Was selling my house and GF Septic was contracted to do the septic cleaning and inspection by my realtor. During the inspection it was noted that the two plastic distribution boxes were cracked and three floats were not operating properly. I was out of town during the inspection and the two workers (who speak limited English) were trying to tell my wife that we needed to get the repairs done now and the cost would be $2,500 for the repairs. My wife felt like she was being pressured to do the work and called me very upset. I told her to ask them to leave and we would get back to them with our response after I called around to a few other vendors. The average price for the three other vendors was approximately $2,000. I called GF and told them what others were charging us, and magically, they were able to reduce the cost to $2,050 which I accepted since they had done the original work. I told the woman that I felt they were trying to fleece the customer who is trying to sell their house. She apologized and said that they would never do that...but the proof was in the original price and the pressure they put on my wife to agree to it on the spot.
So they did the work about a week before the closing and left a huge mess in our yard waiting for the health inspector to review and sign off on the work. The inspector came on Friday (house was to close on Wednesday at 2:00 PM). On Monday morning I called them to see when they were coming to refill the hole and clean up the mess in my yard. I was promised they would be there first thing on Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning came and went and I called again on Tuesday afternoon. Was told the workers would be there later that afternoon...as she did not know what happened to the workers. Tuesday afternoon came and went.... So I called first thing on Wednesday morning saying that our closing was later that day and the buyers were doing a walk-through of the property at 12:30. She assured me that I was first on the list. 10:30 no workers...11:30 no workers...12:30 no workers and I had to apologize profusely to the new buyers who wanted to escrow our closing because the work was not finished.
This was totally unacceptable and I called again telling the woman that I wanted to speak to the owner. She gave me some story that the owner was working somewhere out of cell phone range...another excuse. I wanted to know what she could do for me since they made promises they did not keep and were never able to finish the work in time for the closing. She said she would have the owner call me back and resolve the issue.
I was able to close without escrow (promising that I would follow-up as necessary which was very embarrassing to me to say the least). The workers apparently showed up around 2:30 that afternoon while we were at the closing. I never got a call from the owner at Great Falls septic, but par for the course with the promises they make that never happen.
I have waited 3 weeks for the call as I really do not like to write poor reviews...but since I have heard nothing, this was my only way to vent my frustration with this company. I would never recommend this company to anyone. It was bad enough to pressure my wife into paying $500 more than others were charging...but to complete the work, take my money and not complete the job in time for the closing, after promising over and over again they would be there, was totally unacceptable.

The responsiveness was incredibly fast. They were hear early the next morning. The cost of the septic service, $275 was, I thought, on the high side for a small septic. The additional cost of emptying the sump, which took less than 2 minutes, was another $125. Okay, I can live with those amounts as they were quoted over the phone and they are flat rates. It was clear that I my sump pump was no longer working and would require replacement. I agreed for them to replace it that same afternoon and they were to call back with the cost. They did. It would cost $950. I complained that the cost was very high in view of the fact that the replacement sewage pump, a Zoeller M267, retails for $350. But what could I do? I had no alternative. Even Sears, which sells the same pump, does not install. So two guys came back in the afternoon, spend 43 minutes installing the new pump, and charged me the full $950--$600 more than the cost of the replacement pump. There were no additional materials, although they did take the old pump away. There was no travel fee; their office is less than 4 miles away. Finally, there was no discount for the $412 I gave them that morning to empty the sump and septic tank. As noted at the beginning, they were prompt and they were professional. They were also inexplicably expensive. I would use them in the future only after comparing the cost with other septic services.

Great service. Went to Great Falls Septic on recommendation of a neighbor, was very pleased with the experience. Requested they both pump the tank and conduct a full inspection - the two tasks were accomplished by two separate crews, the inspection team following the pumping team. Both teams showed up when expected, separated by only about 30 minutes. All concerned were very courteous and professional. I was concerned with limiting damage to the yard, which both crews made careful effort to avoid. With the use of a hose extension, pump crew was able to pump from the driveway rather than drive onto the lawn, which I appreciated. Both teams also took great care while digging up the septic cover and the distribution box cover, preserving sod and replacing it after the work was done and excavation re-closed, leaving little visible evidence of the work after they were complete. Overall very pleased and would definitely use Great Falls Septic in the future.
