They have been my veterinary hospital since 1975. I like the vet. He took over the practice a few years ago. I just liked the type of person he is and how he handles everything.

I've been taking my pets to this particular animal hospital since 1975 and have always received outstanding service and care for my pets.  The procedures performed on this visit are routine ones that I have done.  As with all of my appointments, things went smoothly.  I was seen on time and my pet received excellent care.

Picking a vet is like picking your family doctor. I was not comfortable with this place and have returned my pets to their previous vet which is not as conveniently located. I have several complaints. Individually, they're not much, but together they add up. For starters, the place looks and feels dirty. Walk into the lobby and look up at the air ducts - white ducts are black from years of neglect. Not what I expect from a and quot;hospital.and quot; The smell of this place is also strong. They have a lot going on with grooming service, boarding, and veterinary service but combined with the sight of the air ducts it becomes a repugnant smell. That alone should have been a deal breaker for me, but I stuck with them. Poor service was the final straw for me. I waited in the lobby for 15 minutes, unacknowledged, to pick up my cat. There was no body around to assist me and no bell to ring. The vet was seeing a patient, which is understandable, but where is the receptionist and/or assistants? They also tend to hire young, inexperienced staff. The doctor had to explain to his assistant how to hold my cat so he could give a shot. Considering the cost is comparable to other vets in the area it was an easy decision to return my pets to their previous vet clinic.

The process was clearly defined up front and scheduling was quick and easy. After surgery, I was kept apprised of my cat's progress. I picked him up the next day. There were no complications.

I was so pleased that I wanted to share a little about my visit to Sterling Park Animal Hospital: I came home from work to find my dog Mason had vomited at least 5 times and was lying on the ground panting heavily. Of course I freaked out considering he is like my child. I called my regular vet who told me they were "too busy to see me today". I then called Sterling Park Animal Hospital which is farther away from my house then my normal vet. I told them what was going on and they told me to come in right away. I was pleased that they were so understanding and accommodating. When I got there, I waited a few minutes but was taken back to see Dr. Easton almost immediately. After examining my dog they told me that they would need to do x-rays because his stomach was painful to the touch. When he showed me the x-rays I could see that he clearly had something in his stomach that shouldn't of been there. That night they did surgery and removed my daughters sock and underwear!!! Mason ended up having a intestinal blockage! I am SO thankful that DR. EASTON SAVED MASONS LIFE... I did have a large bill at the end but after reviewing it closely the charges were legitimate, necessary, and not over priced at all. And anyways... the love and bond that Mason and I share is priceless. Needless to say... I have switched all my pets to this practice and would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a veterinarian and staff that really cares about there patients and clients!!

Visit was like all of the other visits I have experienced over my 37 years of dealing with Sterling Park Animal Hospital. I have found the current vet, Dr. Charles Eastin, to be as caring and experienced as the previous vet, Dr. Donald Cohen. All of my pets have received excellent care and I have always been given detailed feedback regarding whatever procedure was performed or needed to be performed. I understand that price can be an issue but I also understand that nothing is cheap today. When I compare what I pay this vet to what I have paid out to a 24 hour emergency hospital for two to three days of care they are by far much cheaper. I have never had a problem with staff members; they are all very pleasant and helpful. The facility (waiting room area and examining room area) are always neat and clean.

I don't go there anymore because they were a little pricey and not that helpful with keeping costs down. There were times when I felt like they tried to add things that werent necessary just to make more money. The office was clean. The price for teeth cleaning is astronomical.

It was awful. They actually sent us a sympathy card. I was really impressed. The place does not stink and I really like that. It does have that the typical smell of a vet, but it does not stink and there’s no hair flying around. They have a separate kennel where you can leave the dog a couple of days for boarding. The overall experience was very nice. The veterinarians are great. We have always seen Dr Cohen. He’s an older man, probably in his fifties and I feel comfortable with that. He comes in and actually holds my dog. He tells me what to do. I’ve had my Chihuahua for fifteen years. I kind of know but it’s still nice to see him come in and hold my dog. He’s also very friendly. He asks questions like where you work and what you do. He’s very professional and very attentive. He can’t spend lots of time, but he’ll sit there if I have a concern. He takes very good care of my dog. I have never seen my dog traumatized. He’s been taking care of dogs for a long time. If you have younger vets they know the latest and greatest techniques, but I still feel more comfortable with going with a mature and experienced veterinarian. He’s very experienced and he seems to care about the animals when you bring them in. He talks to the dogs. The staff is great and most of them are young women. They are very nice and when I take my dog they pass nice comments. I had a three pound Chihuahua, and I’m not sharing her with any of those. They were very helpful. They are costly and pretty expensive. The price is definitely high. The quality is excellent. They are very responsive. I can call them right now and they would take me right in. They are great. I would use their services again in the future.
