On one project, we ended up paying for two days of carpentry for something that should have taken a half day, so we felt like we were paying for on the job training. Since the charge is per hour, rather than per job, it's difficult to have a realistic estimate of how much a project will cost. On the plus side, he and his crew arrived on time and did a generally good job of cleaning up.
