STATZ STONE & STRUCTURE

Statz Stone & Structure designed & constructed an outdoor environment, built around a spa constructed by pool & spa company NVblu. Our design challenge to Statz Stone & Structure: Carve into the hillside, build a space that acknowledges the 1951 home, embrace the 50's Modernist aesthetic & keep everything in scale with the house. We also asked for an outdoor fireplace & cook station area. Statz Stone & Structure has an amazing design team. They took our "scribbles," visual goals, and must haves & blended their experience, skill & vision to create a unique outdoor environment for us. The owner, Matt Statz has a working knowledge of design principles, paired with an incredible intuition & respect for space & scale. Our project is a Modernist, 50's design in Matt's hands, a project could begin with any point of view. Statz Stone & Structure has a team of project managers that are terrific problem-solvers. Throughout our project we saw each step approached with an ideal combination of: common sense paired with a true understanding of the overall design plan & goals. Statz has extremely skilled masons we have been impressed with the level of work & skill their contributions to the project have been amazing. They take pride in their good work. The Statz carpenters on our project also contributed a high level of skill & workmanship. From design to build to finish: Matt & his team have been responsive, professional, & excellent communicators. The finish project is truly amazing. Forms have been built to be structurally sound and visually appealing. With Statz Stone & Structure it began with good design, stayed on mark with common-sense project management, was executed by skilled craftsmen, and under Matt Statz's careful eye for detail & design we ended up with a beautiful outdoor environment. Matt respected the process & let the materials & space guide what became a harmonious design & end product.
