Integrated Media Systems

I went to IMS knowing that I wanted a quality system for my soon-to-be retirement home that would not bust my budget, but frankly I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of options, information and opinions. Owner Tom Wells took the time to meet with me personally to determine my wants and budget, which were refined over the course of several weeks. It turned out that I didn't need some stuff that I thought I would, and there were other things Tom suggested that I was unaware of that made a whole lot of sense. Complicating the matter was the fact that the project house is located in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. It didn't matter. Tom came to the project site personally to check it out. After the gear was ordered and started coming in, his technicians made trips as necessary to fish wires and install a multi-room audio system and integrated everything with a couple of televisions, one of them a weatherproof outdoor model on a rolling stand to go along with the 8 satellite + sub-woofer exterior speaker package. I also got an upgraded wifi system and intelligent thermostats. All of this is unified with a user-friendly control system that even my technology-adverse wife can operate, remotely if necessary. I can't say enough how happy we are. The installation crews from IMSVA were polite and professional. Everything looks and sounds great. I have been waiting my whole life for a system like this, and Tom and his company did not let me down. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

They are great at assessing the situation and providing solutions quickly and efficiently. We are very pleased with them and would highly recommend.

It was very easy and pain free. We were given options, and we made selections based on our needs and uses. They converted our entire music library so that it can be easily accessed. They gave us an install date, and came and did all the work when scheduled. They are also very helpful, and easy to do business with. I can not say enough good things about them. Obviously, they were great the first time around, and even better the second.

We initially worked with Jay Pigeon to develop the design of the different electronics systems. He was very knowledgable of the various products and capabilities and designed a solution that would meet our needs and stay within budget. He also made a number of suggestions (that we implemented) that improved on our initial concepts for the basement. He prepared a detailed estimate for the work that was broken down into costs for individual materials and labor. All changes to the initial estimate were documented via change orders and approved by us.

Since the work was performed coincident with the finishing of the basement, the work activities were sequenced accordingly. Jay met with the remodeling contractor to identify specific requirements for electrical circuits, blocking to support equipment mounting, etc. After the basement was framed, the team installed the video cables and speaker wires that would be later used during equipment installation. Once the basement was completed, the team installed all of the equipment and then programmed the remotes. This aspect of the work was performed continuously without stopping. The installation crew was punctual, courteous, and professional. They knew their craft.

We're thrilled with the new theater. We absolutely love it and everything works perfectly. We especially like the universal remote controls that allow us to do all functions that used to take 4-5 remotes.
