My three cushion leather sofa had a rip on the right arm, and the three head cushions were stained with sweat. They did an excellent job of replacing the leather on the arm and back cushions. The leather matches my loveseat and chair. They also cleaned and cushioned the two matching pieces. My leather furniture looks almost like new. The men delivering the sofa and then who cleaned the matching pieces were very professional, kind, and helped relocate moved furniture.

Metro Leather Furniture Restoration sent two repairmen?Eddie and Christian-- to our home to repair a sofa and chair. To paraphrase a line from the movie ?Jerry McGuire? they had us at hello. We?ve had a good amount of work done in our home over the last year so it was refreshing to have people arrive on time, pleasantly introduce themselves, and do everything possible to do the job right. When Mike came out to do our estimate about a month earlier we explained that we wanted to have the sofa and chair repaired only if the pieces could be relocated to the rec room. Within minutes of arriving at our home, Eddie and Christian carefully moved our 96-inch sofa to our downstairs rec room, without damaging anything in our home. The 13-year old furniture suffered from a broken frame and loose webbing and the chair needed rewebbing as well. After each piece was repaired and reassembled we were encouraged to try the pieces to see if the improvements matched our expectations. My husband asked to have foam added to the back of each piece to increase lumbar support and the repairmen accommodated his request. Overall, we are pleased with the result. While the estimate Mike provided was fairly accurate we wish that the repairmen had arrived with the materials needed to provide extra cushioning to the seats because more than rewebbing was needed for comfort. However, we will schedule that work for later. I would use Metro Leather Furniture Restoration again and I would recommend them to others.

After 40 some years of use our captain's chairs that we use at our game table were showing their age. The leather was cracked and the brass tacks were tarnished. Metro Leather had a good selection of leathers to choose from and the job only took 3-4 weeks to complete. The owner could not have been nicer and more helpful. It was well worth the price. Our chairs now look like they came out of the showroom. They even touched up the scratches on the legs and the brass tacks look like new. The seats also had some extra padding added. Expensive but worth the price. I would definitely use them again.

I contacted Metro Leather and Bill responded immediately. I was able to send photos of the chair and get an estimate via email. After agreeing to the terms, Mike set up an appointment to pick up the chair. We could have brought in the chair ourselves, but it was very heavy, thus we paid for the pickup and delivery service. Mike confirmed that the deterioration of the leather was caused by head oil and suggested a flap of leather to bring down over the headrest. This flap can be tossed back to reveal the repaired headrest. If the flap is damaged, just the flap would need replacement. We were very happy with the quick response time - my husband went out of town for two weeks the day after his "throne" left for repair and it was waiting for him when he returned. His chair has been restored like new and Metro Leather was able to extend the life of the existing chair.

I was really taken aback by the estimate but was told they would look brand new and that it would be cheaper than buying them brand new. Without researching, I took these people at their word. When I first got the sample dyed cushion to approve for color , I was surprised at the mottled "dirty " uneven color. I was told this was due to it being two-toned dye instead of one color. They worked with me on this and even sent their dyer to my home to "fix" the color in the light of the room where it sits. SO, I give them an A for trying to please me. I also found a section of the couch that had not been cleaned under the cushion which I had to vacuum out . This made me wonder about the amount of care taken with the job. In the end, the couch and chair looked unstained and more even in color . It retained the creases in the leather (I was told that couldn't be helped without putting in new leather) . I'm happy that my couch and chair are no longer stained and that they have a nice color. I'm also glad it's no longer aniline but has a stain-resistant finish. I'm not sure I was given the best price. My expectations were higher given the price and the before after photos on their website and the much lower prices quoted here in reviews for more extensive work done. I'd be happier had I gotten other estimates to be sure this was a fair price. The final photo with no cushions, etc. is how it looks after coming to my home and fixing the uneven color. I didn't include the armchair because the lighting in the room didn't do it justice . I would hire them again if their estimate is in line with a comparable competitor.

The estimate process with Mike and the two guys who later came onsite to do the work were all great.  Onsite guys were efficient and did an outstanding job.  Scheduling was quite simple and was within a week, though when calling their office sometimes getting someone on the phone was a bit of a challenge. This is forgivable since this is a small business who does onsite work and are often out of the office, and calls were always promptly returned.
Only thing that caught me off guard was when they asked for a check at the conclusion of the onsite work vs billing after the fact or up front.  Credit cards were not offered as an option, even though they are listed in Angie's List profile as being accepted.  This could also have been an oversight on my part because I never asked about it, but it was surprising in today's digital age that a check was the only option offered.

We had a great experience.  Mike Weller came out on a service call to give us an assessment of our couch set - a set that's over 25 years old and was showing its age.  Mike was extremely knowledgeable and helped us to make a tough financial decision - fix the current set or buy a new one.  Were looking at around the same cost either way but Mike took the time to explain to us how well built our current set was.  Decided to go with the re-upholster and we made the right decision.  It looks brand new!  Better than when it was handed down to us by family over a decade ago.  Mike and his team were on time for the pick up and the delivery of the couches once they were finished.  Highly recommend these guys - very honest, and do great work.

This was my second time using Metro Leather for a couch cushion.  These guys do quite an amazing job, and the leather not only matched from a color perspective, but was better quality than the original leather.

Even my wife was happy with the work, and she is very tough to please.

For this kind of work, Metro Leather are the guys I'll use.

We have a leather couch that is analine leather. Apparently Metro Leather is one of the few shops that do this kind of work. There was another one that could have done it, but we were out of their service area. The technician was able to make the repair and blend the color so well that 4 months later, I am unable to tell where exactly the rip was. Very professional, did what they said they would do and did it well. This work was not cheap, but it beats buying a new couch.

My husband went with me to pick up an item at Metro Leather, and wondered if they could fix the stained leather on his car seats. Once he saw the shop, he remembered they had done excellent work for him in the past, so scheduled his car's repair.  The repair was done in a couple of hours and it looks like new.  We are very happy with Metro's work and their courteous customer service.

Item was brought into shop on 4/1/15 and ready by 4/3/15.  I didn't know which type of service would be able to repair the bellows, but contacted Metro via email first and they said it could be fixed.  They did a great job and were responsive and cordial.

Mike Weller emailed me back very quickly with a very detailed description of what they would have to do and how much it would cost and also that there are limitations due to the way the piece is damaged. The price was very fair, but I decided to get a new one instead.
I first found out about this company many years ago when I was an insurance adjuster. They do great work. They are fair and honest.

I have used Metro Leather multiple times & each time they have cleaned, conditioned & restored the finish on my 2 sofas to perfection. While they are expensive, replacing the sofas would be more so. They are worth every penny.

Dory worked on the same sofa both times (I didn't know about Angie's list the first time or I would have given an A++++ for that one as well since that was a many times worse the damage).  Both times, Dory transformed the sofa back into new condition.  If anybody out there is thinking their cat scratch damage is hopeless, do not despair - call Metro.
