our records we have completed the clean up and today is May 14th. Regarding the late start, all I can say is we are a victim of Mother Nature. Seeing as we had snow on March 25th the grass really wasn't growing. Then we had the 3 days of 90's and had a growth explosion the 2nd week of April. We are doing our best to get everyone caught up and hope you can look to the previous 7 years you've been with us and remember all the good we have done for you. We hope over the next 6 months we are able to regain your faith in Sunrise as we try meet and exceed your expectations."

"We regret that this client was not happy with our service. We looked through our records that pertain to this property and found that the only service the client contracted with Sunrise for was mowing. Unfortunately, if we are only mowing it is in the hands of the homeowner to to apply the lime, fertilization, seed, weed control and aerate in order to keep the lawn in the pristine shape that is our standard. We also have no record of the client calling and asking us to start at a later time. Had we known we would have been more than happy to work with him to find a better time. We hope they have found someone to meet their needs and, as mentioned, will be in the neighborhood so please give us a call if we can be of service in the future."
"According to our records a project manager came out to your house to give you an estimate to plant some shrubs you had purchased and to do some weeding and clean up some beds. He sent you a proposal on 8/5 with an estimate of $480. According to our contact manager where we record all phone messages we have no record of you calling after the proposal was sent. That is not to say you didn't call but somehow I suppose wires were crossed. We regret your needs were not met by Sunrise. Thank you for letting us know."
"We regret that you were not happy with our service. Our designer did come out to give you an estimate but once on your property and after he got a good look at the scope of the project he discovered there was more work needed than you originally thought. There were drainage issues that would have been needed to be addressed in order to build you a patio that wouldn't sink. In order to give you a proper estimate and a professional plan approx 4 hours of the designers time would have been required. This would included taking measurements. Shooting grades to map out the landscape for proper drainage and so on. I hope whoever you ended up using did take the time to plan things out for you so that you ended up with a solid project. Typically the fee can be credited back into the job if you choose to use Sunrise's plan."
