Is this deceptive advertising (two different prices at three different websites)? Is it a Brown's practice to offer a vehicle to potential buyers at different published prices and the buyer has the responsibility to search for there lowest PUBLISHED price? Also the cars.com website had the carfax report that the vehicle had been in an accident, ironic that neither one of the Brown's websites offered up that information.
"[removed member name], thanks for your excellent rating! We look very forward to seeing you again in the future! Sincerely, Aaron Spicer - General Manager"

However, I was not convinced with their explanation. and took the car to a trusted body shop. They opened up the wiring in the rear and found that there was a short, but it was not it the wiring of the hatch - they actually showed me that. It was somewhere further down. I paid the body shop $100 because they 1. found the exact problem 2. tried really hard to get to the problem - they worked on it for 3 days.
I have not repaired the short yet, since I could not leave the car for longer (I do not have a second car) and also since, luckily it has not affected any of the other systems yet.
On the plus side, Brow's Nissan did not charge me anything above the diagnostic charge of $120. I was also allowed to get a replacement vehicle for that day at no extra charge, but looking at the work the body shop guys did (effort and correct diagnosis), I would call Brown's Nissan a rip off.
They used to be a good company. If you had a big job, like mine at $1,400, then you could get your car inspected at no cost.
Not any more. Every dollar counts.
Take your car their expecting to double or triple the cost it should take.
