I used Northwood Construction to do several simultaneous remodeling jobs in my house. They did my kitchen, guest bathroom, powder room, and fireplace. I could not be happier with the work they performed. On a scale of 1-10, this company is a 20! From the very beginning of the process, Bob the owner takes the time to listen to what you want. The sketches of the work to be provided were easily revised with changes I wanted to make. Then Bob went with me to pick out the granite, appliances, tiles, plumbing fixtures … you name it! He gave his expertise on my selections which helped me make more informed choices. When the work began, my project manager Morgan really brought my vision to life. His work was impeccable! As a perfectionist, even I couldn’t find flaws. He was friendly, professional, punctual, and always just a text away. He even sent me photos of my project while I was out of town so I could see the progress! Any time I had a question, all I had to do was text or leave a note and it was instantly addressed. My project finished on time and on budget. I feel like I’m now living in a model home! If you are looking for a highly-responsive and impeccably skilled company, look no further. Northwood Construction will be the best decision you make in your remodeling journey!

Don and Chris started and finished all work exactly as they said they would, cleaned up the work site better than it was when work began, and the final price was exactly the price quoted (which we already knew was a good, competitive price). We felt that everyone at Northwood put us first in designing, scheduling, and completing the work – and we could not be happier. We’re so impressed with Northwood that we want them to convert our carport into a garage – a project we’ve put off for years. We look forward to working with Bob and the crew to finalize the garage design (I never thought I’d ever say that about a construction company)!

2013 - roof and gutters: Northwood Construction did an excellent job, giving us a fair price with contingencies spelled out and prices noted. Some of the plywood underlayment in the attic had to be replaced, but it was impossible to determine exactly how much until the workers removed the old roof. We knew what the basic cost was and what the upper cost might be, depending on how much plywood had to be replaced. We purchased deep gutters and screens, they are working very well.
1993-94: Northwood did a major renovation for us in 1993-94, and the quality of their work held up over the ensuing 20+ years that we owned the home (we just sold it in October 2014). Going through our files, I found the correspondence between us and Northwood's owner, Bob Benedict, as we planned the major renovation. He worked patiently with us, explaining various cost options and re-working their bid. We were thrilled with the result and lived happily in the house for many years. We wouldn't hesitate to work with Bob and his crew again. Many of the crew members who worked on our home decades ago are still with Northwood - that's a very good sign of a company that treats its people and its customers well.

We were very pleased with them. They did a very good job with the drywall. We were very pleased with the drywall. They finished on time and did everything they said they were going to do. They were easy to work with. They had a project manager on site every day. The only downside was that it was pretty expensive. They did excellent work but they were a little pricey.

Northwood is just the best. They worked with us to refine the design of the remodeling and help shape the project so that we spent what we wanted to spend. We made some changes along the way, but all extra cost was our doing, our decision to make a change. Unexpected things -- always happens in large projects -- were handled and were never used as an excuse for extra cost. The work was done on schedule. One hears ridiculous stories about jobs that stretch for months past the estimate times. Small delays came from some equipment delivery delays and from subcontractor schedules, but these were very minor. Northwood's people are wonderful. They were very professional and enjoyable to work with. Their subcontractors were completely supervised by the lead on the job. All the details (permits, etc) were attended to and all questions answered in detail -- I learned lots working with them. The company culture is one that respects the client and emphasizes good quality work.

He is still doing things in our neighborhood. The house across the street has had a big project done, and they are happy with him. We still keep in contact with him. I still say that his work is the caliber that it was when he worked for us. I just recommended him to my daughter.

We have been extremely pleased with all the jobs Northwood Construction has completed for us. From start to finish, Northwood is a class act, providing excellent service and work. We have highly recommended them over the last 9 years and will continue to do so!

We didn't use them. The bid was between $20000.00 and $25000.00 and included a vanity, a toilet, and a shower. To me the bid was too high so we didn't go with them. The owner was very pleasant and polite. He even showed us a portfolio of their work. We were getting ready to put our house in the market. I felt it was too high just for an extra bathroom that we wouldn't have used. We were just finishing it for the purpose of trying to sell our house quicker. We probably would not use the company again in the future.

It was a very good experience. Their prices were not low, but reasonable. They had someone conducting oversight and because it was a general contractor, they weren't always employees, so that was important.

The contractors did a very good work. They were excellent with their work mainly carpentry, painting and evaluation of what needs to be done; how to go about it. We had them do the kitchens and bathrooms. I had some things that had to be done around the house and wanted them changed from the very beginning. They removed the asbestos ceiling through a known sub contractor as they didn't do it themselves. Their prices were a little high but they were competitive from other contractors. They are rated best in the market.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB. WE WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE OUTCOME. THE WORKERS WORKED HARD AND AT A FAST PACE. THEY WERE VERY PUNCTUAL AND PROFESSIONAL. I WOULD GLADLY REFER THEM AND USE THEM AGAIN.

THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME, ITS A SMALL COMPANY, THE PRICE IS NOT THE CHEAPEST, BUT THE WORK IS VERY GOOD. HE HAS AN EYE FOR AESTHETICS, AND HE STICKS TO HIS SCHEDULE AND TIMELINE.
