RRT :: Performance, Tuning and Maintenance

Alex was great in helping diagnose what was wrong with my car and letting me know exactly what needed to be fixed. RRT also saw that my parking sensor had fallen off due to it not properly being repaired by a body shop. I contacted that body shop and they paid for the repair to the parking sensor. Alex was always in communication with what was found wrong with my car, what needed to be done, and when it would be ready. I couldn't ask for more.

RRT did another great job with my car. They found another issue overlooked by my previous mechanic in Manassas who was not a BMW specialist. The first time was broken trailing arms in the rear and this time was front end worn control arms. Changed the handling radically for the positive. RRT continues to serve my old BMW well and I have more confidence in them than I've had in a shop in a very long time.

I have worked on all types of cars quite capably for over 50 years. On this particular BMW I spent the better part of 3 days trying to replace the alternator that was nearly impossible to disconnect and remove. Based on multiple reviews of Road Race Technologies (RRT), I took my car to them, thinking I would be there better than half my day. I was very surprised when the repair took only about 1.5 hours. The bill for services was slightly less than the estimate I was initially given. The employees were very cordial and clearly knew what they were doing. During my visit I asked numerous questions and they answered all of them so well that I will not hesitate to return there in the future. The entire facility was well equipped with a very comfortable waiting area, a canteen, and a work area with free WI-FI. The place was spotless. RRT just became my GO-TO auto repair shop.

Their customer communication is excellent! Alex is on top of things and a pleasure to deal with.

I showed up on a Sunday with my car on the back of a tow truck and was lucky enough to find someone there willing to take my car in for a look. I have a 2008 BMW 535xi with about 100,000 miles on it. RRT promptly followed-up with me the following day, diagnosed the problem, and clearly explained the services they believed necessary to get my car back on the road. They priced out each service and assigned each a priority level. Though I am not a and quot;car guy,and quot; as an attorney I am naturally rather skeptical and cynical. I've found everyone at RRT quite credible. The service was completed on-time, they took my payment over the phone and were willing to stay open a bit late to give me time to pick it up. I have used RRT on two previous occasions. Both were successful and significantly cheaper than the dealership. My experience with RRT was good enough for me to refer my boss/friend to them. His experiences matched mine.

Fantastic job, took photos along the way during repair, explained the repair in detail so I fully understood the hows and whys of the repair. They know BMW like nobody else in the area including the dealer. Went to them by word of mouth in the M3 community, car is solid as a rock now, very happy.

After talking with a number of BMW shops, I went with RRT based on the recomendation of a member of the BMW Club of NOVA, and my conversations with the Service Manager (MIchael). Although I was looking for a transmission service, the decision of whether to power flush or drain and fill my SMG (hybrid) gearbox was weighing heavily on my mind. I was not sold on the flush concept over concerns of possible damage to my trans (many people have told me of post-flush failures/problems). The SMG trans costs approx. $8K to replace and typically cannot be repaired. Mike advised that RRT never flushed due to the possability of loosened material damaging the trans, and damaging seals. He noted that regular fluid changes were much safer and would maintain the life of the trans with significantly less risk. Given their BMW racing pedigree, I found his recommendation most credible. A nice bonus was the very reasonable price, a free vehicle material condition inspection, and lubrication of my window seals to eliminate an annoying rattle. Mike is very pleasant to deal with and enjoys explaining every detail you care to ask about. They are located a bit far out, but very much worth the mild inconvenience given the cost of maintaining/repairing a BMW.

This company performed a pre-purchase inspection in which they falisfied the data. It was not a question of quality or "judgement calls", but simply reporting false findings in order to improperly influence the sale of a car. This speaks to their honesty and intergrity, or lack thereof.

Service went well. They were responsive and courteous and always answered the telephone. They took the time to fully answer my questions and the car was ready when they said it would be.

I have been very happy with the company's work and with the way they have been treating us. I consider the quality of their work to be very good and I will definitely be using them again in the future for any other jobs.
