He never called me. When I called him on Friday, he told me he was having trouble finding wheels. I reminded him I needed the case for a trip by Thursday. He assured me he'd have it done and he'd call. Later in the week, when I got no call, I drove to the store, 20 minutes each way. His wife was there and said he was at home and, after looking, she said the bag must be there too. So I couldn't take it. I had to drive out again on Saturday after calling to be sure the bag was there. He said it was fixed. He had put on
two wheels that didn't match the bag's other wheels, one of which wasn't even the right color. He told me he couldn't find the right wheels anywhere, but hadn't called to ask me about using used and incorrect materials.
I told him I wouldn't pay for the work done as delivered, and he accepted that. (One of the wheels he had attached actually fallen off at the end of trip.) Totally unprofessional work and communication. It cost me a lot of time and frustration. I suggest you delete the outstanding rating in the list which I relied on when I used this business. PS - work ticket was for Sterling Shoeand Leather Repair, not Red Wing Shoeand Luggage. Maybe that's why I couldn't find him on the BBB site. The very worst of a service business.

RW told us it they could repair the bag and provided an estimate which was in line with what I had expected. They said it would take about a week. They called in 5 days and said it was ready. We are happy to have our most practical bag back in service!

Greta job and prompt service. Dropped the shoes off on Friday and, even thought they were closed, I got a call on Sunday telling me they were done and could be picked up on Monday.

My favorite Kenneth Cole briefcase handle had worn and torn away from the case part. I took it to this business because they repair leather. From the time I walked in to the time I picked up my fixed brief case, I was very pleased with the service. They repaired the brief case handle by adding the same color material and sewing it very nicely to reconnect it to the rest of the case. I received a claim check before I left and was contacted when the work was done 7 days later. You can barely tell the a repair was done it looks so good!
