Very smooth. Contractor was very fast, responsive, and worked clean. Hardly knew they were there and the roof looks beautiful.

Bill Augustine is a fine owner and contractor and can be counted on to do all he proposes.

They were prompt and delivered the materials one day prior to the scheduled work being done. The following day they were on site and ready to go first thing in the morning. I was very impressed with the quality of work. They also did my adjoining neighbor's roof...it all looks great

We got several estimate for a new roof. Augustine Roofing came in at a more reasonable price. Bill Augustine was very down to earth and up front about what to expect. We liked that! Their crew showed up on time and worked tirelessly until dark. They were very helpful with any questions we had. We are very happy with the work and our new roof!

Not too good. Had used this highly rated company in 2015 to address some repairs and was very satisfied. Called in June 2016 to get an estimate for this job. Owner came by (forgot his name) and we reviewed the job. Told me he would email an estimate. After a few weeks of nothing I emailed him to check on the status, still nothing. Called another company to do the job.

I couldn't ask for better results. The Employees were very courteous, meticulous and very responsible all through the process including an immaculate clean up. I will be using them again next year to replace my parents house.

The job went well. I received an initial estimate very soon after Mr. Augustine visited my home and the job started on the date that was promised. The crew worked hard, were professional and cleaned up carefully when they were finished. There was a slight delay in finishing the gutters but the owner offered me a nice discount to compensate for it. Mr. Augustine responded quickly to emails that I sent him as the job progressed which is the way I prefer to communicate.

Augustine and company exceeded my expectations. I reviewed seven proposals and selected Augustine based on the type of product they offered, their price and their ability to install the roof within 30 days or less of their quote they offered to me. The materials were delivered at the time proposed. The crew did a great job of removing the old roof and installing the new one all over a period of a little less than 3 days. The crew was extremely efficient in completing this job and the crew chief was responsive to all of my questions/concerns that I raised as the project was being completed. The company answered all of my questions regarding the materials that would be used and the manner in which they would be installed. And, they provided a crew that was obviously experienced in completing a project where the pitch was fairly steep in one area of the house. The ability to pay by credit card was an additional benefit offered by Augustine. The contractor did a 1st class job from the manner in which they proposed the bid through the completion and billing of the job.

Very well. This is a big purchase and being a widow, with no knowledge of roofing, I was a little nervous. I used Angie's list as well as Home Advisor to start my research of roofing companies and I also checked with the Better Business Bureau. I got 4 estimates, and chose Augustine based more on what their rep Iani did to educate me about roofing than price (although their price was very competitive). Tony, in the office, kept the lines of communication open. He was very responsive to my questions and very prompt in returning my calls or emails. I am satisfied that I made the right decision choosing Augustine Roofing and based on my experience with them I am confident they will stand by their workmanship should any problems arise.

Bill arrived promptly and he told me I do not need a new roof for another few years. Honest. I will likely call him when the time comes to really replace my roof.

The roofers arrived at approximately 9 am and they were done with the work around 430 pm. They were polite and professional throughout. The only negatives were that we were not told when they would be showing up on the scheduled date, and the cleanup wasn't the best, as I went out for a while afterwards to pick up roofing staples/nails before I'd let my dog out. It's a small price to pay for the amazing finished product. We are very pleased with the results so far. It looks great and it has held up great so far with all the wind and rain we had last week.

Price was very competive with other estimates. Workers were professional. Job well done.

I was provided a free estimate with available levels of roofing and options. Found estimate to be a good and fair price, provide answers to questions raised, accepted estimate and scheduled work to be done. Materials were delivered day prior to scheduled work. Crews showed up 15 minutes before scheduled start time and were on the roof working at scheduled time. Crew worked steadily through the day and completed job in 1 day. The crew took away all debris and cleaned up yard by using magnetic sweepers to pick up any loose nails. Roof looks great and have received many comments from neighbors.

Great! Augustine replaced my roof in approximately 4 hours. The team was friendly and cleaned up afterwards. The work was performed a month ago and so far I am very much satisfied.

Bill came to the house on a Saturday afternoon in late June and provided an estimate. He was cordial, matter-of-fact, and did not try to sell us things that we didn't need. His estimate was by far the lowest of four from several of the top-rated roofers in Northern Virginia on Angie's List. Some of the others were close to double the Augustine price. Bill was also highly recommended by a former Army colleague on a Facebook post even after we had decided to hire him. His crew showed up on time on the day of the roof replacement, stayed until sundown, and came back the next day to finish up the chimney flashing and eaves venting. We highly recommend Augustine Roofing.

Very well. The crew was outstanding. They worked all day and then past dark cleaning up the debris (even using flashlights to make sure everything was picked up). There were a few minor issues that were fixed the very next day. The quote was provided promptly and Bill Augustine (the owner) personally came out to the house to ensure the correct shingles were ordered to match the addition. The job was done on the day it was scheduled. No delays. I would highly recommend Augustine roofing.

I got 3 estimates with the same specifications regarding the quality and warranties of the shingles. Augustine, Inc clearly offered the best price. When Bill came to give me the estimate, I asked about getting my gutters replaced with larger ones because of a specific problem I was having over my front door. Bill said that I did not need to do that but he would install a "water diverter" and that will correct the problem, saving me an unnecessary expenditure. He thoroughly explained the quality of the shingles that they recommend although other more expensive shingles were available. Based on his explanation, I think I made the best decision for my situation. These shingles were also rated "Best Buy" by a national consumer magazine. I was pleased that the work could be done within 5 days because one of my gutters was dangling from a recent storm. Bill did not charge me for that additional work. The roof crew came on time and did the entire roof in one full day. There were 6 members of the crew and I was impressed with how efficiently they worked. The few times I discussed the progression of the work during the day, they were extremely helpful and informative. They put in a full 12+ hour day and did a great job of cleaning up all the debris around the perimeter of the house. When they left, you wouldn't even knew they were there. The roof looks great. Neighbors have favorably commented and wanted the name of the contractor which I happily provided.

Not well. They wouldn't come and give an estimate. I guess I shouldn't have said it was for a small job!

After a hailstorm hit our area, we started looking for a trustworthy roofer and not a "storm chaser" from who knows where. We checked on Angie's List and found Augustine Roofing. Augustine Roofing received Angie's List 2015 Super Service Award, was accredited by the BBB, and was a member of the National Roofing Contractors Association. When we called the Travelers Insurance Company and asked for one of their preferred roofers, they also recommended Augustine Roofing. We called for an appointment and Bill Augustine came out promptly and confirmed we did indeed have hail damage to our roof. When the Travelers adjustor and inspector came out to the house, Bill was there again to meet with them and made sure we received everything we were entitled to from the insurance claim. Bill and his office manager Tony were with us every step of the way while we picked out the style and color of the shingles, and answered all of our questions. We scheduled a start date and Bill's crew of five completed the job on our single family home in only one day! The roof looks fantastic and we can't say enough about Bill Augustine and his staff at Augustine Roofing. They are true professionals and we have recommended them to several of our friends and neighbors.

Work was done in one day. Workers swept the area for nails and trash after work was completed. Turn around from estimate was quick. This is the second house that I have used their services on and I have been satisfied both times.

Excellent job. My roof was damaged in a hailstorm earlier this year. Augustine was recommended to me by a friend and I contacted them along with two other companies to get quotes. Augustine was the first company to respond, and in fact completed the work before one of the three companies was even able to schedule a visit to my house to prepare an estimate. On the day of the actual job, a lot of guys showed up - at least 10, perhaps as many as a dozen. The work proceeded like a carefully choreographed ballet and the job was completed by early evening. Great care was taken throughout the job, including debris removal and cleanup. I can't imagine how many nails were removed as part of taking off the old shingles, but to date I have only found one stray nail on the ground around my house. Everyone was courteous and hard working. I was pleased to see that appropriate safety procedures were followed (safety lines, etc.). One nice touch - since it is hard to select a shingle color based on catalog pictures, Augustine sent me addresses of jobs in the neighborhood that they had recently done in the three different colors we were considering, so we were able to examples of their completed work as well as in situ examples the various colors. I hope I don't have to replace my roof again for a long time, but when I do this will be the first company I call.

I have lived in this house since it was built 25 years ago and the roof needed to be replaced. My process was to get three bids on the work. I used Angie's List to source two of the competitors and a personal referral (not on Angie's List) for the third. The bids ranged from the low $20s to the low $30s, All three bid the same type of shingles and offered an upgrade to a premium version. Interesting though, the prices varied between the providers both for the base price and upgrades. Augustine Roofing was the medium priced priced provided. Bill Augustine (Owner) came out to look at the property before they submitted their bid. He didn't try the "sky is falling" nonsense that the highest provider's Salesman tried. That guy wanted to do landscaping and other nonsense unrelated to the roof. Bill does roofs....and that is all they do. His crew took three days to strip the old roof, repair damaged plywood and apply the new material. The crew was outstanding, polite and worked diligently. They wrapped up every day cleaning the property of debris and nails. I highly recommend Augustine Roofing.

From beginning to end, I found the experience excellent. Ben (estimator) gave me a call 30 minute prior to arrival and was on time for the appointment. He was knowledgeable and professional, responding to my questions. The delivery of materials and the install went great as well. The roof installation team was professional and worked extremely hard late into the evening. They sent a guy to cleanup the interior drywall and Sheetrock for the skylights. The office staff was extremely professional and pleasant to work with. The roof looks great and the pricing was reasonable. Also have peace of mind with the 10 year warranty for leaks. Will definitely consider Augustine again in the future.

We had previously hired this company a few years ago to replace the roof over a sunroom on the side of our house. This time we called them back to replace the roof over the main part of the house, which had suffered hail damage. They came out, gave us an estimate, and worked with our insurance company adjuster to get it covered. The roof was replaced in a single day and they cleaned up everything very well. Very pleased with the result.
