Hogan & Sons Tire and Auto

Went in for yearly state car inspection and they came up with the repairs costing me $1400. I had done multi point inspection recently from my Toyota dealer and everything had passed. So no idea how they came up with these new repairs. I just got a feeling that they made money out of me just to certify my inspection. Stay away from this facility if you want to save your $$ The store manager is RUDE. He told me if I don’t get these repairs done, he will apply “Car inspection failed” sticker on my car. So I didn’t have any other option but to pay $1400. Stay away from these looters!!

When I got work done there, they were always nice and did a fine job. I'm pretty sure I had been overpaying for everything though. After the transmission quote, i don't think I would ever go back. They lost my trust.

I was pleased. They tried to fix it rather than telling us we had to replace it. It was a big screw close to the sidewall. They fixed it and it's still working. Great job !!

Good approach to the client needs and adequate inventory of tires to be able to match the tires I had on the car. The alignment and tire installation was done while I shopped in the neighboring stores which is very convenient.

There was one guy working at this shop that was nice, but everything else about this business was "Up-sell, up-sell, up-sell." We purchased new tires in advance of a funeral for a family member, knowing we'd be driving a long way and we had been told by a number of shops that our tired needed replacing. The initial mechanic I dealt with was reasonably helpful, explaining stuff, and filed out the promotional material for us to get a rebate. Nice enough effort. But on the mechanics of it all, and the professionalism of the rest of the staff, no. When the tires were installed and alignment was done, I spoke with another mechanic who talked to me with hardly any professionalism, handed me a long list of expensive tasks that they said needed doing (some of them having been done only months before by another shop). I was so suspicious about it all that I took their list to another auto shop that has a much higher rating on Angie's List, one with a really solid reputation, and they said, "These guys didn't spot stuff they should have, and they just handed you a list based on mileage, and we suggest redoing the alignment, etc." So, I can't recommend them. It's too bad with these shops; so short-sighted to use these tactics.

They are good, but not great. I've started to go back to the dealers, in fact. So they were okay. The price was multiple hundreds of dollars. They are fair and nothing wrong of them but I wasn’t so impressed. I think they are reasonably honest but I had better luck with the dealer in getting things fixed.

I loved it. They do what they are supposed to do. I thought the price was a little bit high.

After the inspection we decided that their quotes was very high compared to other places so we found another place to take our car regularly. They were very responsive. The issue was their prices and whether a repair was needed. They were always very nice and we always felt comfortable in their place. The first two times we went there, everything was fine and they were reasonable. Then we got a quote on brakes and decided to take it someplace else. It was a really different repair that was needed. We wouldn't recommend them.

Hogan and Sons did a great job removing a plug from my tire and doing a proper patch plug repair after doing a thorough tire inspection of a tire that was punctured with a piece of wood. Their customer service was great and very friendly. Richard even offered me a chance to purchase road hazard coverage for my tires even though they weren't purchased there (they were factory installs on new truck with less than 400 miles on them). I really appreciate their courtesy and recommend them for others looking for repairs.

Made an appointment several days beforehand. Brought the car in before the scheduled time. Did some errands nearby while they worked on the car. Car was ready when I returned, ahead of schedule. No actual charge because I had one of their "discount" cards where you pay a fee up front and then receive several oil changes free, as well as discounts on maintenance, etc. They suggested some BG services that I might want to think about, but weren't pushy. I had new tires put on the same vehicle at Hogan's about six months ago....they had the best price, even beat the internet sellers.

Called them up to determine pricing. They were able to match and setup an appt within a few hours of the initial phone call. They were very service oriented.
