CHURCH ROAD CLEANERS

This was hard to rate because for the most part I WAS satisfied with their services.  That is, until they ruined a shirt and then I got to see their level of customer no-service.  Upon picking up my clothes I saw that one of my shirts had four little holes in it. It was clear what had caused it, the staple they use for the dry cleaning tag did not close all the way and the stapled snagged the fabric of my very delicate shirt. There were four holes all near the staple. I was upset because this was a brand new, really nice shirt that I could not replace. I returned to the store to explain the situation. I wasn't expecting much, I figured they'd be like my last dry cleaner and pay out a flat $10 for damaged items. That was not the case. The older lady, who I assume was the owner, told me in her very limited English that there was no way that happened there. They refused to even consider the fact that they ruined my shirt and told me I bought it that way.  In the end, I walked out with a holey shirt and no refund whatsoever... not even of the fee I paid to have my shirt ruined. I will never go back. They will do a fine job until you need a little customer-service. I will say that there is a younger guy who works there a lot (he is presumably her son) and he's really nice. He remembers everybody's phone number and name. I wish he would have been there because I bet he would have at least been nice about it. (that's why they got a C and not an F for professionalism) Also, their chemicals smell really strong. My work pants stink so bad that I have to spray them with fabreze and perfume. It doens't wear off quickly either. Maybe they stopped using the chemical PERC that's being outlawed and the new stuff STINKS!
