I called Great Falls Septic Service Inc.after another company canceled a scheduled appointment the day before it was to occur. That appointment was made two months earlier. In contrast, Great Falls was able to schedule its appointment for the following week. The person I spoke to was knowledgeable and helpful when describing pricing for various services and septic system details. By the end of the call, all of my questions had been answered. Technician arrived on schedule, calling one hour before arrival. All services were performed professionally and without damage to landscape plantings and flower beds. I had a question about a possible repair. Technician looked at the potential problem and determined that it did not, at present, need repair. I appreciate that Great Falls did not propose unnecessary work. Pricing for the work that was performed was exactly as quoted. Technician provided good advice regarding things I should consider in the future. Based on my experience with the septic system, the advice was sound. Overall, I had an excellent experience working with Great Falls Septic Service and will use them again.

We had an alarm on our pump-fed septic. First we called Stewart Septic who we used previously for pump out. They couldn't find our records and then didn't show up for the appointment. So we called Great Falls; we were getting worried that the alarm could be an emergency, but they assured us it wasn't likely which helped us not panic. They came out right away and did a full assessment of the health of the system and determined it was the floats that needed to be replaced. They explained the options and pros and cons, and gave their recommendation. They also explained that the final test of the alarm couldn't be done until the floats were repaired, and that would reveal whether the rest of the electrical system was working. We know little about septic systems, this being our first house with one, and the one technician, who has about 25 yrs experience, took the time to explain what they were checking, what the results meant, and what the work would involve. He also answered many of our general questions about how the system works, how to keep it running best, and how to run the pump manually in case of a future alarm. They had to come back with the floats we selected, and they installed them in about 15 minutes. They were very friendly and seemed quite competent. They applied the cost of the diagnostic service call to the repair price.

I called a couple other septic places, and the earliest they could schedule me was the end of September/beginning of October. I called Great Falls Septic and they were able to get me in the end of the week. They gave me a window between 8am and 5pm, a little wide, but I'm a teacher and off for the summer, so not a huge deal. They called me around noon, and I had missed the call. When I called them back, they said they could be there in twenty minutes, which they were. They showed me where the outlet is for the septic tank so I know in the future. When they were done, they gave me the paperwork for the Fairfax County health department, and a magnet as a reminder when I should schedule the next one. After they left, I inspected where they had laid the hoses, pried up the lid, etc., basically, where they did the work, and you could not tell that they had even been here. Great job, would use again, and would recommend to others with no reservations.

I asked for a discount since I was using them from Angie's list.
They did not make any adjustment.
Shame on them.

They appeared in one day and did the job fast. They quoted me one price, and a higher one if more damage had been done and needed to be repaired. They then billed me the lower price, which was a welcome surprise.

The service was good. They arrived on the day as planned. The guys forgot to call before performing an extra service that added to the original quoted cost. When they called to let me know that the job was done and I told them I didn't get a call, they didn't charge me for the extra service. Great customer service. I will definitely use them again.
