The work itself was a bit spotty and not done exactly the way I had asked. The cleaners were absolutely nice and courteous.
To improve, I think they need to improve on how to take care of floors..
"We started servicing the [Member Name Removed] home in June of 2015. All of the sudden in July (all in one month) of 2016 several different types of damages happened through out the home. First was the oven knob to the stove. We purchased and replaced a new knob for the [Member Name Removed]. We also offered to repair and/or replace the mirror hanging wire and D ring, and the jewelry box as well. We were told not to worry about it. Then the kitchen countertop was brought to my attention. I personally went to look at the counter. I stated to Mrs. [Member Name Removed] the damage done to the countertop surface did not appear to me to have been caused by my staff. However, I told her if she provided me with information of where the counter was purchased and what kind of countertop surface it was, I could look into the possibility of buffing out the scratches. We finally received a photo of the countertop brochure and where it was purchased. We contacted Home Depot. They requested for a picture of the damage. Mrs. [Member Name Removed] sent us a picture. After sending all the required information Home Depot needed, they advised us it did not appear the damage could have been done from cleaning. We decided to contact other countertop companies for more opinions. We contacted the Granite Center and The Countertop Guru. They both had the same opinion; the damage could not have been done from a sponge or towel. We even asked, "what if a Brillo pad was used with Comet?" Again, we were told the type of scratches on the countertop could have not been done from cleaning. Some sort of sharp object; like a knife, was used on the countertop without any protection underneath (cutting board). I forwarded the emails Home Depot and the Granite Center sent to us to Mrs. [Member Name Removed]. The Countertop Guru offered to go and personally speak to Mrs. [Member Name Removed] about it. She refused to schedule an appointment with him. I do not believe a company should pay for any damage which was not done by that company."
The house cleaners are very courteous and show attention to detail. Cleanings were well done at first, but we noticed a drop in precision as time wore on. Nevertheless the cleaners would quickly address our concerns when we raised them. As we were told by the owner, it is best to ensure you have the same cleaning crew each time you schedule a cleaning so they learn your home and what is expected. It is not advisable to change appointments without ensuring you get the same team that services your home on a regular basis. You receive a 24-hour notice via phone or e-mail prior to your cleaning so you can prepare. Same-day cancellations and reschedules result in a $25.00 fee.
Payment is easy via credit card online.
On this occasion I assume the cleaning went well (i.e., no complaints from my new tenants).
However, on this job the original invoice I received was for $300.00, not the $150.00 for the cleaning.
Because the cleaners were unable to access the unit they were forced to return. In fairness I was okay with
paying for their additional travel time, although the one hour and 20 minute additional charge seemed excessive.
I was also asked to pay for a 40 minute wait period while they attempted to contact me. I never approved the waiting on the first visit, and honestly believed the charge for waiting was unfair.
I called Liza to explain my concerns but agreed nonetheless to pay $250.00, which I believed was more than fair.
Days after the check was mailed, Carla, the owner sent me an email to say she was reducing the charge to accommodate my concerns.
I thought the issue was settled, but yesterday I received another email from Carla saying I owed another $12.50?
Today I called M & WR Cleaning (Liza) to say I considered the issue closed. She agreed.
FUTURE: Although I will continue to use M & WR to clean my rental units, I strongly recommend the others work out the details of what will be charged for "travel time", and "wait time " if appropriate.

We do have a Broken Appointment Fee for clients which forget to leave a key, the door unlocked, etc., and we are not able to gain access to the home. In your case when the crew arrived the front desk denied access because our name was not on their vendor list for your unit for that day. Liza did ask the crew to wait while she contacted you and the front desk. After the crew waited for 30 minutes and still no response from you or the front desk the crew was asked to leave. By the time you called the crew was on the toll road passing the Herndon exit. You and Liza spoke and it was understood the cleaning needed to be done by Monday. Since we were already booked Monday (and we do not operate weekends), you offered to pay their travel time. Liza asked the crew to turn around and go back to Arlington. The travel time from Sterling to Arlington can take over an hour one way depending on traffic. They essentially drove from Sterling to Arlington twice that day. Liza should have clarified what was necessary to charge and also marked the invoice as paid since our billing program automatically sends out unpaid invoices."
"Your feedback is greatly appreciated, [Member name removed]. While our residential cleaning products are green we do carry Heavy Duty cleaning products (industrial cleaners) for special projects. For window cleanings we do use a product which is much stronger than windex. We encourage our girls to ask for help when they feel something is too heavy or looks fragile. In regards to our carpet guy he may have felt there was no hope for the stain. Depending on what the stain is there is a chance it will not come up or even fade. He should of communicated if he felt this was the case but nonetheless he could of tried again."

We encourage to start with a Detailed Maid Service and then go right into a routine Basic Maid Service. We also recommend to schedule a Detailed Maid Service once a year. Scheduling a Detailed Service (After Construction/Renovation Cleaning) will remove excess debris and dust. Scheduling your routine service right after a Detailed Service is the best way to maintain your home. We appreciate your business very much, [member name removed]!"
"We appreciate your continued service [member name removed]. The quote for cleanings vary depending on the home. There is a lot which gets factor into generating a price. Since it is only 2 adults with no kids that alone brings the price down. Animals which live in home is also a big factor we consider, however yours are crated and that helps to reduce per dander and hair roaming the house."
The two ladies showed up 10 minutes early and, after discussing which rooms shouldn't be cleaned, promptly began working. They were extremely courteous and efficient. I believe they cleaned things that the previous service provider didn't clean in the same time.
"Thank you [Member Name Removed]. We do train all of our employees to work quick and efficient. They are all video trained for 2 hours and then have hands on training at our owners house. It is preferred for the home owner to show the crew the specifics of the cleaning if we are not able to come out and provide a FREE in home estimate. The more specific the client is with us on what they expect out of the cleaning, the easier it is for the crew to meet your expectations."

Just because all the rooms are not being cleaned doesn't mean it will take less time to clean. The kitchen and bathrooms usually take most of the time in a good cleaning. Two working together is always better than one. Two crew members have an advantage on one person because they are able to check each others work. We are happy you were pleased with the service even though our rate is higher than your regular service provider."
