In one word: Outstanding. The owner - Walter has done several pieces for me, including a museum quality mounting of a one of a kind Elvis autograph and he never fails to deliver. The quality of his craftsmanship and the materials that he uses perfectly compliment his design capabilities. He is dedicated to the outcome of each project and will spend hours with you to review the various framing, matting and color options so that each piece is both perfectly presented and preserved. He invests the time to understand not just what it is you want but more importantly why you want it so that he can capture elements in the design that make it more meaningful. A good example is a poster that I brought to him to frame. Rather than focus on how I thought I wanted it to look he wanted to know 'what is this for', 'is it for your house, is it a gift to someone, where will it hang, do you want this to be something that can be passed down in the future....' In the end the extra time helped him zero in on information that was so much more important to the piece than 'what color frame to do you want...'. Walter also never fails to deliver in terms of getting the impossible done on time. I had to put a rush on a very large piece and took the items to be mounted to his store during a week when he was on vacation. His assistant took my information but was reluctant to promise that the piece would be ready when I needed it - which due to my poor planning was about a week away. I could have taken the project to someone else but I was sure that Walter would do what he needed to in order to have it ready by the deadline and without fail he called early the following week after he had returned from vacation to tell me that he had finished the project. He didn't just meet my deadline but he put so much of himself into the project that when i unveiled it at the dedication event there was a line of people waiting to take their picture in front of it. There are several places that provide custom framing services in the area - from locally owned to chain stores and there is nobody better that Walter. The quality of his work, the passion that he puts in to each piece and the dedication to serving his customers are evident from the moment that you walk into his store. You might expect that he would be the most pricey person around but I have actually found that when you factor in the materials, the quality of his service and the caliber of his design work you are getting the best product and the best value. Even though he scales the project to meet your budget because he knows that one size does not always fit all he treats every customer the same and gives his utmost best regardless of whether you are framing a 5X7 picture or a having him create a large, custom museum quality piece.
