It went very smoothly from start to finish.  I am a realtor who does over 15 transactions per year and I have many experiences with several Title Companies . The buyer always chooses to the Title Company .  In this case I was representing the seller so the buyer chose to use Stockman Title .  I was not sure since I did not recognize the name at first but I was surprised at their fantastic service from start to finish.  I called to introduce myself as the listing agent and to confirm they received all the documents from the purchaser.  Steve Stockman picked up the phone that day and was very friendly, helpful and just fun to talk to.  
They did a fantastic job of remaining neutral throughout the process .  When it came time to close, this particular seller needed his funds asap, could not receive a wire transfer and his car was not working so he could not drive to their office but asked if they could just call him when the check was ready so he could walk in to the office to pick it up.   As soon as the buyer signed all the documents on a Friday afternoon,  Stockman Title quickly ran to record the transaction at the courthouse then hand delivered the check my seller  in person to his home address.  Who does that?  Apparently Stockman Title Does that!  I was surprised that they stepped up to the plate to help out my client by hand delivering the funds.

Mr. Stockman guided me through purchasing 2 lots for cash, drew up the transfer of sale deed and Hud-1, did the title search, and recorded the sale. He explained the title search process, he clarified ways I could save money, he explained the laws, and he returned all my calls immediately. I have recommended him to our neighbor recently. From the first time I called Steve, he always listened well to my questions and guided my through the contract and closing.  I wish I had engaged him earlier in the process of my for-sale-by-owner transaction.  Closing was smooth.  All charges were clearly explained and discussed in advance.

Settlement went fine, Steve explained all the paperwork and conducted the proceedings efficiently. A few days after closing, I had a problem with the loan on my new home and needed some documentation for a discrepancy in the paperwork. Steve promptly called and asked what I needed. Within a few hours, he provided the documentation I needed. Steve did not charge me for the extra effort. Highly recommended.

Stockman Title is great and I highly recommend them!  They helped me with a purchase of a FSBO, and they made everything so easy.  They have a great tool on their website to estimate costs, and it was right on the money (Their fees were only $425 + Title Insurance).  I was able to email Mandy several times with questions, and she was always quick to respond and very helpful!  Mr. Stockman reviewed all the purchase documents as I was working with the seller to negotiate a ratified contract.  I can't say enough good things about the people at this company!
