DSC Home Inspections

After calling 12 different handymen and home inspectors, I finally found someone who could conduct a home inspection on our neighborhood for the Homeowners Association. I called the owner, David Jones, on a Thursday and explained that my homeowners board needed a certified home inspector to inspect the exterior of houses in my development for the annual discrepancy report. He said had heard of this before and would be able to come on Saturday to do the inspection. He only asked if I could walk around with him and it would probably take between two or three hours depending on the number of units. He said it would be $750 for the inspection and a formal report.
He arrived 15 minutes on Saturday and was ready to go. He used an iPad to record all his notes and take pictures as needed. He was very knowledgeable and is a certified home inspector in the State of Virginia for the past couple of years. I thought he was very thorough with every house and added any aesthetic discrepancies I noticed to his findings. After the inspection, he compiled the final report with his typed notes and included pictures and emailed it to me later that day. Overall, I was very pleased with his professionalism and quick turnaround on the final report. He is also a veteran.
